In Hebrew culture any close relative can be called brother or sister, lot was called Abraham’s brother but was his nephew.

This is where your ignorance in the difference between Greek and Hebrew and th elanguages come in.

In Genesis Cain is called brother with the same word, but a different construct. And in Hebrew trhey had one word for actual brother and relationship brethren. context determined usage. Lot is most often called Abrahams brothers' son which gives us the knowledge.

Greek is diffrent and the context is Jesus immediate family.

When Jesus was twelve they went up to Jerusalem, the holy family, Joseph, Mary, and Jesus. Where are the brothers and sisters?

Jesus on the cross gives His mother to John, why? Why not James or a brother? Perhaps the law of Moses requires a mother to be given to the next oldest son? Because he was an only Son!

1. Jesus brothers and sisters had probably not yet believed yet, were not at the cross. By Jesus giving Mary to John, it strongly implioes by Jewish law that Joseph was dead, and Jesus as the eldest and first born had been responsible for Mary. Now dying He gave the care to onwe who was there!

2. The bible declares Jesus the only begotten of the Father, but no where hints as the only begotten of Mary! The RCC after it became corrupted by pagan influence adapted that pagan doctrine to Marry when the bible does not!
