What do Angels look like. Are they like all the pictures, so that's what we have implanted in our brains, do they have wings / or do they come as a vision? What do you think please.

Angels are pure spirit. They have no form and no sex. They can appear to us as though they have form in the book of Tobit. At the end Tobit says:"I am Raphael, one of the seven angels who stand ready and enter before the glory of the Lord........As for me, when I was with you, I was not acting on my own will, but by the will of God. ......Although you were watching me, I really did not eat or drink anything—but what you saw was a vision."

the idea that anges have wings was actualy developed during the babyloniasn captivity , because in Persia the main religion is Zorastrianism. The God of Zorastrianism had wings and thats where the imagery came from. Other then that Angels look just like men from the description in the bible , only tall !! Cheribims and seriphims however are of a completly diffferent class. If you want to class them as angels ...

My favorite part about the angels is when Jacob say the angels descending from heaven by a ladder(stairs?) from the throne of the Lord to earth.

think is has been often suggested that the idea of wings in "other" than human rational beings, (especially describing beings most never see in this life) is often a way of presenting swiftness and the more wings, the faster. Note that not all angels are described alike so most say it is a given they vary in powers and abilities. Eyes are often understood as wisdom, being able to "see", knowing, so 6 eyes would be wiser in that sense than 2.

There are different ranks of angels. The arch angels being the highest. God stationed them both at the entrance of the garden of eden in genesis. They both had swords, this is the first mention of a weapon in the Bible.
