Your math is wrong.
the only begotten of the Father refers to the son of God
the only begotten Son also refers to the Son of God.
No place in that scripture does it say or imply that Jesus was the only begotten son of man.
This has passed the point of outright silliness. <_< Jesus is the "
only begotten son.' Please note it is not specified in the following whether that was "
Son of God" or Son of Man. It is just "
the only begottens Son. So, even though in one verse it is specified that He was the "
Son of God," that in no way negates the fact that the "
only begotten Son," also means.....SON OF MAN.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Then only way Jesus was ever the Son of man is because He was born of a woman and His physical body was the body of a man. His flesh was always God because the word "flesh" is referring to the WORD not to the physical body.
Jesus flesh was always spiritual flesh not carnal flesh.
The false Christ is already in the world pretending to be the saviour of those who follow him. Are you saying the false christ will come again as lighting?
There are many antichrists at work...led by him. At the sixth trump he arrives pretending to be our Savior. Many will believe him.
I agree that those who are in the Real Christ are His cloud of witnesses.
Those who are in the false christ are also his cloud of witnesses.
The same principle applies to both the false and the Real Christ and their witnesses.
Please read my study on
the lightning and let me know what you think of that.
Gods timing always WAS and IS and IS TO COME for all eternity so I am not mistaken at all since I can see and hear all things from His point of view in the realm where time is no more.
I don't think you are there yet...nor am I.
1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Eternity is EVER PRESENT. The kingdom of God is within you at all times past present and future. There is no time in eternity. Time is irrelevant in the realm where the beginning and the end are the same.
Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
You will understand that once you are in Him where He is in His realm of eternity.
Thank you for placing me outside God's kingdom. :) However, you should understand that the above quote is FUTURE. It is after the seventh trumpet. Then...time no longer, not before.
All His enemies are already His footstool. Isaiah 66:1, Matt 5:35, Acts 7:49, The earth is His footstool.
Those who are still fighting the battle are only fighting a battle in their own hearts and minds.
Those who have overcome the battle of the carnal mind vs the spiritual mind of Christ within have the perfect peace of God within them and nothing can hurt or offend them since they are dead to the carnal mind but alive to the Spirit of God who has overcome sin and the devil for all eternity.
The
earth is His footstool. Are His
enemies yet His footstool? If yes....I sure see a lot of them that escaped. Sorry, Skyangel but
"my carnal mind," isn't what I see going on in this world today.
You both obviously think Jesus did not feel forsaken but if He did not feel forsaken, He would have had no reason to be quoting any scripture which asks God why He had forsaken him. If you do not feel forsaken by anyone, would you ask them why they had forsaken you ? Of course not. That would be sheer stupidity would it not?
Jesus felt forsaken as did David when he wrote the scripture in psalms which was prophetic of Jesus feelings on the cross but I am sure David did not know that it was prophetic at the time He wrote it. David was feeling the same as Jesus felt but I know you will not fully understand that till the day you also experience it.
The answer to the question about why Jesus felt forsaken is because the Father will always forsake sin and Jesus was made sin on the cross. That is why He felt forsaken and even felt rejected by the Father.
He was NOT rejected. He was NOT forsaken. He IS God. God cannot forsake Himself. Understand that Christ NEVER referred to the Lord as
"God" before His crucifixion. So, when He said, "
My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken Me," we should understand something is being taught...and it was.
The Father wants us to forsake sin in the same way He forsakes sin instead of holding on to it so grace may abound.
Gosh, Skyangel, are you sure. Do you really, really, think He wants us to forsake sin? Who knew? .
2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Jesus became all that is evil on the cross, in order to kill all that is evil. He overcame death through death. God cannot look on evil so Jesus felt forsaken by the Father who will always turn his back on evil and evildoers.
Habakkuk 1:13 [Thou art] of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, [and] holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth [the man that is] more righteous than he?
The Father cannot and does not look at sin. He turns His back on sin and sinners and forsakes sin and sinners. That is why Jesus makes intercession for us. Rom 8: 26-27, Heb 7:25
It is because we cannot pray for ourselves as sinners. God does not listen to sinners. Psalm 66:18, Proverbs 15:29 Proverbs 28:9
So, He really does want us to stop being sinners?
May the Lord open your eyes and ears to the Truth and give you understanding.
Don't be among those who hear the words " I never knew you " when it is too late to do something about it. (Matt 7:23.)
Prov 16: 6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD [men] depart from evil.
2 Tim 2: 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Your humility overwhelms me. Please absorb the following and....may the Lord open your eyes to the words.
1 Corinthians 13:1-13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
