So I just had a revelation of the importance of the body, while on Earth. As Peter says it is a "tent" (2 Peter 1:14) that we must put off in due time. But why are we given it, for the short time that we are? The point is that we are able to shine a little light, before we enter into Glory, that the brightness of that Glory not destroy or blind or sadden us. If we never shone any light, being in the light would be Hell and our faith would be undone. However, contrasted to that is the joy unspeakable which we will have if we are able to sustain the light - sustain at first in our Earthly bodies, but sustain all the more in our Heavenly bodies. This is the promise of the Heavenly body.
The whole point of the Heavenly body will be next to second nature, since our soul will dwell in it, like it does our Earthly body - not identically or without power, but aboundingly and with greater grace. Like driving a slow car and seeing the sights, then driving a fast car and being able to take tight turns with more confidence. Not that we rush our praise to God, far from it, our praise grows and grows the more we dwell in His Presence. There is power in this, because the world is able to see the faith that is coming, and is not at first moved to flee from it. Rather the desire in the world, is to experience the light for itself and that more and more. For a moment it seems incredible that we receive so great a Heavenly body, for such little faith!
And the Devil's pride becomes a blessing! He concentrates so heavily on destroying our Earthly body, that once we receive our Heavenly body, he can no longer reach us! His strength is wasted! At that moment, when we are free of the Devil, the Lord is most interested in what praise we have in Him, as though the Devil had never existed. This is the test! Do we have faith enough now, that our Heavenly body can carry the inspiration we had, into eternity to the Lord. Even then we need the Holy Spirit's help to amplify our praise, that's true, but that help is not in doubt! The Holy Spirit will be in our Heavenly body, to dwell with us in eternity forever more, giving us strength forever more!
