1. it happened in AD 70. This was also Jacob's Trouble. Why do you think the diaspora happened.

What happened in 70 A.D. was only the destruction of the 2nd temple and thus the orthodox Jews old covenant worship. Christ's Kingdom was only established by The Spirit at the cross, and not over all nations.

Just the idea that Lord Jesus prophesied of a final beast kingdom for the end of this world, proven to be only at the end because His 2nd coming will destroy it, is clear evidence that His literal, physical Kingdom is not yet established here on earth. Thus the Jewish Diaspora that happened by the Romans scattering the Jews in 70 A.D. was NOT a SIGN of the end.

Nor was it the time of Jacob's Trouble. Those you listen to have apparently omitted the Jer.30:4-11 Scripture about the time of Jacob's trouble being for the end of this world, and not back in history.

2. The Branch is Jesus Christ.

The "BRANCH" of Zech.6:12-13 is indeed Lord Jesus Christ. And He will build His future "thousand years" Millennial temple in Jerusalem per Ezekiel 40-47 when He returns.

3. The final Temple is the Body of Christ. We each are a Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Who are these unbelievers in your opening statement. If someone disagrees with you does that make them an unbeliever and you a saint or vice versa?

After Christ's future "thousand years" reign, with a new stone temple in Jerusalem, Rev.21 shows there will then in the new heavens and new earth be no need for a stone temple.

The idea that we make up the lively stones of true Temple is a METAPHOR applied to the Temple of The SPIRIT. The "temple of God" Apostle Paul pointed to in 2 Thess.2:3-4 is about a STONE TEMPLE built in Jerusalem for the end.

NO FALSE ONE would ever... be able to corrupt the TRUE TEMPLE OF THE SPIRIT. And certainly not corrupt Lord Jesus Who is the Stone Which the builders rejected in that Temple of the Spirit. This should make it obvious that Paul was NOT pointing to the Temple of The SPIRIT. I even have to QUESTION the Faith of those who believe the Temple of The Spirit could ever be corrupted. A TRUE CHRISTIAN would understand such an idea can only come from the devil and his children. So a believer listening to those false men show they are only accepting their 'agenda', and not staying in The Word of God.

The core statement Jesus makes is this: the Kingdom of God is not something you can point to with your physical eyes. His clearest wording comes from Luke 17:20–21, where He tells the Pharisees:

“The kingdom of God is not coming with observable signs… nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
Below is a clear breakdown of what Jesus meant, grounded in the passages you’re thinking about and consistent with your own theological framework.

️ What Jesus Meant by “Not Seen”

Jesus was correcting the Pharisees’ expectation of a visible, political, earthly kingdom. They expected a Messiah who would overthrow Rome and establish a physical throne. But Jesus says the Kingdom:

  • Does not come with visible signs (no armies, no political takeover, no spectacle)
  • Cannot be pointed out geographically (“Here it is!” / “There it is!”)
  • Was already present among them because He—the King—was standing there.
This matches your belief that the Kingdom is not a future earthly empire but a divine reality already established in the first century.

The Kingdom Is Real, But Not Physically Visible

Jesus describes the Kingdom as something that:

  • Grows quietly and internally, like leaven in dough (an unseen process)
  • Begins in the hearts of people who submit to God’s rule (an inward transformation)
  • Is recognized by its fruits, not by outward spectacle (righteousness, peace, joy)
This aligns with your view that people today participate in the Kingdom through faith, not by waiting for a visible geopolitical event.

Jesus Also Says the Kingdom Is “Not of This World”

In John 18:36, Jesus tells Pilate:

“My kingdom is not of this world.”
This reinforces the same idea: The Kingdom is divine, spiritual, and heavenly in origin—not a worldly political structure.

How This Fits With Your Beliefs

Based on what you’ve shared before:

  • You believe the Kingdom arrived in the first century.
  • You believe Jesus fulfilled His promises to that generation.
  • You believe the Kingdom is a spiritual reign, not a visible earthly empire.
  • You believe people enter it through faith and transformation by the Spirit.
Everything Jesus says in Luke 17 fits perfectly with that framework.

