Nothing in the Bible about "Mary the queen of Heaven".
Hi,

Is there anything in the Bible that says what the table of contents for the Bible should be?

Curious Mary

Answer to what? Catholicism ain't in the Bible.

thee faith is found 31 times in the New Testament
keep the faith
One Lord one faith one baptism eph 4:5
Jude 1:3 contend for thee faith

you have no authority to read the Bible for yourself and pick and choose your own faith!

we must be taught and instructed
Matt 28:19 Lk 1:4 acts 8:30

Rom 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name

The word of God is not limited to the Bible alone!

How do you know from the Bible alone exactly what is and what is not the Bible?

The church and the apostles with power and authority were founded before the New Testament, and wrote the New Testament and cannonized the Bible!

The rule of faith is not the Bible or the Bible alone, but God, and His divine revelation!

Matt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (It does not say every verse of the Bible alone)

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy work.

Matt 16:16-17 Peter received divine revelation from the Father.

Lk 3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

(This is divine revelation and opposes the doctrine of the Bible alone, the heavens are not the Bible or Bible alone, the word of God did not come to Peter, John etc. by the Bible or Bible alone)

What about apostolic succession?

it is Jesus Himself continuing His ministry in His church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority of Christ!
Jn 20:21-23

the work of God in Jesus by the Holy Spirit thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors!

Jn 15:5 apart from you can do nothing!

Matt 28:19 “behold I am with you (the apostles) until the end of the world”so there must be apostolic succession!
act 1 Mathias takes the office of Judas

Peter, the apostles, and their successors are given the authority (keys) and power (bind and loose) that was taken from the successors of Moses matt 23 and Jesus commanded the successors of Moses be obeyed! And Peter, the apostles, and their successors! Matt 28:19

John 13:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Why Peter first, 3 times? He barely wrote any of the NT. Why not Paul or John who wrote most of the NT?

When you compare the different accounts of the crucifixion, they CLEARLY show the mother of James and Joseph to be the wife of Clopas (also called, Alphaeus) – not Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Any attempt to connect these people as uterine brothers of Jesus are squashed by the Bible.

well I have compared the verses,
TWO Mary's and there are three James
the Key is in Joses and John as the which who brother is James. lets see it clearly.

*** John 19:25 "Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene." there are three Mary's here in this verse. Joseph Maty, and Cleophas Mary, as well as Mary Magdalene

but lets clear up the mystey in the James. James the Less and his brother John, vs James the Greater and his brothers Joses, and Judas

watch the LARGE PRINT.

Matthew 13:55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?" (James the Greater). lets confirm this,
Jude 1:1 "Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:"
so this is (James the Greater)

now,
Matthew 4:21 "And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them." (this James is the Less)

Matthew 10:2 "Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;" (James the Less). that's confirmed
Hold IT John? John 19:26 said, "When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!" John 19:27 "Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. this John is the brother to (James the Less)

now lets see the other Jame of Alphaeus
Matthew 10:2 "Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;"
Matthew 10:3 "Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;" (James of Alphaeus)

Matthew 17:1 "And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,"
(James and John are blood brothers). (James the Less) because his brother is John

Matthew 27:56 "Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children."
here we have two Mary's the second Mary, the Mother of (James the Greater), because his brother Joses. and we have the wife of Zebedee's children, (James the less) and his brother John. *** that's the key to follow.

****************************************************
the two Mary's separated.
Mark 15:40 "There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;"
THIS is where the LIE starts. this mistake of tying Joses, and Salome, to Mary the Mother of James the less Zebedee wife. (How do we know this Mary of Joses, and Salome? because the Mary of the Lord Jesus and James the Greater was implied. because the name Mary. Mary of James the less is the wife of ofZebedee sons. but Joses, and Salome is not Zebedee son or daughter.
remember, to know the different James watch for either John or Joses. lest go on

*****************************************************

Luke 6:16 "And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor." (James the Greater)
Jude confirm this, for Jude is Judas. Jude 1:1 "Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:"

NOW WE GET TO SEPARATION BY THE BOOK OF ACTS.

Acts 1:13 "And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, (this is James the Less, Zebedee sons), and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, (THE JAMES, of Alphaeus) and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James." so the two James of Zebedee, and Alphaeus was there but not the Lord's Borher James the Greater.

