Judging by Daniel and by his contemporary, Jeremiah, and others, it's some kind of image, or associated with an image, and it's betrayed during a time, or more probably, during times, of great rebellion. I think that I have discernment to say it began at Babel, and most recently it has evolved from forms of electronic modulation, to most conspicuously, the television in every church; "on a wing of the temple." But I'm just a tongue.

no its not some kind of imagery though the image you refer to speaks. abomination that causes desolation is an event. and babel, huh? its been human nature to group together since man, that has nothing to do with anything. the bible is about God's relationship with man, not man's relationship with man.

but as far a allowing everyone in the world to see the same event as it happens I do believe there are statements to the effect that all will see His coming in great glory. hence media via even a cell phone.

Too many blatantly arrogant people here.

... That's why God is mysterious he don't even trust his prophets and servants. ...

Two things:

1. If GOD doesn't want us to know what's going on (Prophetically), then why did HE waste SO MUCH PAPER AND INK trying to TELL US?

2. John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

... but not all "sheep" know and hear the Master's voice, -- only those that seek HIM! :)

The way I see it is in 2 Thessalonians when Paul is speaking of a man of sin standing in the temple. He isn’t referring to a literal brick and mortar temple.
There are many allusions that should be drawn and the vision is intended, whether received from Daniel ("the vision of his head troubled him"); John ("let the reader understand"), or otherwise to spur every reader on to do 1 Cor 14:1 for example, and "to dream dreams and visions." Idle people waste other peoples' attention, with no intention to follow suit with said prophets.

Paul discloses in his other epistles what the temple is, as also Christ did.
2 Thes was written before 1 John, where the author writes, "You have heard that antichrist was coming; even now many antichrist have come."

We are to profess Christ, the bulk of what is professed here is Antichrist.
Or in other words self.

Have you even read Daniel carefully?

Daniel 8--13Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

The period of days is indicated as the days Daniel would have to struggle with the vision itself, which was "appalling" to him, and drained him of energy. "How long shall be The VISION..." not how long The events or The fulfillment. You're very reckless. The events in the vision are an indefinite period of time.

Well, I agree that we may have a "diverse" population of individuals in this Forum, -- some of which could use a mirror.

Bobby Jo
Well some have to be "arrogant" especially if they need a mirror and is diverse. What does diversity have to do with the kingdom of God perse. Since when does God reject any human because of race or appearance? That's really bias and stupid. The bible says we are all one in Christ. We are human beings. Not robots perfectly made up.

@Waiting on him John's First Epistle talks about antichrists (plural); it also gives contrasting, wholesome guidance about Divine character which may be instead followed.

Antichrist comes accusing. The epistle you speak of makes clear that antichrist denies the Father and the Son. If I seem hostile it's because you came here hostile. At the very least you came as a challenger without bases for what you were saying.

You're right about what the writer says concerning contrast. That's the only thing I've seen you say with a basis. And I'll even grant that it's a very good point.

God doesn't trust anyone that's why he hire some people and not others and remove some of his prophets and not others.
