During the first week of January 1989, I went to visit a woman I'd just met at a New Year's Eve party.
I knocked on her door and she let me in.
She said I could sit at her dining room table while she got us some drinks.
As I sat, I saw a bible sitting on the table in front of me.
I flipped it open and started to read.
I hadn't touched a Bible in years.
As I sat there, I watched as letters from the page jumped up in front of me and I was instantly under a clear, star-filled night with the moon shining bright.
I sensed someone was standing to my right, but I couldn't look.
My gaze was directed out in front of me.
A distance from me was the leading edge of a cloud bank.
On it was the front line of an army on horseback that stretched to the horizon.
My gaze was directed several lines back.
I saw soldiers on horseback and they were holding weapons.
My gaze was directed to the front line.
I saw soldiers that were holding musical instruments instead of weapons.
My gaze was directed to an individual rider.
It was me.
I was instantly back in my friend's dining room.
I've think this was an event to remove all evil from the Earth at some time in the future.
I believe that Jude 14 & 15, as well as the original source, 1 Enoch 1:9 (R.H. Charles version), describe it.

it only started on the day of pentecost. because people are still receiving the gifts of the Spirit.

PICJAG.
Yes it started then but was wrapped up by the end of the first century.

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

we must disagree with that first part of your assessment, and here's why. Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:39 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

we ask, is the Lord still calling people unto himself, even today, this very hour? well if yes, (and he is), then the gift is for them as well as us when we was called.

The Lord once said to me, "there is no man as blind as the blind man who believes he sees." At the time, He meant me. And please, never take my word for anything. Shalom.

this is where Faith come in at, Mark 10:46 "And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging."
Mark 10:47 "And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me."
Mark 10:48 "And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me."
Mark 10:49 "And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee."
Mark 10:50 "And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus."

Have Faith in what you believe.

The front line party's when it should be doing warfare, they have exchanged their weapons for musical instruments (sounds 'nice' but no power...this is the Church asleep) Those doing further back in the ranks have weapons but are they using them? (these are ones with truth but are they weilding it?)

I have to disagree with you here. I am an anointed worship leader and I know that when we worship God in Spirit and Truth, He inhabits the praises of His people.
In the vision, I was looking back at the army. If there were praises being sung, He would be leading His army out in front. Or it could've been Him standing at my right side.
Either way, it was the first full vision I've had and the only one like it.
As it turned out, my friend was a Spirit-filled Christian. Jude vv. 14 & 15 are deeper than they first appear. It took a bit of mental effort before I got it. And there was a circumstance I didn't write about. It was a God thing. Thanks for the post. Goodnight and Shalom.:)

Greetings in Christ and welcome to the forum.

About your passage, I think the reference is to angels rather than saints, because the word ἁγίαις in "ἐν ἁγίαις μυριάσιν αὐτοῦ" simply means "holy ones," and most commentators understand it to be a reference to angels coming to execute judgment, since this is one of their primary roles in God's economy.

But I believe your vision was likely from God, in that it relates directly to your calling. You are correct that He inhabits the praises of His people, and without Him we can do nothing. In Him, however, we are more than conquerors, hence the vision of the army. I believe it relates to your potentially being able to lead men and women of God, i.e. those entrusted to become true spiritual warriors, in worship, which will bring the Presence and Power of God to bear on their lives, and empower them to do His work.

How old are you, may I ask?

Btw, the imagery of Joel 2 is probably more applicable to what you saw, since it relates more directly to the saints and the end-time army of God.

Blessings in Christ,
Hidden In Him

The promise is of resurrection unto life, not weird dreams

Anthony, where in the context of Acts 2 is the subject matter about the resurrection and not the outpouring?

Acts 2:14-19 is about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Yes, Acts 2:22-31 is about the resurrection of Christ, but Peter brings it up to explain what has made the outpouring possible in verse 33. He then addresses the promise of his hearers receiving the outpouring in Verse 38, and he identifies this as the specific promise he is referring to in verse 39.

I think you are reinterpreting the word to fit your doctrine rather than letting it interpret itself.

Blessings in Christ,
- H

Hi, I like your handle, along with your post. 7 years to the week, if not the day, after I had this vision, I led worship for the first Sunday morning service of the new Brantford Vineyard. I was part of the church plant. That time for me was almost like living in Heaven. All God, all the time. I was so in love with Him that I'd stay up late just to talk with Him. He was more important to me than sleep.
Anyway, I was pretty sure of what you said myself. It made sense to me. And God may have had this in mind also. But He did something that convinced me there was more. I will most likely share it here, but I want to ponder it some more. I actually don't think about it that much.
When I had the vision, I hadn't talked to God in years, I hardly knew him. I got saved when I was 14. When I first heard John 3:16, I had my first vision, though I didn't know what it was at the time. As I stood there listening, I saw somewhere else. It was like a curtain was in front of me, like a Jewish prayer shawl. A hand holding a sword burst through the curtain and plunged it into my belly. As this happened, I knew it was true. I burst into tears and repeated the sinner's prayer. I only went to church to stop a relative from pestering me to go. I had had no intention of going back. As it worked out, I didn't.
I didn't know anything about Christianity nor did I know any Christians. At the time, I was into sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. I eventually slid back into my old life.
I did go to a Christian Reformed church for a year in 1990. I loved the people there. I also felt loved. While I was there, a revival broke out. But in the end, the establishment squashed it. I and half the people left. I also walked away from God.
When I was at my Vineyard, the big Toronto Airport Vineyard disobeyed a direct order from John Wimber of Vineyard Anaheim and was asked to leave the fellowship. Once again, I felt split down the middle.
I used to go to the Airport church 3 or 4 times a week for years. It was like one's parents had gotten divorced.
I left my church in January 1998 and went to a home church for a few years. Then God started to deal with my carnal nature.
In 2005, I'd been at a downtown outreach that focused on youth at risk for 6 months. I'd never gone to so many funerals, almost all young people. My son's friend was murdered when his house suffered a home invasion. I played at his funeral.
Young people seem to die so easily. The media/music/movie/T.V. industries have destroyed their hope. Much of the death was and is caused by opioids.
On the plus side, I got to meet and get to know about a hundred wonderful young people. Then God told me to leave. I didn't. A few weeks later I was feeling miserable, and when I asked Him why, all He said was, "I told you to leave." This time I listened.
I left all my friends and the opportunity to minister. I tried to join 3 other groups, but it never worked out. He has a plan for me, though. Now I'm sad. I'm sorry about going on for so long. I just get so excited talking about Jesus that I can get carried away.
In answer to your question, I'll be 62 next month. Have a blessed day and it's been good talking with you. I hope we can do it again. Ron.
