You are also talking time periods which are not relevant to dating methods for only 4000 years ago - of which there are many - and all of which you have little or no understanding.

This is not about contradicting man made ideas - like the Trinity Doctrine for example - or the numerous self contradiction in the Bible - no external evidence required.

This is about challenging basic science - and everything we know about the world around us - putting it in a box - and claiming that it is irrelevant.

A Global Flood did not happen in the way described in Genesis. The story may not have been intended to be taken literally ... but what we do know - is that this story was in the general collective conscience of all the peoples of the Near east for thousands of years - part of their religious belief. Exactly the same as the account in Genesis in many respects ... Genesis having slight differences to the main narrative .. nothing major.

So the people of the Near East - Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Canaanites, Israelites .. and all the other peoples mentioned - believed in the same general narrative .. that came from the distant past .. some perhaps took it literally - some as myth - some as Allegory - a story that is intended to convey a lesson..

In any case .. there was a main narrative - with many variations - some much more elaborate than Genesis.. Genesis is actually quite short by comparision .. All of the first part of Genesis however is a retelling of the exact same narrative..

The folks who put the OT together under Persia selected the version they liked .. or was traditional .. round 500 BC.

You have to remember that prior to the Persian period - El was still "The Most High" .. and worshiped as such by the Israelites and everyone else.. as we are told in the Bible.

Would you like to hear about some of these other creation stories ? - learn how El's brother Enki mixed clay (earth) - with a sacrificed God to create humans.. interesting stuff.

but in any case -- the basic narrative in Ugaritic Religious belief .. of which Israel shared - is the same.

You realize that Israel was not worshiping YHWH throughout their history - as the monotheistic entity presented in the modern OT.
And most of the time they were not even worshiping YHWH... as is told to us in the Bible.

and then it ended .. supposedly some scribe found the "Book of the Law" - just before it ended ... Hezikiah ? .. So that is the literature you have to go on. Solomon was building temples to Child sacrifice Gods .. so things had gone south on YHWH for a long long time.. we are talking over 300 years..

Things were getting very tough - and obviously worshiping the wrong Gods is to blame - cause thats what folks blamed it on back in the day .. whether you were an Israelite or an Assyrian.

but then it ended .. The Northern Kingdom was already gone - under Assyrian Control round 700 .. and the Southern Kingdom was struggling - and finally collapsed.

Fortunately - The Babylonian Captivity was cut short roughly 600 BC down to 530 BC - but still 70 years until Persia took over and allowed the Jews to return to Judah.

So these start out with what ?-- The book of the Law and some stories written during the various captivities of Assyria and Babylon.

Genesis was written during this time period .. a compilation of old stories - some written - some oral - adapted for a new book that would represent the Jewish Religion.

I don't think we need to take Genesis literally - in order to Believe in One God .. or believe that parts of the story are true .. relics from a distant past that are shrouded in mystery - that we get small glimpses of from time to time.

The God of Abraham was "EL" - or some representation of EL - get it - got it - good.

One thing the Bible is not silent on is the Global Flood - The problem is that the evidence proves this event did not happen - and not all humans were killed round 2200 BC.
