On a large scale basis, the world has seen an extended time of relative peace and prosperity. Of course, there are still many conflicts and many areas where believers are killed for their faith. The world as a whole has not been at war since World War II. This is almost seventy years of relative peace and prosperity across the globe. The history of man, however, has been the rise and fall of empires as stronger armies come in or a nation-state grows complacent and weakens from the inside. Even in the time of King David, it was routine for nations to go to war seasonally to secure their borders and their place in the world (2 Samuel 11:1). This constant fear, intimidation, and instability is part and parcel to the world in which we live. The current economic crisis threatens to increase the threat of world instability as people lose jobs, go hungry, and get unruly. Some nations will go bankrupt, and the world as we know it will likely be very different not too far down the road. But this is a simple prediction, as the globe is and always has been in constant flux. We have just been spoiled by this relatively lengthy prosperity, especially in America.I don’t know precisely how America will go down, but I do know this Age is ending, it will end because God has spoken about it through out the O.T. and the N.T. and God has sent the Message he is sending the tribulation through the seed of Ishmael. They are camped around us, now. It will come on us quickly, when God is ready to release it. (Zech 13:7-9) The sword is Ishmael's seed and they are camped all over America. Here are four things to keep in mind during times of great upheaval so that we can remain pure, filled with joy, kept in peace, and brimming with hope. For I want to remind you that in Zechariah 13:9 Gods says he will speak to us and will answer our prayers during this time He is purifying our impurities out of us. We will praise Him through it. Those who keep their, thoughts, purposes, and intentions fixed upon Christ will be guarded in perfect peace by Christ Himself. Keep focus on the coming kingdom of eternal life with Christ, that his second coming is near, and Our reward of eternal life. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isaiah 26:3 KJV)When things around us begin to destabilize, we can really lose focus if we are not careful. If we want to be at peace, we must remember that by remebering Christ and His promises to us can we be kept in perfect peace. In times of crisis, we can’t afford to lose focus of the only Person Who is fully in control. Patience and trust and prayer. We are HIS CHILDREN. He died for us. Our hope is in the power and love of Christ, to be with Him eternally in His presents, living upon the earth, in His Kingdom, He establishes with His faithful, called and chosen ones. This is our anchor of the soul, a sure and steadfast encouragement. For Our King to bring many sons to glory forever. That time is approaching us quicker than most realize. “So that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope given to us. The hope in Christ, we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast from HIM who has entered the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.” (Hebrews 6:18-19)We as believers have a hope that transcends this life. God never promised that this life would be easy or that we would be kept from pain and hardship (John 16:33). Ask Jesus about the nails, floggings, his face beaten and spit on, or Job about loss of family, children, boils, the Old Testament prophets about persecution, or the disciples about martyrdom. In this world we will have trouble, but we need to take heart for through Jesus we have help. Our hope is not in this life or about God making this life wonderful for us in external terms. If our house is built on that assumption, it will fall in tribulation. God makes our life wonderful in intimacy with him, in seeing HIS WORKS performed in us, when we extend His love given to us, shared with others. We are then gathering for HIS Kingdom He will establish at His coming. Our House is being strengthened to withstand the winds coming for we have come to know Him and trust Him. He will give us the promise of eternal life. We must stay the course, and be encouraged for Our King will not forsake us or leave us. Suffer though we may, Isa 24:7 The new wine (Christians) dries up and the VINE wither; all the merry makers groan. The Rock will guide us through and deliver us into the coming kingdom of God. Isa. 25:9 In that DAY, they will say, Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he SAVED US.This is the Lord, we TRUSTED HIM. Our hope that anchors our soul against the onslaught of distress from this life is that we are guaranteed eternal life with Christ, because we have believed upon Him and put our trust in Him as Savior and Lord. Hoping for God to make this life easy is no hope at all.Trusting Him to give us calm during the storm reminds us that, though the waves crash, we have an anchor, and the anchor holds. We will enter into the promised Kingdom of God that is fast approaching us. There is no greater hope than to be on this earth with Christ's government reigning over the entire world, not just in us. Life is short, so don’t despair; rather, make it count for the glory of God.that we may be told by Our King, "Well done, my faithful servant."Psalms 90:3 you turn men back to dust, saying, "Return to dust ,O sons of men. Ps. 90:12 Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (and be the faithful servant)I believe that God limiting our lives on this earth to seventy or eighty years on average is evidence of His grace. He knows that sin has marred this world, the creation, and our bodies. He knows that sorrow is very much a part of this life. Thankfully, there are many good things, too, many graces of God to enjoy (e.g. Ecclesiastes 5:18,9:9, Acts 2:42-47, Psalm 127:3). But the thing for us to remember is that we have a very short window to carry out God’s plan for our lives, and rewards in eternity will be dictated upon our faithfulness in this short time frame, for the Lord knows the day he removes our breath. The more we are mindful of how quick this life is, being but a vapor that is here and then vanishes away (James 4:14), the more we will be interested and driven to do acts that will lay up treasure in heaven that will not rust or decay (Matthew 6:19-20). In the Kingdom of God on earth, Peace (Isa 60:17) your governor and righteousness (Christ)your ruler, Isa. 60:18 No longer will violence be in your land,, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but your walls will be called Salvation and your gates Praise Isa. 60:20 you sun will never set again, your moon will wane no more; The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of SORROW will END. Isa. 60:21 Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the Land forever. Amen.So endure to the end, for the end is worth it all. Let us keep our focus on the one who we know and trust not to lie, "Christ".“And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)In God's kingdom soon to come on earth that will be set up in Zion, the whole earth will come under the Kings ruler ship, there will be no more broken bones, no more infections, no more diseases, no more handicaps, and no more grieving because the first things will have passed away. Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection, the 2nd death has NO POWER OVER THEM, for they will be Priest of God and Christ and will reign for a 1000 yrs. We have this as our goal, to be given eternal life and be in God's government established upon this earth judging angels and the world (I Cor 6:2-5)For now, God knows how much we have cried, keeping our tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). Then, He will wipe them all away. If that is not a word of encouragement, I don’t know what is.Hope is a rare and priceless commodity, but the believer has an infinite supply. Through Christ we can have perfect peace, a meaningful existence, a right perspective, and an enduring hope. Let us not forget the big picture as the storms of this world gain strength. Continue building your HOUSE, on the strong and sure foundation called the ROCK. In Christ's love Vickie

I enjoyed your post Vickie...it is filled with hope. I agree that Ishmael's seed is and will be a great problem for us but remember too that the sword is His Word. Satan uses that sword to deceive "in the house of My friends." [Zech. 13:6].
