I saw older men in hoods, old clothing, in something like a cave with torches and they were lighting something like lamps or a candles on shelves built into the back wall.

I felt like it had to do with Isaiah. I have not done enough studying to know much about the book of Isaiah so if someone could help me understand I would appreciate it.
Be careful. Not all here are Christians!

Oh Duckie, you must admit, it's a bit vague.....probably even the left over memories of movies of who knows what and when.
Reading stuff into it is about as accurate as hitting Pluto with a sling shot.

I was really hoping it was just from a chapter. Isaiah 2 is the only one I could find.

I don't believe in esoteric symbolism.

I was really hoping it was just from a chapter. Isaiah 2 is the only one I could find.

I did a search for "fire" in the NKJV of Isaiah and found 34 verses where the word "fire" can be found.
I also did a search for "torch" but only found this word in Isaiah 51:11 NIV. In the NKJV in this same verse the text contained the word "fire.

Here is the list of verses" -

  1. Isa 1:7
  2. Isa 4:5
  3. Isa 5:24
  4. Isa 9:5
  5. Isa 9:18
  6. Isa 9:19
  7. Isa 10:16
  8. Isa 10:17
  9. Isa 26:11
  10. Isa 27:11
  11. Isa 29:6
  12. Isa 30:14
  13. Isa 30:27
  14. Isa 30:30
  15. Isa 30:33
  16. Isa 31:9
  17. Isa 33:11
  18. Isa 33:12
  19. Isa 33:14
  20. Isa 37:19
  21. Isa 42:25
  22. Isa 43:2
  23. Isa 44:16
  24. Isa 44:19
  25. Isa 47:14
  26. Isa 50:11
  27. Isa 54:16
  28. Isa 64:2
  29. Isa 64:2
  30. Isa 64:11
  31. Isa 65:5
  32. Isa 66:15
  33. Isa 66:16
  34. Isa 66:24
Isaiah 50:11 may be what you are looking for.

As a side note, the word "mountain" is used as a metaphor for "religion," i.e. the high places where people went to worship their God(s).

I trust that this may help you

"Isaiah 50:11 NKJV
Look, all you who kindle a fire,Who encircle yourselves with sparks:Walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks you have kindled—This you shall have from My hand:You shall lie down in torment."

Thank you, I feel like my discernment on this is is the vision may have been a spiritual attack, because I had completed a private matter I needed to work through that took me 15+ years, and the spiritual warfare has been a lot and I'm coming out of it.

It wouldn't be the first time. I have gotten so used to it I just ignore it now.

Also I knew I was going through a battle yesterday because I felt the shofar "singing" in my spirit.

@DuckieLady Have you asked the LORD if that was a vision?
If I remembered right, yes, and what I felt was to pray for discernment, so I did, and now I understood it was an attack.

I've had them before. Maybe other people have good visions/dreams, but a lot of the time when I do, they're not from God.

I've learned not to trust mine. Except my visitation. That one was real.

I have heard that a lot of Jewish people come to salvation when they understand the revelation in Isaiah 53, which reveals Jesus the Messiah's death and resurrection. Perhaps the vision relates to that. Searching the scriptures and finding Christ hidden in the Torah.

Would you be willing testify about your visitation? I wouldn't mind hearing about that.
About 16-17 years ago, I was into witchcraft. Then I saw this guy on YouTube. Then I had a really weird experience where I heard we would get together and I would mess it up and then we would get back together (after a while) and have a baby the next year. I responded "That doesn't sound like something I'd want."

I basically said he was attractive. He responded. He asked if I was married. I was. (Bad marriage, he was not faithful either.) He stopped talking to me. Also, it hurt super bad and I remember saying to myself, "Why did that hurt so bad? I shouldn't even care."

A couple years later it comes up again after we separate. I think about it, look him up, he's not there, so I stop looking because I'm not up for stalking someone. This is around the time lightning struck the house I was living, maybe a day or two after I cut things off with a guy, because I was done with distance and I wasn't feeling it.

