No such thing in scripture. Moses was Hebrew of Levi, not of Judah. Zipporah wasn't even that, neither the mixed multitude that came out of Egypt. The Calendar in scripture belongs to God, since God created it (even beginning with Genesis). It is God's calendar, and especially the feasts given in Leviticus 23.From what I have been told the OT Jewish Calendar ...
Whomever told this to you, erred greatly, and several citations from scripture, from Jesus, and even historically (and currently) may be provided upon request. The 7th day back then in Genesis, is the same 7th day we have today. Time has not been lost or misplaced.and the calendar we use today is not in sync with each other..
That is impossible, and man-centric religion. Only God can make something holy, see Genesis 2:1-3. God did not make every day of the week, "holy", but rather, only a specific one, the 7th day (Exodus 20:8-11). Therefore, man cannot keep that 'holy' which was never made "holy" by God, unless they are attempting to place themselves in the place of God?...also there are many people who keep everyday as Holy unto the Lord.
"His rest" (Hebrews 4), refers directly to Genesis 2:1-3, the 7th day. In short (much more detailed upon request):...and the "rest" isn't that what we enter when we are saved? We enter into His Rest. ...
Hebrews 3-4 (among many others; John 14:15; Exodus 20:6; Isaiah 56:1,8; John 10:16; Isaiah 56:2-7, Acts 4:24, 14:15; Revelation 10:6, 14:6-7, &c).
Hebrews 3-4 is clear.
Hebrews 4:3, "my (God's) rest" and "the works were finished from the foundation of the world", which is a direct reference to Genesis 2:1-3. It even uses the word "finished". God rested the 7th day in Genesis 2:1-3. It is His rest, the 7th day, the sabbath (rest) of the LORD thy God, Exodus 20:8-11.
Hebrews 4:4, "he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works", which "certain place" is Genesis 2:1-3; re-cited in Exodus 20:8-11. The 7th day the sabbath (rest) of the LORD thy God.
Hebrews 4:5, "my (God's) rest)", citing Psalms 95, which is citing Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11, etc. Again, this is the 7th day the sabbath (rest) of God at Creation in Genesis 2:1-3.
Hebrews 4:6, "remaineth", from when? "from the foundation of the world" as per Hebrews 4:3 and thus it is not new, but has been around from the beginning.
Hebrews 4:9, "rest", sabbatismos, literally and truly sabbath keeping in scripture and in all known extant Greek sources, dictionaries, and so on and again "remaineth".
Hebrews 4:10, "his (God's) rest", which is the 7th day the sabbath (rest) of the LORD thy God from Genesis 2:1-3., "as God did from his (works)", which "works were finished from the foundation of the world" as per Hebrews 4:3.
Hebrews 4:11, "that rest" (ie God's rest), the 7th day the sabbath (rest) of the LORD thy God.
This is the strawman, or the non-sequitur argument. It is not what Seventh-day Adventist (etc) are saying. What we teach, from scripture, is that those who knowingly (not in ignorance, which God winks at, but still commands all to repent; Acts 17:30), transgress God's Law, shall not enter Heaven, where there is no sin (1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7, etc)....and finally do you really think God will deny us passage into heaven because we gathered in an assembly to worship Him on Sunday, or Monday or whatever day?
The body of believers may gather on any and every day with no injunction anywhere found in scripture against such, and in truth they met "daily", "continually", etc (Mat 26:55; Mar 14:49; Luk 22:53, 24:33,36; Acts 19:9) and likewise among the followers of Jesus Christ (Luk 24:51,53; Acts 1:3,9, 2:46-47, 5:42, 6:1, 16:5, 17:11,17; Heb 3:13, etc).
What we are saying is that such gathering on any and every day, does not negate that all mankind ought to keep the 4th Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11), which covers the whole week, not just the 7th day, and even the whole creation.
All things will be judged, whether good or evil, and the whole person, not just heart, but all deeds, words and thoughts. See Ecclesiastes 12:13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:10, etc.Isn't it the heart of man that will be judged?
I have strong issues with those who continually present a strawman, and make a caricature of the doctrine, and attempt by human reasoning to relegate God's explicit commandment to obscurity and do not listen to what we are saying in verity. All in scriptural "charity"/love (1 Cor. 13) of course.I have strong issues with church doctrines that teach people are in danger of being judged because of a day with which the come together to Worship His Holy Name.
Revelation 14:6-12 is warning, even right now, the whole world.
God is to be worshipped 24/7/365. That is not the matter. The matter is for those claiming to worship the true and living Creator God, do they honour Their Father in Heaven in keeping His commandments, especially the 4th:
Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
