I’m beginning to think that “ willful ignorance” is as terrible as “ willful Sinning”...
What a tragedy to see how the entire Bible can be twisted by an on- going , willful misunderstanding of one simple and easy to understand Bible verse.....
Nine chapters precede Hebrews 10. The entire discussion in these previous chapters is about the Sin Of Unbelief ...nothing else of importance except that.Hebrews 10, when it refers to “ Willful Sinning” continues the discussion of hearing the Gospel , Rejecting the Gospel and returning to the Temple, still putting trust in animal sacrifices instead of putting Total Trust in the Blood Jesus....
I’ve pretty much had it with the Stiff-Necked religionists out there.....Newbies have seen both sides of the debate now......I pray that you take this matter to Jesus and pray to Him that your eyes be-opened as you become “ an approved worker who need not be ashamed...one who correctly divides the Word Of Truth...”

Defining words should not be considered obnoxious. Defining the gospel is no different than defining God, Christ, Faith, Justification, Sanctification, Salvation , Sin, heaven, hell etc........

I asked a simple question and the poster keeps running away from defining it yet keeps quoting me so obviously he/ she wants to engage or discuss the gospel yet refuses to define the gospel. So if he continues to quote me on this topic I will continue to ask for a definition.

As Paul said the law was a schoolmaster till faith came. NOw that we are under faith we no longer need a schoolmaster!

That's right. We no longer need, for example, the literal Mosaic Feast of Unleavened Bread to point us toward the reality that gets accomplished in us through the New Way of Christ and faith in him.

Paul also said the laws in stone minister death not life!~ Don't think I want to be under something that kills instead of making me alive.

In this New Covenant the law is written on your heart, so that you can keep what's left for us to literally keep (summarized in 'love your neighbor as yourself'). It doesn't kill you because you are able to keep it now, and, when you fail to keep it through weakness or ignorance, the blood of Christ cleanses you from that sin guilt. The law engraved on tablets of stone only kills unbelievers, not believers. They are the ones who do not have the Holy Spirit writing the law on their hearts, nor do they have the blood of Christ applied to them to forgive transgressions of God's commands.

If God has changed your wants, why are you purposely and willfully sinning where there is no battle with sin for you to struggle in? If you belly up to the bar and get drunk just because you want and there's no inner battle of 'should I, or shouldn't I?' then you are willfully sinning and denying Christ. You are rejecting the grace of God in deliberate unbelief. If you die in that state and don't repent you will go to hell, not into the kingdom of God.

I understand Christianity better than you. All you have to do is read the Bible to see yours is a counterfeit grace while mine is the real thing. But I know I can't make you see the error of your ways. Only God can. You think grace was given so you can languish in your sin ON PURPOSE if you want and be free from the eternal condemnation of that sin. But the Bible says grace was given to us to be free of our sins. And that being free of your sin is the SIGN that you are born again, while purposely remaining in your sinful lifestyle is the SIGN that you are a child of the devil. That's what the Bible says. But you say that's not true.

1 John 3:
he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.

See, Protestant Christians instantly see 'taking away our sins' as the legal pardon we have received in Christ, not what we actually do. But you can see that John is talking about Christ taking away the sins we do. And that the person who lives in him is the one that has their sinful life taken away. That's the sign that you are born again. But you say that is not true and that you can purposely sin and not have your actual sinful life taken away and you are in him nonetheless. That's just not what the Bible says, friend. You're entertaining a false, counterfeit grace taught to you by false, counterfeit teachers. You're in a very dangerous place. Repent of this false gospel while you still can. And stop leading others astray with it. Especially, young people caught in the clutches of our sexualized, substance abusing culture. Your gospel isn't going to set them free from that. It's going to give them false comfort that they can stay in it and still be saved when Jesus comes back.

Here is your “ False Gospel”........when you hear ANYBODY say , “ Jesus Saves— B U T” you can rest assured everything on the other side of that “ BUT” is a False, Perverted addition to Paul’s Gospel Found In 1Cor15:1-4. A Gospel Of Grace Plus NOTHING.....for Salvation.
When somebody says,( and it can be a Protestant or a Catholic ) That “ Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus” should REALLY go “ Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus Plus obeying the Commandments, Plus Repenting From all know Sins, etc. , etc.......you can KNOW you are indulging a False Gospel.
There are many things that are Good- many things that we SHOULD do as part of our “ Reasonable Service” AFTER we are Saved......they are NOT the Gospel.....
The Gospel is not a THING “ to do” .....it is a PROMISE to be “BELIEVED”......If you Believe it to the point of RESTING in it ( one and the same, actually) , God will put His Spirit in you and you will FIND YOURSELF doing the things that please God.....if you are foolish and/or weak, God will chastise you like any loving parent would to get you back on track....you may not like that and you may not understand that, but God chastises His Children for their OWN good.....
So you got your False Gospels Of “ do do this and dint do that”, and you also have the proper Gospel that one MUST TRUST to be Saved , but most people PROVE that they don’t Trust it because they have to ADD to it.....Paul said those that ADD to it with ANYTHING are “ Fallen From Grace” (Gal 5 )
90% of the Protestant Church members are in that state and 100% of all of those that adhere to Catholic Doctrine.They are completely oblivious to that Truth.Some very gifted Bible Teachers maintain that “ falling from Grace” is tantamount to Damnation.....others , like myself, disagree with that . Who knows for sure? A wise person would not gamble with their Eternal Salvation being on the line....Be ASSURED of your Salvation! Do you believe that there are multiple gospels in the New Testament?

You seem to imply this by isolating 1 Corinthians 15 as “the gospel God will ask us about.”

I don’t care if there are 50 “ gospels” in the Bible .... I know there are at least 4 times that Paul referred to 1cor 15:1-4 as “ HIS” Gospel ....Paul said it was the One that Saves us if Simply Believed and He also said that “ HIS” Gospel will be used by God to judge Mankind on Judgement Day.....
Paul probably said “ His” Gospel to differentiate it from among others....probably the False ones that existed then and still exist today. Like this one—- “ Jesus Saves.... BUT!” It should ring a bell here...

Nothing has changed.....as John the Baptizer proclaimed....Jesus came here to die for the SINS of the World .....All the Work for Salvation was FINISHED at the Cross........some will “ cash in” on what Jesus ALREADY did for them by simply Believing that Jesus died for their Sins and that He rose from the Grave ( from the Gospel That Saves, 1cor15:1-4 ) Others will refuse to believe the Gospel and will prove their “ UNBELIEF” by Adding to Paul’s Gospel...
The BIG ADDITION to the simple Gospel Of Grace in Paul’s day was Circumcision——- the Big , False Additions these days are, “ The Gospel Saves , But once you know “ that” , ya gotta Repent Of all of your known sins or at least be “ willing” to do that in order to actually be Saved and STAY Saved ...
The other BIG ADDITION to the Gospel Of Grace says, “ Sure, Jesus Saves, But after you know that you must keep all of the Commandments!”
