Which one of us is "You're odious"...and which one of us is "soon touchy"?
Clearly Jesus the man does not dwell in us, but His love does. (From the posts above, I'm not sure. )I was going to say this in a different thread, so I'm glad you brought that up.
We know that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh; that is, in a finite human body (1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7).
Yet, in Ephesians 4:10 we find the knowledge that Jesus Himself is Omnipresent.
How is He Omnipresent if He dwells in a finite human body?
He is Omnipresent in that His Spirit permeates the Universe.
Who is His Spirit but the Holy Ghost?
Therefore, Jesus Himself is Omnipresent in the Person of the Holy Ghost.
Also, in Colossians 1:27 we find that Christ dwells within the believer.
How does He do that? For He is come in the flesh in the Person of the Son.
I would say that He dwells in the believer in the Person of the Holy Ghost.
No, Paul was not mocking the Circumcision group in Galatians 5:12. So don't use that as an excuse to abuse others who don't agree with your teaching. Paul is making reference to the law. Do you know which law?Nothing wrong with Mocking, when it is called for......Paul mocked those that demanded Circumcism as the way to be Saved .He used derision as he suggested why not just go out and “ cut off the whole thing!”..... there are other, even more graphic examples in Scripture .....
“ perverted” Gospels “ should” be mocked.....God Hates them....
No man can serve two masters and Jesus said that to those who practised the law.Can you think of even just one example in the NT where the law is good, being used properly, where it is not a source of condemnation and the attempt to save yourself by your works (which seems to be the only way you can understand it)?
The Law is not just “ good” .....it is “ GREAT”.........
Think of all the rest of the World that never had the Law...They had no guidance....no instructions for living their lives with wisdom...
Life is complicated ........God gave the Jews an “ instruction manual” that has also been handed to the rest of the world to help us get through this life successfully......
Only a Fool would disregard an Instruction manual. The Old Testament and the Law are Supreme when it comes to guidance in this lifetime......This “Guide” ultimately was intended to lead people to the Savior, Jesus Christ because it has to be kept perfectly to be an instrument for one’s Salvation—- and nobody but Jesus could ever do it.
People should obey the Laws Of God as best they can—— they will be blessed every time that they do and they will lose every time they don’t......use it your entire lifetime for those reasons and those reasons only....if it has lead you to Christ , it has performed its ultimate, intended purpose....
Once you have received Christ and His Grace to Save you, you have something better now to be your Instruction Manual.....it’s called the Holy Spirit.Once you are Born Again, with that Spirit Inside Of you, you will “ Find Yourself” Doing the things that please God .....
The Law could only concentrate on the “ outside of the cup”....... that is much better than nothing , but the Holy Spirit can “ TRANSFORM” the “ INSIDE of the cup”, and that is what counts with God .
To simplify all of this, simply REST in the Gospel Of 1 Cor 15:1-4 , that will get the Holy Spirit in you and Save you, you can then trade In trying to obey an impossible system of Laws with the New, Inward Man That will guide you better than the Law could ever DREAM of doing.....the “ qualifier “ fir all of this Good Stuff?...... You have to TRUST God to do the work and not yourself.....You put your Eternal Soul into the Hands Of Jesus and Him only—- THAT is Saving Faith......
Can you list some? We'll talk about them.you can follow the laws of Jesus which are stricter than the OT laws
The death penalty for the sins that required death was fulfilled by Jesus. Just as the sacrifice required for sins not requiring the death penalty was fulfilled by Jesus. That's why those laws have been laid aside. We are to keep the laws that remain when you lay aside the laws that find their satisfactory fulfillment in the work of Christ and which don't have to be literally kept by us personally.if you cut out everything that is against the law of the land in America, like stoning women caught in adultery then I think you would be following Jesus all the time and not be getting into trouble with the authorities.
The death penalty was for not keeping the ten commands, the minister od death written on stoneThe death penalty for the sins that required death was fulfilled by Jesus. Yes, it is still valid for unbelievers. They are still under the law and the law does not make provision for that grace. The death penalty was for not keeping the ten commands, the minister od death written on stone
That is still valid, for those who reject grace
"Love the Lord your God" (Deuteronomy 6:5), and "love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18) and all the commandments that represent the keeping of those commands as they relate to each other (to love God is to love others, to love others is to love God).what other part of the law is valid?
Can you list some? We'll talk about them.
Yes but even the unbeliever can not keep the law it’s why they need ChristYes, it is still valid for unbelievers. They are still under the law and the law does not make provision for that grace.
The law must be fulfilled. So Christ became the fulfillment of the law requiring death. He did not destroy the law requiring death. He fulfilled it. For that is exactly what he said he came to do—fulfill the law, not destroy it and cast it away.
In the law of Moses, your neighbor is your fellow Jew"Love the Lord your God" (Deuteronomy 6:5), and "love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18) and all the commandments that represent the keeping of those commands as they relate to each other (to love God is to love others, to love others is to love God).
These are not the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but the gift of apostleship, the gift of prophesy, evangelism, pastorship and teaching.
Can you think of even just one example in the NT where the law is good, being used properly, where it is not a source of condemnation and the attempt to save yourself by your works (which seems to be the only way you can understand it)?

Unfortunately, your gospel has nothing of holy scripture within its contents.
I am all for the idea of NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD...
In my view, the blood of Jesus does not only justify (as per Romans 5:9)...it also sanctifies (Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 10:29) and cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
All scripture is inspired of the Lord and is profitable for doctrine...(2 Timothy 3:16).
Which one of us is "You're odious"...and which one of us is "soon touchy"?
See Philippians 4:2.
I think that with all of your attacks on me, you are the former and I am the latter.
But let not the joking about it make you ignore the exhortation in that verse.
@Blood Bought 1953,
your last post to me was very condescending and insulting.
That kind of attitude is not something that I would identify as good fruit.
Mat 7:15, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16, Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17, Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18, A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19, Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20, Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
All scripture is inspired of the Lord and is profitable for doctrine...(2 Timothy 3:16).
Duh....
I am “ none of the above” .....Paul got it wrong . Who am I ? I am the TRUE “ Chief Of Sinners” .....Sorry , Paul.....time for you to step aside.....there’s a New Kid in town....
The only “ worse fruit” would be pushing a False Gospel Of “ Lucky Repentance” that spits on the Blood Of Jesus.....
Your statement to me is obviously, "you're odious" and in that, you have three fingers pointing back at you.I am “ none of the above” ...
