Well, I am sure Trump could blame his campaign managers.

Anyone but himself. His shtick seems to be finished. Huge crowds of screaming partisans seem to have gone away.

Anyone want to bet on how many more campaign managers he'll burn through before the election?

It's funny; he fires everyone, except the one person who's firing would fix things.

I was doing more work on my spreadsheet, modifying it slightly to see how "undecided" voters there were. Some times it doesn't matter who's slightly ahead in a poll. If a lot of people haven't made up their minds, you can try to guess how they'll go -- and odds usually show them falling in line with the people who have made up their minds -- but that's not always true.

For example, Biden is currently ahead in Arizona by 3.2%, but there's a lot of people who haven't made up their minds yet -- 6.3%. If Trump could find something to appeal to more of that 6.3%, he might be able to win there. Florida is probably a lost cause for Trump however. Although 6.2% of the people remain undecided, Biden has a lead of 6.2% meaning everyone who's undecided now would have to go for Trump to tie.

Biden now looks as if he has several states in the bag that Trump carried in 2016: North Carolina, Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania. It would be extremely hard for Trump in any of those four since Biden is close 50% and there are not that many undecided voters. Trump has not flipped any of the states that Hillary won in 2016. Nevada is a possible win for him but it's an uphill battle -- but I haven't included in Biden's "win" column yet, only as "likely."

Biden now has 306 "very probable" electoral votes, Trump 110. When you add the "likely" or "leaning" numbers, Biden gets 47 and Trump 75 -- yielding totals of 353 to 185. A candidate needs only 270 to win.

Could Trump win? He could if Biden fails to get his supporters out to the polls. Clinton had that problem in 2016. I think Biden may have a problem with Latinos in Florida. It won't matter if Latinos tell pollsters they're voting for Biden if they don't bother to vote. On the other hand, if Biden could inspire Latinos in Texas to vote, he might win there or come close.

Joe Biden just destroyed one of Trump's biggest attack lines (opinion) - CNN

Not many CNN fans on this forum, but a bit of a funny article, love this suggestion.

"But here's an idea that might convince even higher numbers. Instead of a fourth debate that Trump's team wants, why not hold a good old-fashioned bicycle race between the two?!"
Sounds good to me.

I don't know if Trump's campaign knows what they're asking for. Biden is usually pretty mellow, and I think that's why Trump calls him sleepy Joe, but he can get feisty if rubbed the wrong way. Biden got into an argument this spring with someone at one of his events and threatened to slap the man. He might challenge Trump to a boxing match.

But Trump can hold a glass without spilling, if he uses two hands, so there!

And he can walk down a ramp, if he has someone there to steady him. It would be cruel to put him on a bicycle; that would be making fun of his disabilities.

This is a silly exaggeration. I've seen Trump go down plenty of ramps without assistance.

On the other hand, Biden puts his foot in his mouth more than any presidential candidate I've ever seen, but the MSM doesn't call him on it. Trump uses both hands to take a drink of water, and he must be incompetent, lol. Maybe his arm was sore!!!!!!

Let's see. He is hitting some rough spots in Wisconsin where "Mickey Mouse" and "Bernie Sanders" signed the petition to get him on the ballot there.

Democrats in Wisconsin have asked state officials to block Kanye West from standing, claiming that he used bogus signatures like 'Mickey Mouse' and 'Bernie Sanders'

The Democratic Party in Wisconsin is urging state officials to block Kanye West from being on the state's presidential election ballot in November, claiming that he submitted his nomination papers late and used bogus signatures.

The party has filed a complaint claiming that the rapper's team did not submit its papers to Wisconsin's Elections Commission by 17:00 on Tuesday, the formal deadline, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The complaint also alleged that West's papers included bogus signatures and addresses.

Among the signatures submitted were "Mickey Mouse," Vermont Senator "Bernie Sanders," and two for "Kanye West."
The real objective is to take away votes from Biden in so Trump can win in some states where Biden is ahead now. Rumor has it that someone from the Trump campaign was trying to help him get on the ballot in Wisconsin. It wouldn't surprise me. Another operative helping him is Chuck Wilton who is married to someone Trump appointed in the Department of Agriculture.

