Where is bbyrd009/ Mark

I just noticed that bbyrd009 ( our friend Mark) has no profile page any more.
It looks very much as if he has been suspended or banned!! @lforrest ?

I was just chatting to him on Friday, and asking him what on earth we could do to raise the atmosphere on this Site...(which seems to have become heavy, bookish, and devoid of the nice *friendly-welcoming atmosphere which it used to have.

All the warmth seems to have gone out of the Site of late. )

So, by our conversation I knew he was as concerned too , yet he assured me that this Site was still the best one that there was, and told me to 'stick with it'.
He also said that he would never leave and if he was missing then he had been banned.

I WISH that I was a good Thread starter...but I am useless at starting interesting threads that are inclusive and appeal to a cross section.

I have been watching Marks posts, and for the life of me I see nothing which could cause him to be banned.

Anyway...just wandered if any others know anything here about why Mark has gone.

Yeah I read his latest posts and see nothing in them controversial at all. Pretty mild for Mark actually. I think this site does well with a person like Mark that challenges traditional "cookie cutter" Christian thinking. I hope hes just stepped away for a day or two and when he returns he brings aspen, Job, and Pia with him! Without them 4 a lot of flavor will be missing here, to me.

I guess referring to parts of our anatomy is upsetting to someone, ty for the thoughts though. Didn't mean to offend anyone, and the parts were needed to make the point. So i'll make it somewhere else, no biggie. Y'all have a nice day!

I stated that we do not tell 4 year olds about the name/function of certain anatomical parts for a reason, and naming the parts was I guess offensive to someone. A good clue about where ppl are at may be gleaned from what offends them I guess

I'm going to disengage for a bit here, but I can be reached at bbyrd009, just leave a comment or something, and maybe i'll even whip the page into some kind of aesthetic shape. Please attack any disputed points there with abandon

and be advised, I may incidentally refer to your anatomy at times ok.

yes, and I should say that I could have as easily referred to "certain anatomical parts that we don't explain to 4 year olds" in just that manner, I guess, if I were interested in being pc, which I mos def am not

I agree. I think you already know you can often be so vague, obscure or cryptic that no one has any idea what you are saying. So..... what the heck are you even talking about?

I love Mark! He makes me think...having to decipher his posts kinda forces you to, lol. If he was banned, I might just eat my hat. I have seen so many terrible, sarcastic and downright mean folks on this forum for a while now, and for the life of me, cannot understand why nothing is said or done about any of it. Many regulars have left that I miss very much. It saddens me as I'm not on as often anymore. I will be praying for the peace and unity we once had to be restored! And, I hope you all will too.,

directly confronting the Cult of Sol Invictus is not allowed on most Christian forums, this is a huge thing already

When someone calls Christians *the cult of Sol Invictus* he has no business on a Christian forum. He could always join some Muslim forum, since Christians for them are infidels.

Sol Invictus = Unconquered Sun, and the pagan Romans had such an official cult, alongside other cults. But Augustine wrote against this cult. To throw this term at Christians is reprehensible.

Well said. Some are so speedy in condemning others....thus declaring themselves as righteous. And presuming that 'they' never offend anyone with their opinions or beliefs ...
I am praying that the Lord helps us to see the positive in each other and warm the atmosphere up a little. ✟

I'm guessing that even though you quoted me , you were speaking to bbyrd009. Or maybe it was to me?

It took some of us a while to 'get the gist' of what is being said ...but in fact so often it is well worth the effort.

I also wish that you were on the Site more than you are at the moment. I miss your interactions here.