He is essentially saying:

“Don’t look for a physical kingdom. God’s reign is already here, but you won’t see it with your eyes.”

When Lord Jesus said in John 18:36 that His Kingdom is not of this world, He was pointing to this present 2nd world earth age, which is destined to be destroyed by fire.

So if TODAY'S world is already Christ's Kingdom, then how is it that this WORLD is going to be destroyed by God's consuming fire?

Amazing how some folks get all wrapped up in 'religious' dogma and shut off their brain that God gave them in order to have wisdom.

Lord Jesus also said in Luke 17:21 that "the kingdom of God is within you." He was pointing to The Holy Spirit manifested WITHIN the believer on Him. That means by our 'spirit' as born again by The SPIRIT. That... is the Kingdom today that was manifested by His cross. His future LITERAL, PHYSICAL KINGDOM is still to come and is NOT of this present world. And this is EASY to understand if we just stay with God's Word as written.

Just sharing what Jesus said, Davy.

For people to learn from what he had to say. He said the kingdom comes with no observation, and its not of this world.

I dont believe in a global destruction of the world.

Yes the temple will be rebuilt. But not on the temple mount. That site is the old Roman Fortress Antonia. the actually site of the temple mount is south of that.. Once the people find this out. they can start immediately.. Sadly tradition has to many of them praying at stones which the Lord said not one stone would be left..

1. The Western Wall is a retaining wall, not the Temple wall

This is the strongest and most widely accepted argument — and it’s true.

  • The Western Wall was not a wall of the Temple building.
  • It was part of the retaining wall that supported the expanded Temple Mount platform built by Herod the Great.
  • The Temple proper (the sanctuary, Holy Place, Holy of Holies) stood on top of the platform, not against the retaining walls.
This means: The Western Wall is Second Temple–period construction, but not a wall of the Temple itself.

2. Jesus’ prophecy (“not one stone will be left on another”) means the Wall can’t be from the Temple

Some argue that because Jesus said the Temple would be completely torn down, the Western Wall must be later or unrelated.

But historically:

  • Jesus’ prophecy referred to the Temple sanctuary, not the retaining walls.
  • The Romans did destroy the Temple building completely.
  • Retaining walls were not part of the sanctuary and were left standing.
So this argument misunderstands the architecture.

3. Muslim religious authorities have claimed it is not Jewish

Some Islamic leaders (not historians) have argued:

  • The Western Wall is “just the western wall of the mosque.”
  • There was “never a Jewish Temple” on the Mount.
These claims are religious-political, not archaeological. Archaeology overwhelmingly confirms the Second Temple stood on the Mount.

4. The Western Wall is not the only surviving structure — so it’s not uniquely “the Temple wall”

Some argue that because other retaining walls and gates survive, the Western Wall is not special or uniquely tied to the Temple.

This is true, but it doesn’t disprove its Second Temple origin:

  • The Western Wall is not the only surviving part of the Temple Mount complex.
  • The southern, eastern, and northern retaining walls also survive.
  • Remains like Huldah Gates, Robinson’s Arch, and other Herodian structures still exist.
This argument is used to challenge the idea that the Western Wall is “the last remnant of the Temple,” but not to deny its Second Temple–period origin.

5. The upper courses are from later periods

Some argue the Wall can’t be Second Temple–period because:

  • Only the bottom seven rows are Herodian.
  • The upper layers were added in the Byzantine, Muslim, and Ottoman periods.
This is true — but the lower stones are Second Temple–period.

✅ Summary: What these arguments actually prove

These arguments do not show the Western Wall is not from the Second Temple period. They show:

✔️ It is not a wall of the Temple building

✔️ It is a retaining wall built during the Second Temple period

✔️ It has later additions

✔️ It is not the only surviving structure

✔️ Some political/religious groups deny its Jewish origin (without archaeological support)

But the archaeological consensus is clear: The lower stones of the Western Wall are authentic Herodian-period construction from the Second Temple era.

Heaven and earth will pass away Matthew 24:35

Hello Rocker, all that means to me is that the world (their heaven and earth) they understood and knew by the Mosaic Age was coming to an end.

All sacrifices at the temple, all those preisthoods, all those things collectively was in their heaven and earth.