That reminds me of Charlie Chaplin's hilarious speech in "The Great Dictator" when the crowd cheered him for drinking water the way Trump's audience cheered him. If someone had told me I'd see that comedy bit played out in real life, I wouldn't have believed it.

Well *update* Joe Biden has chosen Kamala Harris to run for VP.

'We're going to beat Trump': Joe Biden chooses Kamala Harris as running mate
I was hoping for Susan Rice, but I realized she might not even want the job. She doesn't seem like the type that would enjoy campaigning or promoting herself -- but that's one reason I liked her. I have some reservations about Harris, to be honest. I also like Sheila Jackson Lee a lot; but I knew she was a long shot too. I liked Sharon Bass too, but she had "baggage" that would have been awkward since it would have been easy to paint her as a Marxist for some of her past comments in her younger days. It is true that Castro accomplished a few good things in Cuba; but people who dared to say so made themselves open for attack.

Bass might not have wanted the job. The prospects of her becoming the next Speaker of the House are pretty good if you ask me. I'm a little surprised Harris wanted it. Her mentor and ex-lover, Willie Brown, advised against it. Her affair with him when he was married is one of the reasons I see Harris as opportunistic. She and Brown can deny she slept her way up the ladder of politics, but it looks shabby to me. To be blunt, I don't really believe her. I am disappointed. It reminds me of how Hillary hung onto Bill after his grossly immoral behavior -- Hillary was after the political advantages of being Bill's official wife. Harris doesn't seem to care about morality either -- I am disappointed Biden didn't pick someone who avoided the appearance of wrongdoing.

In a way, it's a step backwards. If women want to be treated as equals, they shouldn't be sleeping their way to the top. If Harris wanted to have an affair with Brown, then she should have declined any help from him in her political career.

They don't actually have any black people; they just have people to feel empowered to tell black people what's best for them.

Too bad for Trump Herman Cain isn't around any longer. . . . He might have been able to get black people to listen to him.

Well *update* Joe Biden has chosen Kamala Harris to run for VP.

'We're going to beat Trump': Joe Biden chooses Kamala Harris as running mate

This is the text of that prophecy:

Kamala Harris: A Star Will Rise — Destiny Encounters International

Kamala Harris: A Star Will Rise

[1]I was praying and suddenly I found myself in the Spirit looking for what was to come. [2]In my eyes I could see the state of California and a rising star. [3]I heard the Lord say, “behold the woman that will rise from the West!” [4]I look to see a light skinned black woman standing before me with authority poised to take political power. [5]It was Kamala Harris, she will rise from California as a bright star in the coming days.

[6]The Lord said unto me, “She has been hand picked by some in power as a queen to trump President Trump in 2020. [7]This is their hidden vision that has yet to unfold. [8]They will use her to grab the hearts of people in the nation and attempt to create momentum and build a political bridge from the east to the west. [9]They will set her on a course to make major waves in the country for a time.

[10]Her eyes will be opened and her heart will be changed when she sees that they have played her as a pawn in a political game only to put forth a rook in an attempt to upset a king, in the end this plan will fail. [11]She will be broken as a result of this reality, through this I will show her my mercy and teach her about true justice.

[12]Her political future will be hung in the balance and I will present her with a choice to choose a difficult road. [13]One that will build bridges across enemy lines and forge friendships from common political rivals, she is my bridge builder. [14]I will use her to build new political alliances that help those in need in the nation.

[15]Where she was once hated by some she will be seen as a trusted ally and praised as she brings justice to the poor of the country. [16]My destiny for her life is that she fulfill the promise that she made to her mother when she was young.

[17]If she chooses I will lead her down this difficult path to seal the legacy of her father and mother. [18]In the end she will be remembered for the advancement of civil rights and economic justice among Americans.

