Yeah, I did it for Wikitree for awhile. I also have a family tree that goes back to Normandy in the 1500's. My Wikitree work confirmed it back to 1772. My last name came from Normandy and before the 1500's, my ancestors came from Scandinavia. I toyed with the possibility that they were Vikings, and then a few weeks ago I watched a documentary that confirmed it. I've never heard of anyone I knew personally that were descended from them. Too much.

These are excellent words, and more than mere encouragement. They include strong citations of scripture, which the early church once included in their spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16), but have in our day become more watered down.

You do have a gift, and you need to stir it up until your time comes, and you go on to be with the Lord.

we must disagree with that first part of your assessment, and here's why. Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:39 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

we ask, is the Lord still calling people unto himself, even today, this very hour? well if yes, (and he is), then the gift is for them as well as us when we was called.

During the first week of January, 1989, I went to visit a woman I'd just met at a New Year's Eve party. I knocked on her door and she let me in. She said I could sit at her dining room table while she got us some drinks. As I sat, I saw a bible sitting on the table in front of me. I flipped it open and started to read. I hadn't touched a bible in years. As I sat there, I watched as the letters from the page jumped up in front of me and I was instantly under a clear, star-filled night with the moon shining bright. I sensed someone was standing to my right, but I couldn't look. My gaze was directed out in front of me. About a few hundred yards from me was the leading edge of a large cloud bank. On it was the front line of an army on horseback that stretched to the horizon. My gaze was directed several lines back. I saw soldiers on horseback and they were holding weapons. My gaze was directed to the front line. I saw soldiers that were holding musical instruments instead of weapons. My gaze was directed to an individual rider. I saw it was me. I was instantly back in my friend's dining room. - I've come to understand that this event is to remove all evil from upon the Earth at some time in the future. I believe that Jude:vv. 14 & 15 describes this event. Beyond that, I don't know. Any thoughts?

If the dreams comes from God, even if they seem odd, we had best pay attention. Can a sheep not recognize His voice?

"And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice." John 10:4

We hear His voice in scripture, not outside of it.That is why he gave the Apostles all that pertains to life and godliness.

You can debate it but start your own thread. The testimony forum is not for debating....if we allowed everyone to debate a members testimony then it would cause many to shy away from sharing what God has done in their lives. This is one of those forums that is protected from debates....same as the prayer forum, and the praise forum.