NOW THE SEPARATION CLEARLY.
Acts 12:2 "And he killed James the brother of John with the sword." (this is James the Less) how do we know, for John is his brother
So from here on out, it's (James the Greater, the Lord\s Uterine), for the James the less is killed, because who was killed was the brother of John. now with Jamess the less Killed, there is only two James left. and Jame the Greater is not called greater for nothing, whos brother is Joses, and Jude. and how do we know this? Galatians 1:19 "But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother." well James the brother of John, (the less), has been killed.

Acts 12:17 "But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place."

Acts 15:13 "And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:" (James the Greater)

Acts 21:18 "And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present." (James the Greater)

Galatians 2:9 "And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision." (James the Greater)

Galatians 2:12 "For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision." (James the Greater)

so we can see where the lie started, listen,
When you compare the different accounts of the crucifixion, they CLEARLY show the mother of James and Joseph to be the wife of Clopas (also called, Alphaeus) – not Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Any attempt to connect these people as uterine brothers of Jesus are squashed by the Bible.

they CLEARLY show the mother of James and Joseph to be the wife of Clopas (also called, Alphaeus)? are you sure,

Mark 15:40 "There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;"
see that conjunction there... AND? it's two Mary's there for James the less is Zebedee son. but of Joses, and Salome is the Lord's brother and sister.

as SAID, to clear upi the Mystery, "James the Less, his brother is always John, vs where as James the Greater, his brother is always Joses.

you will never find James the Less and John as Joseph Mary's sons. that's where one catch the LIE at. Mark 15:40 "There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;" (TWO MARY'S here, one of Janes the less, and the other of Joses and Salone.

when one who is a babe read this, they automatically say that's Clopas (also called, Alphaeus) children also. lie, it's neither.

I had to go back through the scriptures myself and compare. when one go back this is the first principles of the oracles of God, (see Hebrew 5:12-15).

You have it backwards.

James the Less is the brother of Joses (Joseph) snd the son of Mary and Clopas (Alphaeus). This is the "brother" of the Lord.
The other James who was an Apostle was the brother of John and the son of Zebedee.

Uh huh - and James the Greater is the brother of John, son of Zebedee and Salome.
James the Less is the brother of Joses and the son of Alphaeus/Clopas and the other Mary standing near the cross.

NOT sure where you're getting James the Greater being the brother of Joses - and James the Less being the brother of John.
This is incorrect.

This is incorrect.

your first ERROR, Jame the Greater is brother to Joses, Matthew 13:55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?" that's your FIRST MISTAKE. Joses is James the GREATER brother, lets prove it OUT.

there are three accounts at the cross with women, Account where you messed up is here.
Account #1. Mark 15:40 "There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;"

you think Joses, and Salome is connected to James the Less here NO, lets quickly prove this OUT. listen, James the Brother of John was killed by Herod with the sword, Acts 12:1 "Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church."Acts 12:2 "And he killed James the brother of John with the sword."

and this was before the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15:13 "And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:"

now if this was the Mary the wife of Cleophas, then the scriptures lie For the Mary of Cleophas is not mention of having Children, but Cleophas or Alphaeus himself did have children by not by this wife mention here.

LETS SEE the ACCOUNT.
Matthew 27:55 "And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:"
Matthew 27:56 "Among which was Mary Magdalene, (woman #1) and Mary the mother of James and Joses, (Mary the Mother of Jesus, woman #2), and the mother of Zebedee's children, (woman #3)". who's missing here?, (the wife, the wife, and not the mother, but the wife), yes the wife of Cleophas or Alphaeus, NOT THE "MOTHER" of his children but his "WIFE". now knowing that, now John ACCOUNT.

for John 19:25 bare this out also. "Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, (James and Joes), and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene." BINGO, the WIFE of Cleophas, not the MOTHER of Cleophas children

so your lie is, "James the Less is the brother of Joses and the son of Alphaeus/Clopas and the other Mary standing near the cross."
see, the Mother of James the less cannot be Alphaeus/Clopas, wife. Listen, Mary the wife of Cleophas, not the Mother of Cleophas children.. BINGO.

