It isn't wise to decide we are going to Heaven. Some will, but they will be few and will have followed righteousness to its highest degree and, often, these ones will have followed Jesus to his death and resurrection...They are those who "cleansed themselves in the blood of the lamb". And Almighty God will select them, though, in truth, by their obedience to righteousness, they have selected themselves. Our best hope is as a member of a 'new world order'...here on planet Earth. This too requires a high degree of righteousness because all of Jesus Christ's fruits are captured within his teaching. It should be obvious to all Christians, by now, that if everyone followed righteousness this world would be a much better place and we have all been given a time to acclimatize ourselves to the righteous laws required of us,.and which will render those fruits promised by Jesus.

No time should be spared in bringing alive Jesus Christ's accurate teaching because when this planet spins into global chaos...resurrection will be our only hope.

JW?

In the JW system you never get real freedom in salvation because even when all the clean up is finished after Michael the Archangel destroys the Earth; we have to repopulate it; then, we can still be annihilation at anytime if the 144,000 decide we have been disobedient.

Seriously, I will take my annihilation sooner rather than later, thanks.

I know there is a strong resemblance to JW teaching but they don't acknowledge our spirit as being the everlasting force that offers us all of Jesus Christ's promises...but what I state here is accurate Biblical teaching and accuracy is vital in learning about everlasting life. There is no other way to claim it.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

I highly recommend the book, "Heaven", by Randy Alcorn, who took every reference to heaven from all scripture and wrote a book on what heaven is like and what we can expect, according to the revelation God has given us. He completely weeded out all the myth and lore that culture has wrought and now considers normal and has come forth with an accurate picture of what God has revealed about it. It is an excellent book that actually has a large question and answer section.

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. - Isaiah 64:4 (KJV)

When we finally get to Heaven... what will we be doing there ?

We will be busy enjoying the presence of the Lord and His glory, and enjoying each other, and we will also be busy doing what He has given us to do. In the Millennial Kingdom, we will be the governing authorities, and after in the New Earth, we will continue doing whatever God has given us to do in the entire universe, as joint heirs with Christ.

As long as the presence of God is there with us, I don't think it would matter what were doing. I think we'll be so filled with overwhelming joy and peace that everything will be a cause for celebration.

Personally, I'd like to walk up to a lion without fear of it mauling me, lol.

But seriously, I think heaven really is beyond our comprehension. Any thoughts with our current minds, even using scripture, will do it a disservice.

I get that! However, I did read most of "Heaven" and I was thrilled to learn much about heaven, and realize that so much is revealed throughout the word about it that most everyone misses. "Heaven" just brings it all out and puts it in one place.

You should read Every Knee Shall Bow. Also, a book cannot teach what heaven is like

LOL! No, we will learn for ourselves what heaven is like. However, the word of God has many references to heaven and what it is like and the author of the book I recommend has taken every reference and put them all together and has done a worthy study on it. So...it is worthy of reading. At least it will get rid of all the silly notions that many have about heaven and not only that, those silly notions they pass onto the their children. When we pass on the truth to our little ones, they become the leaders among their peers for truth and knowledge.

The descriptions of heavean are not literal, they are simply trying to convey the fact that HEaven is good. Anything beyond that we should not even bother trying to find out, especially since our own experiences cant comprehend it.
