Yes, For a nano-second long billions of nano-seconds in the past,
I wondered about that until the Father revealed this:
Whoever does not believe is condemned.
Whoever does not believe does not get immersed in Jesus' Name.
The Scribes and Pharisees rejected Jesus, and were not immersed.
Whoever does not believe is condemned. (John 3:18) *Nowhere does the Bible say that whoever is not water baptized will be condemned. In regards to the Scribes and Pharisees, in Luke 7:29, we read - When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they justified God/acknowledged God's justice, (signified by) having been baptized with the baptism of John. 30 But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected God's purpose for themselves, (signified by) not having been baptized by John. Baptism did not magically make them become disciples, but their decision to become disciples was signified in baptism. Becoming a disciple is a heart decision which is made prior to becoming water baptized.

Are you really so naive to believe that EVERYONE throughout history who has been water baptized is a genuine believer? So EVERYONE in every false religion and cult that "claims" to be Christian and has received water baptism is a genuine believer? I know multiple people over the years (including myself) who have been water baptized (but did not truly believe at that time when they were water baptized). Now these people may have believed "mental assent" in the existence and in historical facts about Christ, but they did not believe in/have faith in/trust in/reliance in Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation.

Later, after receiving Christ through faith, I was re-baptized as a believer this time. What about infants who have been water baptized (well sprinkled in their case) in the Roman Catholic church or other churches that merely sprinkle infants? Are these infants believers? Are they mature enough to even know what it means to believe in/have faith in/trust in/reliance in Jesus Christ for salvation? Please tell me you are not that naive! o_O

I think it is hilarious that they cannot find something as simple and clear as to what Christ and the Apostles said to be saved. Is God hiding it from them? You would think not! Just not smart enough to comprehend the words. But then again...

Jeremiah 5:21
Now hear this, O foolish and senseless people, Who have eyes but do not see; Who have ears but do not hear.

Mark 8:18
"HAVING EYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVING EARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember,

This was a problem in the Old and New Testament.....were the people afflicted or did God afflict them because they were not worthy?

Scripture. Those who truly believe that salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works/believe the gospel by trusting in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation are genuine born again believers. (Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 1:16)
Really????

Two passages from Scripture with approximately 50 words total helps us identify the genuine born again believers?

Curious Mary

Yes, really. That's two of many passages, but if you reject those two passages, then you will most likely reject the rest as well. How many passages do you need to understand that genuine born again believers trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and not in works?

IF someone does not believe, they do not seek to be immersed - they oppose Jesus.
If someone does not even believe in the existence of Jesus, then they would not seek to be immersed.

Now YES or NO. EVERYONE throughout church history in every church that claims to be "Christian" who has been water baptized MUST have been a genuine believer?

Hmmmm....so no other Apostle could or did? Interesting....

I understand that you are dead set in your perspective.
You've created your alt to represent the Queen of Heaven.
So, you are totally engulfed in that stuff.
Its unlikely you are going to listen to me.
As i told you.

It is always good to read the whole chapter and get the context before one speaks.

You left out this one,

1st Corinthians 1:17

"""""For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel""""

It was the next verse in your "context" of verses.
You kinda left it out, as bible twisters are prone to do.
But dont worry about that, as i didnt leave it out.
I posted it for you.

Your cop out is expected, but not nice, no. What question and why ? What difference will it make TO YOU ? TO ANYONE ?
Are you pushing, promoting, or believing SOMETHING FALSE all along ?

What cop out? I answered the question.

Previously you said:

Whoever does not believe does not get immersed in Jesus' Name.
I just wanted to see if you believe that is a blanket statement and it does make a difference because not everyone in church history who has been water baptized was a genuine believer.

Thats easy.
Just read 28 Chapters in the "Acts of the Apostles".
No one is water baptized to BE saved.
Not one.
Every person is saved, born again, then water follows.
Quote the word saved followed by baptized sometime later.
Waiting for the scriptures.....waiting for you to misrepresent them.....waiting for you to lie.

"Baptized". "Saved" "Baptized" "Saved". "Baptized" "SAVED"

There are many anti-christs among us. Test everything.

Trust Jesus and follow Jesus.

I did not know this was ever a question here.

As Leonard Ravenhill noted decades ago, we doubt that even 5% of those who claim to be saved are saved. Baptized or not. (in the uas and briatin)
