Jesus is the name given to the man who amongst other things has divided Earth's history.

This man crucified as a criminal also has many titles, like 'Prince of Peace', The Everlasting Father, The Alpha and Omega, Immanuel, King of Kings, Lamb of God and many more but did the angels know him as Jesus prior to his incarnation on Earth?

'The Angel of the LORD encamps around about those who fear him....' Psalm 34:7
It was the Angel of the LORD who followed Israel in the cloud. There are other references of this nature as well where Jesus is referenced as an Angel.

Could it be that prior to Jesus incarnation as a man; to the Angels he was known as Michael, as referenced in Daniel 10:21 and 12:1?....I would say, The Arch Angel?. Even in the above quote in Psalms, David's reference is an 'Angel'... in fact, the Angel of the LORD....all capitals. We know that when LORD is translated in Capitals it is the personal name of God.

The account of Sarai, Hagar and Ishmael in Genesis 16 is worth looking at regarding this.

Looking up the meaning of 'Michael' is also interesting.

By the way, 'name' means character.
'hallowed be thy name' ... 'has a name above every other name' .... 'on his thigh was written a name which only he himself knew'.

Another thought....the invisible God who Jesus said is a Spirit and only seen by the Son reveals himself through the Son.....to the angels as an angel.....to men as a man?
I think it is the J W's that believe Jesus is Michael the archangel.
Is Michael the Archangel Jesus?

True. Michael the Archangel has been specifically assigned to Israel to watch over the Jews.

But Michael, when contending with devil about the body of Moses said "The LORD rebuke thee". So there's your answer. Michael is ultimately accountable to the Lord, and the Lord sends Michael to do battle with the devil and his evil angels just before the reign of the Antichrist (Rev 12-13). Christ could wipe that whole gang out with one word. but He chooses to let Michael and his holy angels do battle.

The Catholics (and perhaps the Orthodox) have made Michael into Saint Michael. But angels and archangels cannot be designated as "saints". Only the redeemed of the Lord.
The Son defers to the Father....The Father is revealed in the Son....that's the order.

You might be stumbling over the definition of "angel". That word does not describe the attributes of a person...it is just a job description in the Bible...."messenger". We traditionally use the term too broadly...assuming it refers to a divinely created spiritual being. It's just a job description....one sent with a message. All divine beings in existence were created by God. Jesus was/is a messenger sent to humanity to reveal the Father and preach the Kkngdom. He was not created... He is the Creator. He created the "sons of God"....the supernatural beings who remain faithful to God. As well as the ones who have fallen. He Himself pre-exists them all...from eternity....He was not created.

Michael is not an angel at all. It is a faulty premise upon which to identify Him. He is the Captain of The LORD's host. At sea, "the Skipper (Captain) is 'God'." The name "Michael" means "one who is like God." Who is like God but Christ only? It is a study worth digging into. It is not settled in Hebrews 1. And it doesn't degrade the sovereignty of God in Christ one iota. Christ is King--Lord of all.

Says Kingdom Hall?
And it is not Kindom Hall doctrine.
Kingdom Hall doesn't believe Jesus is Michael?

The pre-incarnate Christ is the Father (Isaiah 9:6). He was incarnated as a Man (1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7). When He rose again and ascended into heaven, He became as the holy angels in His glorified physical body (Matthew 22:30). His name shall be called "The everlasting Father" (Isaiah 9:6). However, He is the chief cornerstone of the Elohim (Ephesians 2:20-22).

In Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

However, this is also true of the redeemed (Ephesians 3:19-20; Ephesians 4:6, Colossians 1:27, 2 Timothy 1:14).

The distinction between Him and us being that He was born of a virgin and was conceived of the Holy Ghost; whereas we become one with the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17) when He comes to dwell within us at the moment of first faith. It is then that we are "begotten again unto a lively hope" (1 Peter 1:3).

This cannot be true! Because if it is? This isn't!
Job 1:6
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

And wouldn't these be the fellows mentioned here?:
Hebrews 1:
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Ya see? There's a lot pertaining to the "governmental structure" of the Kingdom of God, that (not so) coincidentally Christ bares on His shoulders.

But Christ being the arch angel Michael at any time? Nah! :)
