The parable of the wedding banquet (Luke 14:16-23) says how all the people originally invited began to make excuses. It was people who had been given a raw deal in life that came along. This is so true. I and friends invite many thousands of people to receive God's Spirit and find his Life, but to a man they don't come, not for any good reason . . . why?It is because they want to fulfil the desires of the flesh. Then someone with a problem comes, sees God transform them, they then bring other people with problems.

I know what you mean i think as christians we all make excuses at some point in our walk with god but the key is we must try to look past them and do gods will in our life. Look a Thomas in the bible he was a horrible doubter but yet even he had faith. John 20:26-29 should help. And i will be praying for you tallman :)
