To keep it simple...the new covenant is not to the church, but to future national Israel that Jesus Christ will come back and save per Jer 31 and Zech 14 etc..
The New Covenant is in fact the New Testament; and it is indeed to the church.

The law of Christ more burdensome? Is that how you view the law of Christ? That would make Jesus to have not told the truth when He said His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
And apparently that was hard for you, without the addition “the only reason why His yoke is easy and His burden is light is because we have the Holy Spirit”.
Well, it only shows that we have a different take, as to what is the law of Christ. I take it and preach about it just as Jesus said, is easy and light, and on the other hand you take it and preach it to be burdensome, even more burdensome than the Law of Moses of the old covenant.
So, to you, which is easier to avoid? Going out with a woman that is not your wife and then going to bed with her? or, lusting after the same woman in your heart?
To me, the latter is more difficult to keep...and it is found in the law of Christ (Matthew chapters 5-7).
So what?
You still missed something that Ezekiel 33:15 is saying.

See 1 John 3:5-9 for my response to what you think I missed Ezekiel saying.
And I understand why that is the case with you, for you consider not that the law of Moses was completely changed and replaced by the law of Christ.
However, not one jot or one tittle passed away from the law when it changed (Matthew 5:17-20).
The change in law had to do with a transitioning in the manner of how one keeps it. At one time it was by the letter...by attempting to obey a set of do's and don'ts. Today, it is by the spirit...through bearing the fruit of the Spirit against which there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23).
See Romans 7:6.
You simply need to repent.
I did. I had a “mind change”, which is what Saving Repentance is.....I used to think that I was “ good enough” to make it to Heaven......the Holy Spirit convicted me of my True standing before God.....I was a Lost Sinner, deserving of an eternity in Hell.....that Conviction Of Sin lead me to Turn to God just as the Sinful Publican did—— I had come to the end of myself.....all I could do is cry out to God , “ Lord, have Mercy on me, a Sinner.....Everything else pretty much took care of itself once that life-changing event happened...
That is also how I came to know the Lord...and from there I began a walk of faith in which I desire to walk consistently not after the flesh but after the Spirit.
I sometimes try to figure out what is wrong with guys like you.....have you ever undergone the experience that I have?
Yep.
Have you ever experienced the true horror of what you are and what you deserve? Have YOU Repented ?
Yep.
I know that you don’t really Believe the Gospel , because you don't rest in it as Hebrews said to do...
What do you mean by resting in the gospel? Do you think that means resigning to the fact that we are all sinners and resolving that I am going to live a lifestyle of sinning because it doesn't matter anyway? because all my sins are "covered by the blood of Jesus"?
..God says that if you do not Rest in the Gospel , you are showing disobedience and UNBELIEF....serious stuff.
I think that it is disobedience and UNBELIEF to walk according to the flesh rather than the Spirit.
The only way to prove that you Rest in the Gospel is to give up your man- made Addition to Paul’s Gospel Of Grace Plus Nothing.......That “ Addition” that you don’t talk about too much these days is your False and Perverted addition of “ Lucky Repentance” .....it’s not found in Galatians or anywhere else...
Sure it is. Galatians 5:16-21.
The first part Of The Gospel is , “ Jesus Died for your Sins” .....that’s the part you don’t really Believe ....therein lies your problem ....of course, you will never admit it—- the sad part is that you are probably not even aware of it...
You think that because I seek to obey God's Spirit that I do not rely on the fact that He died for my sins when I blow it? You are sadly mistaken...
It’s like the millions of people that mindlessly sung, “ Nothing But The Blood” .....they have brainlessly mouthed it for so long that it means nothing to them —- they don’t even think about it. It’s no different from actually Believing the Gospel Of Grace......people have brainlessly mouthed “ Jesus died for my Sins” for so long , they never stop to realize that they don’t believe that at all.....Their TRUE Belief is “I Repented from all of my Sins”, and “ that’s” how I make it to Heaven.....That is their True Gospel and Satan Loves it......it really “ tickles the ears” of the Lemmings that are marching along the “Broad Path”......I hold out the hope that God will grant you Repentance —- “ TRUE” Repentance ....
I hope that He will grant you true repentance also...which is to make a 180-degree turn away from sin, death, hell, and satan towards righteousness, life, heaven, and God.
“Love God and live as you please.....”
Note to “ justbyfaith“ <fify>....... You have trouble understanding what I mean when I use the term “ uncommon man and women”
If you ever truly “ GET” this .....you will have become an “ uncommon” person...[/QUOTE]
I have gotten this particular thing all along.
It has to do with Psalms 37:4. Before we get born again we have hearts that are wicked and deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9). So the desires of our hearts are wicked and deceitful.
But something happens when God "sprinkles clean water on you" (Ezekiel 36:25-27)...He gives you a new heart and a new spirit and He causes you to walk in His statutes and in his judgments...because now you have a heart that is "honest and good" (Luke 8:15).
I would say however that the statement "Love God and live as you please" might be misleading to someone who has not had their heart transformed. Their heart is still deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; and while they may think that they love God because they have good feelings towards Him (probably because they think He is giving them a free pass to commit whatever sins they desire to commit), the desires of their heart are going to turn out to be deceitful above all things and desperately wicked...and the end result will very likely be what the sinner desires most in his deceitful heart above all...to be a sinner for the rest of his life and then to be punished for his sins in hell.