Here, is the three Mary's there at the cross, #1. Mary Magdalene, #2. Mary the mother of James the less who is Zebedee Son. STOP Cleophas or Alphaeus Wife is not there. listen,

so we have
#1. Mary Magdalene

#2. Mary the Mother of Jesus

#3. the Mother Zebedee's children, this woman is Mary of James the Less

#4. Mary the wife of Alphaeus/Clopas

Now lets look at the apostle list..
Matthew 10:2 "Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;" (the Less)
Matthew 10:3 "Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;"

so the James of Zebedee, and John his brother have nothing to do with James and Joses, of Mary the Mother of Jesus.

NOW KNOWING THAT, since the James who's brother of John was killed, before the Council of Jerusalem, and Paul made this statement after the Council meeting, Galatians 1:19 "But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother."

and KNOWING THAT, in the apostle account, James the son of Alphaeus didn't have any brothers mention. so that leave, Matthew 13:55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?"

so the KEY to understanding the mystery is in the TERM "WIFE", vs "MOTHER". just follow the brothers of the James.

A. James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother

B. James the son of Alphaeus, no brother

I suggest you research it out.

your first ERROR, Jame the Greater is brother to Joses, Matthew 13:55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?" that's your FIRST MISTAKE.

Another asinine argument presented by a guy who is completely devoid of any Scriptural knowledge.

Your entire argument collapses (many times) - but especially where you quote Matt. 27:56, above in LARGE BOLD letters.
Here is the verse:
Matt. 27:56
among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

This is how YOU interpret it:
"Among which was Mary Magdalene, (woman #1) and Mary the mother of James and Joses, (Mary the Mother of Jesus, woman #2), and the mother of Zebedee's children, (woman #3)". who's missing here?, (the wife, the wife, and not the mother, but the wife), yes the wife of Cleophas or Alphaeus, NOT THE "MOTHER" of his children but his "WIFE". now knowing that, now John ACCOUNT.

YOU attribute Mary, mother of Jesus as the "2nd" Mary as the one who is called the "mother of James and Joses".
Mary is ALWAYS called the Mother of Jesus (the Lord). She is NEVER called the mother of anybody else.

As I educated you in my original argument - you need to take ALL of the accounts of the crucifixion into consideration like ALL serious Scripture scholars do - and there you will find the truth.

Finally - James the Greater is the brother of John and the Son of Zebedee. I don't know WHO told you differently, but they lied to you.

Mary, the "Mother of James the Less and of Joses" is Mary, wife of Clopa/Alphaeus - NOT Mary, mother of Jesus and wife of Joseph.

In, we see that Alphaeus is the father of James the Less:
Luke 6:15

". . . and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot"

I don't know WHY you keep making things up.

Mary, the "Mother of James the Less and of Joses" is Mary, wife of Clopa/Alphaeus - NOT Mary, mother of Jesus and wife of Joseph.

In, we see that Alphaeus is the father of James the Less:
Luke 6:15

". . . and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot"

thanks for the reply, yes, lets clearly see it. there are only THREE Mary's mention in the accounts. watch the bold red.

#1. Mark 15:40 "There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;" (it's three women here, because Joses, and Salome belong to Jesus Mary, just hold it and we will prove it).

#2. John 19:25 "Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, (James and Joes), and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene." Notice "wife" of Cleophas.

#3. Matthew 27:55 "And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:"
Matthew 27:56 "Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children." BINGO.

Now this, Matthew 13:55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?"

now the catcher,
so we have
#1. Mary Magdalene

#2. Mary the Mother of Jesus, (James, and Joses), who you now admitt that are brothers.

#3. the Mother Zebedee's children, (James and John), IS THIS now Alphaeus/Clopas wife? #4. Mary

#4. Mary the wife of Alphaeus/Clopas, (the mother of James the less?) I put a question mark ther, for the account show three women. or unless the wife of Alphaeus/Clopas is the Mother of Zebedee's children, then we have four Mothers. but the bible only gives three accounts of the women as mothers.

and since James the son of Alphaeus didn't have any brothers mention. so that leave, Matthew 13:55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?"

knowing that, Acts 12:2 "And he killed James the brother of John with the sword." so James the brother of John was KILLED. but the angel let Peter out of Jail,
Acts 12:17 "But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place."

that means the Jame mention here in Acts 12:17 is not the brother of JOHN, meaning the brother of Joses, meaning the brother of JESUS.

Matthew 13:55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?"
BINGO.
