Hi, I have some pretty Christmas paintings that I backed up. I use them for wallpaper.

My tablet is a Google android device. So when I back up photos, do they go to the Cloud? Does this mean if I ever change my Google tablet to another Google tablet that I will be able to retrieve the photos....and put them on my new device?

Thanks for any help.

Not sure, @Debp , but designs on Christmas cards can be a good resource for making things...

(Happy new year, btw... :) )

Happy new year to you, too.

I do hope someone can answer my question. Here is an example of one of the photos that I use for wallpaper.

@Debp Do you have a scanner on your printer? (Some printers, do...)

BTW, the cardinal is my wife's favorite bird! :)

I don't have a printer or scanner. When I say wallpaper, I mean I use the pictures on my tablet screen.

I am wondering when I back up the pictures....where do they back up to? Once backed up, will they transfer to a new device if this tablet breaks, etc? Any tech savvy members out there?

If I were in doubt I would email them to myself.

You need to back up photos to multiple external hard drives in your home not just to the cloud that offers you nothing guaranteed. Read the fine print

Thanks for replying.

I don't have any external hard drives. Just a simple Android tablet.

I guess if I ever change tablets, I will just have to search for the photos again at that website.

But my tablet has a back up option for each photo....so I just wondered where the photos back up to. And how you access them if you back them up.

A backup hard drive can be as simple as a USB thumb drive. If your photos matter, get one now, if the photos are not so important then you can use the cloud. For example your kids baby photos need to be off the cloud in multiple places. Do not trust what you do not know

Thanks for answering. The photos are just pretty wallpapers I find on the internet....not personal photos.

So to get backed up to the Cloud, do I just click the back up option located on each photo? I'm now just trying to learn more about it.
