The only thing wrong with your conclusion is that Peter was not defending himself, but defending Christ! And Christ did not want anyone defending Him, since He would not even defend Himself. He was determined to go to the cross, as He had planned it all along. But actually Christ told His apostles to carry weapons to defend themselves in His absence.

The Second Amendment is a government document; it doesn’t have anything to do with religion. The Bible is a book that teaches believers how to live a good life, follow God, and achieve salvation in heaven; and it has nothing to do with how a secular, modern country should implement their constitutional laws.
Why are you using your interpretation of scripture to criticize gun ownership rights? I don’t agree with your opinion, but let’s assume you’re right: The Bible isn’t supposed to be an instruction manual for nations. If that were the case, school pupils wouldn’t be allowed to learn about evolution in biology class. Instead they would taught to think incorrectly: Because such and such person thinks this or that aspect of evolution is incredulous, therefore God (from the Bible) created humans and all life in earth though supernatural magic, or whatever. This is such a silly way of thinking given that a person from India can use the same line of logic, then go on to say that the Hindu Gods created the earth, life on earth, and the whole universe.
By the way, it’s very easy to get illegal drugs, illegal guns, or illegal anything on the dark web or black market in general. Banning guns won’t stop criminals from getting guns illegally, and only law-abiding citizens will follow the rules. Ditching the Second Amendment basically enables psychopathic criminals who want to hurt others and leaves good people vulnerable. That doesn’t sound very Christian to me.

It is i , who by grace that am prepared . FOr i know a solid truth . If a madman comes racing in , if even a army surrounded me

weapons of mass destruction , IF GOD has determined my time is not up , I SHALL LIVE THROUGH IT AND IF MY TIME IS UP I GO HOME .
MY TRUST IS IN GOD , not carnal weapons . NOR Do i live by my own intellectual reasoning , but rather live by every word of GOD .
Sure i own a few guns . FOR HUNTING FOOD only . Not for any man who comes against me .
PREACH JESUS to even those who hate us . Stephen himself when surrounded by jews who were ready to stone him

That is great, to look and seek and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and have him close to your heart, and worship God in spirit and truth.
However, imagine in America - there was no Government, there was no Police Department, no Army to help defend our nation or help other nations.
God has set all these departments up, for a reason.
People who end up killing people with guns just for the hell of it, the truth is all of us are capable of causing violence wouldn't you agree? Sometimes if I become frustrated, dark thoughts can start coming into my heart, and mind... Do you ever have the same thing happen, or have had the same thing happen to you?

Folks forget something . While all the tribes of israel were allowed to go to war and denfend .
THE PRIEST < however was not allowed to shed the blood of man , but rather he was to keep and point to GOD .
Now for a word . YE ARE PRIESTS unto GOD . We are now priests . WE NO LONGER shed the blood of man
but rather we point to every WORD OF JESUS who came to show us the WAY as HE SURELY IS THE WAY .
And not only that , but we no longer judge according to the letter of the law . Sure we warn folks to repent of sin
and wont keep company with brethren who sin and wont repent . BUT WE no longer even put to death those who sin .
Folks forget what the new covenant is all about . As for the liberal govts , THEY DONT CARE about those dead children
they only care about removing firearms for they fear the people . NOW i am dead set against uprising against the govt
or taking up any carnal weapons against even those who hate me most . BUT I KNOW THE LIBERAL AGENDA and ITS OF SATAN .
THEY butcher babies , YET CRY we gotta ban guns to save kids . THEY Support gay marriage yet holler we know GOD .

The point I am trying to make is our own thoughts, and lust which come into our heart and minds, can be fuel to cause destruction... - Our own mind and heart is a weapon.

I would not kill anyone to protect myself or any . At the very least i would run at the one who had the weapon and give the others
a chance to run for safety . But i refuse to take any mans life . SO how does that make me dangerous .
