From the didache teaching of the apostles from early church

Chapter 7. Concerning Baptism
And concerning baptism, baptize this way: Having first said all these things, baptize into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19 in living water. But if you have not living water, baptize into other water; and if you can not in cold, in warm. But if you have not either, pour out water thrice upon the head into the name of Father and Son and Holy Spirit. But before the baptism let the baptizer fast, and the baptized, and whatever others can; but you shall order the baptized to fast one or two days before.
Wikipedia says that the Didache was anonymous, and "may have been compiled in its present form as late as 150, although a date closer to the end of the first century seems more probable to many", so it was not written by the Apostles. "The work was considered by some Church Fathers to be a part of the New Testament, while being rejected by others as spurious or non-canonical. In the end, it was not accepted into the New Testament canon".

This is another example of men adding to the Word of God, and it should be ignored! There is certainly no Biblical evidence to suggest that anyone was told or required to fast for one or two days before being baptised! The opposite was the case (Acts 8:36-38, WEB):

36) As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?”
38) He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.

Note that verse 37 has been removed from this passage in many modern translations, because it was a later addition that is not in the older manuscripts - another example of an alteration! Verse 37 (KJV) says:

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

The Cambridge Bible notes says:

The whole of this verse is omitted in the oldest MSS. It probably found its way into the text of those MSS. where it does exist from the margin. Such a margin would be formulated by those who, when the Church had become more extended, and formal professions of faith were the rule before baptism, felt that there was a want of completeness in the narrative unless some such confession were supposed to have been made. Thus the margin became a kind of exposition, and in the end found acceptance in the text.

The trinity is clearly taught in scripture. To deny this is to remain in the realm of death.

If what you are saying is true, you'd be able to present the verse that says something like The nature of God is a trinity - consisting of Father, Son & HS - and if you do not believe this, you cannot be saved but are damned to hell forever.

It is such an important doctrine to the writers of the 66 books of the Bible, it is not mentioned ONCE.

Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God"
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God , and the Word was God.

God is 3 Persons who are Echad = United as One
John 1:1 mentions God and the Word, and that the Word was with God, so obviously (otherwise it makes no sense) the Word was not God! Either way, just two entities are mentioned, so you can't make a Trinity out of that.

Exodus 3:14-15 ... this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Exodus 3:15 (WEB) says:

God said moreover to Moses, “You shall tell the children of Israel this, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

To paraphrase that to make it slightly simpler, God tells Moses to say, 'Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has sent me to you. Yahweh is his name forever'. There is no hint of a Trinity there! All the "children of Israel" were decendants of Israel, or Jacob as he was called before God gave him the name of Israel. So by saying that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel had sent Moses, that was simply so they would understand who he was talking about, and then telling them that they should call God by the name Yahweh. Simple!

Elohim Abraham + Elohim Issac + Elohim Jacob = Echad Elohim
It will NEVER make any sense to those who do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them.

Outstanding analysis! Thanks. Once again we see the desires of men to go against the desire of God - even among men who profess to be men of God.

Elohim simply means heavenly beings. It is a plural word. The fact that God is among the heavenly beings does not mean that God is plural. The Bible says God is alone over and over again. (BTW, although Isaiah said this, he is not God. As a prophet of God, like Jesus, he is speaking for God). NOTE: The ubiquitous use of singular pronouns.

5 I am the Eternal One; there is no other God but Me,
and even though you don’t know Me, I am preparing you for victory.
6 I am doing all this so that people all around the world
may know that I alone am the Eternal, the only God.
7 I form light and create darkness;
I make what is good, happy, and healthy, and I create woe.
I, the Eternal One, make them one and all.

Isaiah 45:5-7 (The Voice)

You seem to be saying that the God of Abraham was a different god to the God of Isaac, and there was a third different God of Jacob. Your're right - that doesn't make any sense! Surely your equation should be:

Elohim Abraham = Elohim Issac = Elohim Jacob = Echad Elohim = Yahweh

There's no Trinity implied in Exodus 3:15.

The teaching is understood by Christians.
Scripture is written to reveal and conceal truth.
It is not given to everyone to understand.

That's interesting, the trinitarian who can't show the trinity doctrine from the Bible now claims Modalism and rejects Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God. (Matthew 16:16) ??

No more three separate persons heh?? But Jesus is Jehovah?

The Word trininty is a made up word to desribe the only trhree "persons" who are divine and make up the One God.

Yes Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God,(person) and yes Jesus is also God as it says in John 1:1 (nature) Whatr the Father is in nature, Jesus is in nature as well! many call it divine, many call it God-- Jesus is not God meaning He is His Father, but He is God meaning He is equally divine as His Father. Really why can't all of you get that? I have written that biblical truth myriads of times now!

Sorry Ronald but the Didache isn't the inspired word of God. I know you're going to put human tradition first not what's written down in scripture, that's your choice

I never said the didache is th einspired word of God. It just contains the historical writings of men and shows that the triune formula for baptism occured long before Romanism became the major sect.

BTW: The Watchtower, Awake and all the publications of the Watchtower are not the Inspired Word of God either. By the number of failked predictions, false doctrines and legalistic unbiblical rules it imposes on their followers, we know for sure god has not inspired those works.

Remain as you are

I will, no one has been able to show a Trinity doctrine in the scriptures.
John L. McKenzie, S.J. said in his Dictionary of the Bible: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of ‘person’ and ‘nature’ which are G[ree]k philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and ‘substance’ were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.”—(New York, 1965), p. 899.

A person who is really seeking to know the truth about God is not going to search the Bible hoping to find a text that he can construe as fitting what he already believes if he is someone who wants to know what God’s Word itself truly says. He may find some texts that he feels can be read in more than one way, but when these are compared with other Biblical statements on the same subject their meaning will become clear. It should be noted that most of the texts used as “proof” of the Trinity actually mention only two persons, not three.
A Trinitarian scholar named, Jesuit Edmund Fortman admits: “The Old Testament tells us nothing explicitly or by implication of a Triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is no evidence that any sacred writer even suspected the existence of a [Trinity] within the Godhead. Even to see in [the “Old Testament”] suggestions or foreshadowings or ‘veiled signs’ of the trinity of persons, is to go beyond the words and intent of the sacred writers."
