Unfortunately on this forum we seeing too much of that denial of which you speak in people... some of whom may have actually met the Master. They met Him, but then too they learned too quickly to quench the Spirit of God and go along their own pathway or that of people who are supposed to be ministering to them, teaching them to stand firmly on the Rock as they follow the lead of the Spirit.
God certainly gave us ministers, but ministers too often have lost track of or never had their own purpose clearly established as they proceed, supposedly to do God's work:
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:" Eph 4:11-15
The ministers are supposed to be working themselves out of a job... too many work rather to support themselves in their own carnal pursuits.
