You simply do not understand .....let's try it one more time———-
If you are experiencing “ victory” over sin.....how could that not be i great thing? It is .
Here’s where one can run into trouble.....if you think that “ victory” saved you or Kept you Saved.....THAT is where you “ add” to the Gospel Of Grace Plus Nothing
Had you experienced NO VICTORY , it would have Nothing to Do with your Salvation— “THAT”was accomplished by Total Faith in the Finished Work Of The Cross Plus Nothing.....
Trusting the Blood is Salvation....Living a Life more pleasing to God is a “RESULT” of that Salvation.....Your progress is a part of your SANCTIFICATION ,which is Christ in you , Transforming you into the Image Of His Son.....
Rejoice in your “ victory”—— just don’t cross the line saying that it Saved you or kept you Saved and others MUST do what you did in order to be Saved....it’s “ Nothing But The Blood” For Salvation ....If you go beyond that, you are preaching a False , Perverted Gospel ....you are a Legalist who “ Falls From Grace”.....
In Romans 4:5, we find that our God justifies the ungodly person...
That means that He declares them righteous....He gives them a new, unshakable identity in Christ that they are righteous. We retain that identity even when we blow it.
If you have that identity, go and live like it (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6).
In Romans 4:20-22, we find that Abraham was justified through the fact that He did not waver in unbelief as concerning the promises of the Lord; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God...
We also will be justified if we believe that what He has promised, He is able also to perform.
Now, He has promised us certain things in such passages as,
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (kjv), Hebrews 10:14 (kjv), 1 John 3:9;
1 John 3:7, 1 John 3:3, 1 John 2:6;
Jude 1:24, 2 Peter 1:10, 1 John 2:10;
1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17;
Romans 6:6 (kjv), Colossians 2:11 (kjv).
If we do not believe in these promises we will not be justified in the long run.
If we believe in them, then we will obtain them in due season (Hebrews 11:33, 2 Peter 1:3-4, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Romans 4:20-22) and will have what has been promised.
Therefore, if a man never obtains what is promised, is he therefore justified? I think that he is not justified.
The blood of Jesus Christ does not only justify (as per Romans 5:9)...it also sanctifies (Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 10:29) and cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7)...
It is not possible that it should be applied and not perform all of its functions.
