imo when you get to Nihilism, make a u-turn? lol

but practically speaking just turn the stove on high and put your hand on it, and don't remove it until you are convinced the pain is real :)
Would that be similar to the frog in a pan of cold water on that same stove with a high flame? He is cooking all of the time.

Ah, I dunno about crossing over into realms and spaces.
I suppose some people do! (I have a couple times in deep meditation...but that is neither here or there, as the saying goes.)
If you are referring to me saying, 'there is no me'...it's just I know now the ego of Miss H is not me...
"I" is really not what I thought it was. 'Me' is part of a dynamic Wholeness of a Being we call God.

If you are referring to, 'we are 99.99999% empty space'...well, that is what quantum physics tells us now.
I mean nothing is what it appears, doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that!
Read any article on matter and that it isn't matter; a wave is a particle and vice versa...if you have not had that direct experience yourself, that is.
Nothing is what it seems.
That's why this place is a called an Illusion...I knew that when I was 8 yrs old!
This place is not real.
Jesus tried to show us by walking thru walls and walking on water...
not even our so-called Physical Laws are real.

and Hi @Enoch111...yup, our soul is surely real. :)
Yes, Miss Heburn..and why space(s) virtually all empty space ??

I must ask Miss H. Do you also think that physical pain is not real? There are some who believe this and, I was just curious if you also do?

Only this first part is for you, Nancy...then I go off ... lol.
Lemme first ask you this...so you might understand me better.
When you dream, say, you are being chased by a lion or a scary man with a knife...if you wake up
sweating, panting, terrified, blood pressure up, heart beating was that real? ;)

I do believe all here know of advanced people that can lay on a bed of nails, certainly walk on hot coals, feel nothing plus have to redness or burns...in other words it is all in the mind.
If I laid my hand on the stove would it hurt? You bet!
If I practiced more mind control could I not feel anything, plus, bend forks,
walk on water...you bet!

I am sorry I brought up anything about quantum physics or that this place not being real.
I did think some here knew this stuff already.
Nothing you see is real. Nothing is what it appears to be.
We are post Einstein, Max Plank, David Bohm, folks...doesn't everyone know a table is not a table...it just looks like a table to our limited senses?
This isn't some New Age stuff I'm making up here, guys.

If our brain and eyes were advanced enough to see what the table really was,
(so we use an electron microscope),
we would see it for what it is...certain atoms, with a certain number of electrons, vibrating at a particular speed, at a certain distance from one another to appear as a table...wood atoms being
different than steel atoms.
When we look into the actual atoms on the subatomic level...we are in for more surprises...and when push comes to shove.....there is more empty space that's in that table than 'matter'...or particles appearing for us as matter.

When we light a match to it...it is no longer a table, but heat and light.
We saw how much heat and light and sound was in ONE atom of Uranium235!
Water was not water to Jesus...a wall was not something impenetrable to Jesus...cuz he
knew how to move atoms, making water into wine...
manipulating then farther apart and closer together, adding electrons and protons...that's
what he did when he 'ascended into Heaven'...he dematerialized, meaning he separated his atoms further and further and farther apart...is this all new to you?
What did you guys think he did?

I am sorry...I am not the best teacher of this stuff...so should not have gotten on this topic...of what is real and not real.

Yes, when I hit my thumb with a hammer the pain is real to my mind.....someday
might I be able to alter that perception? Probably....sooner if I worked on it more...
if that were my focus.

What seems real is not what you think. But, hey...if you want to think that it is...I certainly
am not trying to convince you other wise...but this is what I meant earlier to explain myself.

The only thing really real to me is Spirit.
That's me. Doesn't have to be how you see things.
I'm thinking none of these discoveries interested some of you...that's why it sounds new, is all. :)

Oh and i am no Nihilist....life is full of meaning!!

Lol...it is real only in the dream state. BTW-I believe that the spiritual realm is more real than the hand in front of my face. All the rest of your post, glad it was not for me-way over my head, lol!

I know, right!? What some people sometimes don't realize is that you have this world, and then you have the spiritual world...which created and maintains this world...it holds it all together!
So which is more powerful? Which is the one to hold on to for dear life?
Which is the one to depend on?

By faith he [Moses] forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. (Heb 11:27)

The hard part for most of us, IMHO, is separating the 2 in a "practical" way!
But, you nailed it pretty good ;)

Yes, this is where living by faith is fun...oh,
the stories i could tell of only living by faith...maybe I'll start just a thread on that
and each day tell another miraculous 'seeming' story...which is simply trusting God,
Spirit, Holy Spirit or the spiritual realms, heavenly realms for everything that seems
pretty darn impossible.
And, others can join in! :)
The more we rely on Spirit...the more we rely on Spirit.
It is my life! I have nothing else going on...this is where being an idiot really counts...cuz
I MUST rely on God! :) I have no other choice.

Yes, please DO share! And neither do I have no other choice but Him to depend on, and yes, it is exciting to see what He will do next!

I will find a good forum...I am sure we have a Praise section....ok...but I warn you...most things you will think I make up.
Some I have already told I'm sure...but who cares...skip over them, right?
