before i answer, i need to know what YOU call "the words of jesus"
All of the books God wanted in the Bible are in the Bible. He has the ability to keep His Word. End of subject!

Best answer I have seen.
Man is not so much in control as to stop God from getting us what He wanted us to have. The Holy Ghost is our teacher, and if all those other books were suppose to be included, then bless God, nobody could stop them from being published in all the different bibles today.
Just because the bible "May" mention other records, does not mean they are Holy Ghost inspired, and are God's Word. If the Bible were to mention someones shopping list, and we unearth that list, does not mean it should be included as scripture.
1 Camel
1 Donkey (2 if there is a sale)
Bread
Fish (if not more than 2 days old)
It's also a big reach to assume that we actually have the real original works the bible may mention. People can name anything the way they want. This is a faith issue, and faith would trust God to give us what we need and what He considers correct.
Jesus Is Lord.

what do you guys think of the many religious books that were written (many mentioned in the bible), that were not included in the biblical canon?
were they devinely inspired? who gave king james the authority to decide which books were?