-Prophet Charlie Shamp

I suspect that sentences (or verses) 6 to 10 of this prophecy is another Trump prophecy that Trump will succeed in the 2020 election. We shall see in November, whether this is a true prophecy or not. Interestingly, Charlie Shamp, in this prophecy, is not affirming that Donald Trump is another christ who has a religious mandate to rule and to exact obedience. That teaching may exist in his other prophecies.

As a personal opinion, I'm skeptical of this prophecy. For me, Scripture is sufficient and the days of public, written prophecies are past.

Is Trump trying to lose in Iowa? People go to campaign, but when Iowa needs help, Trump seems unable to do much. True, he won Iowa by over 9% last time; but he's ahead of Biden now by 1.7%. I think the lack of a response to the disaster in Iowa means he will lose support there. He could easily lose the state to Biden.

Ashton Kutcher slams Pence, Trump for lack of relief following deadly derecho in Iowa: 'Wake up'

Ashton Kutcher put the federal government on blast for failing to provide relief after a derecho ripped through his home state of Iowa and other states of the Midwest this week.

The actor, 42, used his Twitter account to sound off, claiming little has been done to help get Iowa back on its feet after a swath of destruction and power outages were a result of its 800-mile trek.

The storm system tore from eastern Nebraska across Iowa. One woman in Indiana was found dead clutching her grandson in her crushed mobile home while another person was killed in Iowa.

"Where is the federal relief for Iowa? 10m acres of crops have been destroyed. Houses. Communities. Wake up federal gov! What because it’s not called a tornado or hurricane you don’t need to act fast? Come On!!" tweeted the Cedar Rapids native.

Kutcher then called out Vice President Pence and President Trump specifically for their alleged lack of response.

"You were there campaigning. You saw with your own eyes. Do something," Kutcher tweeted to Pence.

Have they already started counting or is this just a prediction? If they have already started counting, it's showing Biden winning by a landslide.

*Edit I think they are showing what the outcome would be if the election were held today.

View attachment 10305

RealClearPolitics - 2020 Election Maps - 2020 Electoral College Map
It's their prediction of results if the election were held today. I have different cut-offs in how I categorize the states, but my numbers are similar. North Carolina has changed since I gave my last numbers -- I see RCP has it "neutral" while I put in the "likely Trump" category. They appear to be using the percentage of the lead as their only criterion.

I see they have Wisconsin colored gray. That makes sense depending on where their cut off is. It's true Biden doesn't have a big lead there; but he's at that magical 50% mark with Trump coming in at 43.5%. That leaves 6.5% of the voters undecided, and Trump would need them all to go his way for him to tie. I think it's quite safe to predict a Biden win there.

My numbers are solid Biden = 291 and solid Trump = 110. I have 137 leaning one way or the other. Most of those leaning towards Trump, about two to one. Trump's problem is that even if he could get all the states leaning now to Biden to vote for him as well as those leaning to him, he still wouldn't have enough to win.

He's lost a lot of support in four states he won in 2016: Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. How could Trump win Florida? The only way I can see him winning is by suppressing the vote somehow. True 6.2% of the people there are undecided; but of the people who have, 50.3% say they are going to vote for Biden while only 45.3% plan to vote for Trump. Even if all the undecideds voted for Trump, he'd still lose. RCP's map doesn't show that however since they're going by the size of the lead only. It's quite safe to color Florida blue.

It's also safe to predict that some Republican Senators will act like rats abandoning a sinking ship as they try to put distance between themselves and President Trump. It's already started with some of them expressing disagreement with him in a way they didn't when he was more popular.

This will sound wild maybe, but I wouldn't be surprised if Trump resigned saying he had health problems or something. Republicans could put the pressure on him to step aside; and he could also save face that way. It's almost for certain if he stays in, he's going to lose -- and what a blow to his ego that would be. I hope he does resign since it would calm the nation down -- some people are afraid Trump supporters will resort to violence when he loses, claiming the election was rigged, etc.