You are still implying your superior knowledge to others intellect. If Jacob's trouble hasn't happened, I ask you, what could be worse than what has already happened? You are grabbing the 1000 reign as literal out of Revelation. I have news for you, Jesus is reigning right now at the right hand of God for 2000 yrs now. Jesus said all prophies about Him are ending at the Cross. Matthew 18:31

So you are jealous of those who actually STUDY... God's Word line upon line... yeah, it's obvious too, and that you don't study. So much for your hot air.

Jacob's trouble did NOT.. happen back in history. It is about the coming "great tribulation" period that Jesus warned His faithful Church about for the last generation that will see His future return.

Dan 12:1
12 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
KJV

Jer 30:7
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
KJV

Matt 24:21
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
KJV

Mark 13:19
19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
KJV

Now you accuse of Jealousy now. tisk, tisk, It took you a long time to respond. I'm sure Jesus approves of your arrogance. I know. Lets just let history prove who interprets scripture right.

Are these guys credible? It seems to be starting with the suggestion that a synagogue be placed on the temple mount.

What do you think? @WPM @Spiritual Israelite @Davidpt @Marty fox @Davy @WalterandDebbie @Marilyn C @Anchorite @ScottA

If a third temple is rebuilt how will it effect your eschatology?
I'm not going to waste my time watching the video, but the building of a meaningless physical temple on the temple mount, which would not be the temple of God, would not affect my eschatology at all.

What verse are you saying "the man of lawlessness" appears. The word "lawlessness" does not appear in the kjv bible.

2Thessalonians2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

That verse is referring to a literal temple, not a metaphorical temple.

2 Thessalonians 2

Weather man of sin or son of perdition its all the same but not the same description or purpose as John has for the antichrist in his epistles.

What does Paul repeatedly tell us the temple of God is?

Hi ss,

Yes, the third temple on the sacred site will be rebuilt as God`s word says - in the millennium with the glory of God over it.

However, the temple that the A/C desecrates is already there. Jerusalem has a temple.
The Jews also build an impressive Temple on King George Street in Jerusalem. It was constructed with the same local stone as was Solomon`s Temple. This will be the Temple that man`s world leader desecrates. (2 Thess. 2: 4 Matt. 24: 15)

In 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Paul references the temple of God (God's temple). No physical temple in Jerusalem built by those who reject Christ is God's temple. We (the church) are God's temple (Ephesians 2:19-22, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 2 Corinthians 6:16, 1 Peter 2:4-5).

I think they are too. "What if" scenarios force one to think outside their current paradigm. Some live in eschatological boxes and seem afraiTrd to peek outside of them. I posted the video and opened the thread just to get some discussion going. It seems to me if the temple is rebuilt then amillennialism has been dealt a one/two knockout punch. The first being the re- establishment of Israel in 1948.
This is utter nonsense. Amillennialism is not dependent AT ALL on whether or not some useless, meaningless temple is built by a bunch of antichrists in Jerusalem or not. Also, the establishment of modern day Israel does NOTHING to refute amillennialism, either. This is what you have to resort to when you are not able to refute amillennialism with scripture.

Amil is a completely different Bible and beliefs that are shot down immediately.
LOL! You can't be any more delusional than you are. It's not even possible. You are completely incapable of forming coherent arguments using scripture. You can't shoot down anything with your random, reckless and incoherent approach to interpreting scripture.

Who else would the Jews dedicate the temple to ?
Not the one true God. No one who rejects and dishonors Christ can honor God the Father.

Luke 10:16 He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”

John 5:23 "That all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him."

A good question. How could God sanction bringing back animal sacrifices? If they were re instituted how could it be claimed it was God's will?

So you believe that a corporate indwelling of the Holy Spirit excludes any need for a literal temple? Do me a favor. Present an interpretation for Rev 11:1-12.

Ok, humor me here. Give me a verse by verse interpretation of Rev 11:1-12 so I understand how you see it/
The temple is the church, why would John ever be told to measure a literal building? The beast has a 3 1/2 year persecution of the church There are symbolic messages in this text.

The two witnesses are symbolic of the law and the prophets who witnessed about Jesus and mirror His life death and resurrection.
