So it is true, we are made in the image of God, by inspiration and shaped in the impression of Christ, by spirit - but what about when we reach Heaven? When we reach Heaven, we are given a Heavenly body (scripture confirms this), which is strengthen by resistance. Chief resistance is to the Devil, but it is not immediately clear cut. Somethings we have been tempted by in life, will still haunt us, if our resistance is weak; on the other hand, nothing will haunt us, if we let it all be forgotten. This is the struggle of the soul: to lay hold of the Heavenly body, without the Devil laying hold of our essence. This takes conviction, and for that we need the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is able to discern between essence and soul, and is able to strengthen the spirit to resist the Devil. The more you surrender to the Lord, the easier this process will get. Added to this, is the fact while on Earth we focused our life on prolonging our life, in Heaven, in Heavenly bodies, our focus will be on ending the Earth's influence over our soul. There will be acts and works that further end the connection between Earth as leads to Hell and free us to dwell in Heaven (on Earth without fear of the snare, or above or beyond). Just as being born again in this life, frees us from the Hell that emerges from Hell, being convicted again, by the Holy Spirit, will free us from Hell on Earth as leads to Hell. All this is part of the struggle, the struggle to bring praise to God, from wherever we are.
So does our Heavenly body have a facility for praising God? Yes! More than is lawful to fully reveal in this earthly life! Our praise in our Heavenly bodies, is what defines men's hope, here on Earth! But not only that, what hope men have in eternity, this world, another or a new one. Imagine our praise in our Heavenly bodies being the backbone, of everything that God creates in recognition of His Praise. Praise was there in the beginning, don't forget that - it will be there in the end too! But it will be there, in the end, because it was handed to us, in this life! That's the meaning behind the Host bringing the worlds together, to give every opportunity for the Lord to receive praise! And us with Him!
