The same reason I ask you why someone would terrorise, reject, persecute and abuse a "sheep" (the holy place).

    He is to be resisted:

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4.7)

    He is the adversary:

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5.8).

    The Farmer and The Snake
One winter a Farmer found a Snake stiff and frozen with cold. He had compassion on it, and taking it up, placed it in his bosom. The Snake was quickly revived by the warmth, and resuming its natural instincts, bit its benefactor, inflicting on him a mortal wound. “Oh,” cried the Farmer with his last breath, “I am rightly served for pitying a scoundrel.”

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

“that all will see His coming in great glory. hence media via even a cell phone.” Haven’t followed the conversation closely so I’m not sure if this is what another proposed, or do you think this is possible? Only an opinion but I have these questions:

    1) how can a cell phone or some technology capture all His glory? What is His glory?

    2) He said He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh. Then do we speculate how can He pour out His Spirit on all flesh at the same time ...and try to form logical ways for His Spirit to be poured out on all flesh, or for every eye to see His Glory coming?

    3) all the verses even “A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.”

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Luke 13:34-35 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! [35] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

    4) what prevents ... “seeing” if not the veil which remains (cast) until this day and until the veil is taken away (removed) one is blind and can not see. So better than cameras or cell phones is maybe Isaiah 25:7-8 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. [8] He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

again ‘every eye shall see Him coming with great power and glory’ ...what do cameras or cell phones have to do with ‘seeing’ or is it the vail remaining not removed from hearts that, when taken away the blind receive sight? Which He said I will destroy the vail covering all nations...then death will be swallowed up in victory.

    5) cell phone or cameras : or awake from a deep slumber.

really? just how do you propose those on the other side of the earth are going to see the same event? if all see the same event via media, how is that not a posable scenario? man is capable of that today where everyone within reach of news media devices tv computer or cell phone can see the same event at the same time.

Every eye shall see ...how then even those who pierced him? Would this not take more then cell phones and media devices. Seems more of a challenge than: how then can those on the other side of the world see the same event.

You posted the original question "does anyone have solid scripture and or history, that defines what abomination that maketh desolate actually is? " and are you really, truly, sincerely interested in finding the answer ? Are you like the Jewish audience that Jesus gave several illustrations concerning God's Kingdom to at Matthew 13 that revealed various aspects of this heavenly government, but which most felt that they were just "good stories", unwilling to dig deep to find out what they really meant, in contrast with Jesus genuine disciples who asked detailed questions to grasp what he was teaching them with the illustrations ?(Matt 13:24-30, 36-43; see also Matt 24:1-3)

The abomination of desolation will be a statue image of the beast, placed on the temple mount grounds.

Historically, Antiochus placed a statue image of Zeus in the temple, which prefigured what the end times abomination of desolation will be, in similitude. The scripture for that historic (to us) abomination of desolation is in Daniel 11:31.

The end times abomination of desolation is in Daniel 12:11-12.

    _______________________________________________________________

I might also note that the transgression of desolation (from Daniel 8:12-13) will be a act. Of the Antichrist going into the temple sitting, claiming to have achieved God-hood of 2Thessalonians2:3-4.

one should note "maketh" desolate is what Daniel says.

Dan_11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Dan_12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

fyi, Titus after subduing the defenders of the temple and temple grounds he sacrificed pigs at the temple which most certainly qualifies as a abomination and the same event desolated not only the temple but the city of Jerusalem itself. didn't Jesus say here shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down? that qualifies the abomination that maketh desolate of which Jesus was referring to.

Matthew 24:15-16 takes place after the gospel has be spread through the whole world unto all the nations as a witness. We ourselves are witnesses to all of the nation of the world.

The abomination of desolation in Daniel 12 is time of the end.

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

The study and understanding of eschatology begins with Ezekiel 39 to provide an infallible framework, which everything must fit.

Here is a timeline chart I made with that framework as the basis.