A few years later or so, I am in a different relationship. I have a baby. I paint a picture. I write his name in lightning. I said, "Who is that?"

I hear "Remember that guy on YouTube?" I said "I don't even know him." It didn't make sense so I moved on.

Then I end up homeless in a motel. Boyfriend at the time was not good for my state of mind. I will leave it at that and I'll leave out that part.

Then the guy from YouTube finds me on Twitter - not intentionally and we started talking.

Then I couldn't handle my situation and he ghosted me. That hurt extra bad. I didn't even know WHY. Like I know, realistically, no big deal, but at the time it was like it was destined to hurt me and it was meant to be painful.

So that's when I called out to God, had a visitation where he said IF I gave up witchcraft and trusted him, he would "fix it." I really tried. I just basically kept messing up and trying to talk to God with runes and tarot cards and everything.

Anyway the visitation was like this. His hand reached down on me when I took a nap out of a purple sky. I drew it out digitally real quickly last week so I can share a picture.

So I waited and waited and then apparently God had other plans.

I spent the next seven years reading the Bible, playing the lyre, becoming a Mennonite for a period of time, leaving a bad situation, and then I prayed for someone who would also have an anabaptist background that would understand me and understand my other situations, and said it would be impossible. That's just not going to happen.

So I downloaded this chat app where I had no interest in anyone at all. I just felt like I should leave it in the background until someone actually catches my interest, so I did.

Then Mr. Duck messages me one day out of the blue. Then started talking about Jesus and I find out he was dedicated in the Mennonite church and
had similar experiences.

And he was so gentle and kind, and so "chill" and didn't criticize me for everything I had been through, or anything that I had done, and it was effortless and fun.

So that was that experience

@Lambano I missed a part that might be important to someone.

Before I about to meet Mr. Duck in person, I was working and I stepped out of one area and started walking outside of the door and I had a vision of Paul.

Now I don't know what to think of this, because I don't believe in communicating with the saints and I'm not Catholic. But what I saw was him warning me, that what I had been taught about the way men were was not what the early churches were teaching, which I was misunderstanding- I was scared of Christian men because of the examples I had in my life and this Andrew Tate like (best example I can think of) culture we have had infiltrating the gospel.

Then that was it. It was brief. Maybe a few seconds. I agree with it. I just don't know what to think of it.

After that I had a real example of a godly man.

Interesting that this message should be delivered to you using Paul as the authoritative figure. Yet apropos, in a way. Because it's Paul's letters to Timothy and the Corinthians that the Andrew Tates of this world use to justify men's treatment of their wives and the women of Christ's church as inferiors. And no, what's being taught in Paul's name is not the way God intended; and no, that's not how a Christian man should treat his wife.

Fluffy, I could tell you'd been hurt by men, but I haven't really run into that so-called "toxic masculinity" strand of Evangelical culture myself, until for whatever reason, it has come up for me several times recently: In a Philip Yancey book I was reading, and in some articles from a news service (that was supposed to be about AI-related subjects) my employer signed me up for.

"Think of the impact if the first thing radical feminists thought of when the conversation turned to Evangelical men was that they had the best reputation for keeping their marriage vows and serving their wives in the costly fashion of Jesus at the cross." -Phillip Yancey

That vision of old men in hoods muttering some kind of ritual in a cave with candles gave me the creeps; it just screams "occult!". Okay; you didn't say anything about muttering, but that's the word that came to me, though I can't explain why. So, I looked up "muttering" in Bible Gateway and found an Isaiah hit: Chapter 8 verse 19:

19 When they say to you, “Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,” should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the Law and to the testimony!

If I remembered right, yes, and what I felt was to pray for discernment, so I did, and now I understood it was an attack.

Given your personal history, I can see why you discerned that vision as a spiritual attack, and I can't disagree.
