Perhaps if it wasn't compulsory here, there might be quite a difference in election results.

Compulsory laws, tend to infringe on the Principles of Liberty. BE it Voting or other Enacted Laws.
Obama succeeded in enacting Compulsary Health Insurance. Many ignored him.
It's political back-door undermining the Constitution.

@Taken ,thanks for explaining. I do see how claiming a win is about confidence, but it’s more the issue of declaring a fraud at that time that raises a red flag to me.
As I said before, if Trump gets the votes he needs will he still declare a fraud, if he doesn’t then it’s going to look kind of stupid ! ( only fraudulent if it doesn’t go his way )

You are an outsider looking in, with an Opinion of HOW Things look to you.

Already explained to you....
Americans do not mimic others traditions and cultures...we have our own.

Already explained to you...
WHO announces the Results of a Presidental Race.

People may Think counting votes and results are official shortly after the polls close...

But Every polling place within every state must send their results to the State Governor.
The Governors must verify those results.
The Governor must by registered mail submit their results to DC...another verification...Electors must vote...verified again...submission to the sitting VP, VP makes Official Announcment in Senate Chamber.

People will oooh and aaah, long before the Official Announcement, by the Medias Unofficial Announcement...

So? Is the Media going to feel Stupid?

Doubt it...Why Not?
Because, no different than Trump they relied on best guessing of numbers at the time they make an unofficial declaration.

Everyone makes predictions and declarations,

If you predict and declare you are going swimming tomorrow and then don't FOR any reason...do you then feel stupid?

That's silly.

I wouldn't call Arizona when the State's Governor is saying that it ain't over yet.

Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina are still all too close to call when there's a margin of ten thousand votes separating the winner.

Voting has become so convoluted in the US.
ID, no ID, In person, Mail in/by Proxi, Electronics (that never glitch- ha!) - chain of Evidence (the Ballots) shuffled around by multiple handling/transporting (US mail carriers, individuals vehicles,), aliens Voting, illegal, refugees, dead people, tampering-
blah, blah, blah...

The more Convoluted the more opportunity and Suspect For Fraud.

Some Politico's Advocate, Endorse and Perpetuate Convoluting... The Who and Why is not a big secret.

Glory to God,

U.S. politics are nasty. Democrats would do the same thing.

I wouldn't call Arizona when the State's Governor is saying that it ain't over yet.

US National News stations get their stat updates from the AP (Associaled Press) "analysis".

Sort of like a Central Numbers crunching Organization, on best guesswork. Some states were called, at voting closing, before counting, typically called on past trends.

Arizona guesswork trended more on numbers of The huge influx of Latinos from California, rather than on votes cast.

It's all guesswork

States not wanting to require an ID is a red flag to me. That is crazy.even Amish hold a non picture ID. Only ones who wouldn't are illegal immigrants

We will probably know in a couple of days for sure.
The lawyers ARE getting their briefs in order for a SCOTUS hearing.

What's in play here is that each state has different laws about how to handle the votes for elections.
The "rust belt" states were once very Democrat but have switched to Republicans...the Government of these states is Democrat. So...they really want to not follow the laws and include votes that are highly questionable. (No name, obvious ballot box stuffing)
Many times in previous elections there have been more people voting than there were people living in some of these counties.

And this is the reason why the legal challenging. It's too close of an election to allow for a few thousand fraudulent votes to squeek by.

Illinois hasn't had a clean election in my lifetime. I seriously doubt that this one was either. But the equipment is so old that eventually it's going to break someday. But the dead are raised and vote every election.

New Mexico has a unique electronic key issued to each voter as identification. The voting machines won't work without them.

No challenges there anymore....they once had more votes from our Southern Neighbor (Mexico) voting than citizens of New Mexico.

Trump is a snake in the grass. He's deceptive and backstabbing. I wouldn't be surprised if he sold out his own children and his wife to save his own neck. He's a pathological liar and I wouldn't trust him to tell me the color of the sky outside. I certainly wouldn't trust him to be left alone with him. He's a dirty old man who bragged about getting away with sexually groping women. He bragged about watching half-dressed and naked young women and girls getting undressed backstage of beauty pageants. He's the polar opposite of what it means to be a Christian. He doesn't represent me or my faith. I'm ashamed that he represents our country as its President. I'm ashamed he's even associated with Christianity.

Calm down...
God sets up leaders or deposes them.

This isn't worth getting so worked up over.

God hasn't died or even called in sick. He is still in control. If God wants a particular person at the helm it must be for a reason. I know voting seems to counter that...but it's true.
