Jhn 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

That was the other thing. The manna in the wilderness had a duration of time before it would turn wormy and unedible.
It was given to them to show them that God had given them rest from their Labours on the 7th day Sabbath.
It was also a sign to those who ate the bread that Jesus gave them, that He himself is THAT Sabbath Day, where we find rest in.. forevermore.
He is our DAILY BREAD.
Praise God!

wasn’t aware they kept a few there for the prophesied Messiah. What of Genesis 49:11 Lexicon: "He ties his foal to the vine, And his donkey's colt to the choice vine; He washes his garments in wine, And his robes in the blood of grapes.

Mark 11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

Any significance?
I was reading this and what came to mind was Simon the Cyrene.. the man who helped Jesus carry the cross.
Donkey = Beast of Burden.

Mar 11:1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
Mar 11:2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
Mar 11:3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
Mar 11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
Mar 11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
Mar 11:6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

Mat 27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

Mar 15:21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, G2956 who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

Luk 23:26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, G2956 coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

Cyrene = "supremacy of the bridle"

interesting..

where on never man sat.

a large and very flourishing city of Libya Cyrenaica or Pentapolitana, about 11 miles (17 km) from the sea. Among its inhabitants were a great number of Jews, whom Ptolemy I. had brought there, and invested with the right of citizens

How far is Cyrene from Jerusalem?
Travel duration from Cyrene to Jerusalem is around 25.21 Hours if your travel speed is 50 KM per Hour. Jerusalem travelers are welcome to visit our travel driving direction page for detail information with road map. Traveling from Cyrene to Jerusalem is connected by more than one route.

Now this is the passover where many from all around the world would come for the festivities.
Jhn 11:55 And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

I feel this is a dual event. The colt that bore him as the King of Israel when they all put palm branches beneath his feet..
and
This Simon of Cyrene that bore the cross for the King of the Jews on his way to Calgary.

Where two roads meet.

Just thinking..

we maybe do not hear the same there or see it differently. Only sharing another perspective on Zechariah 14.

verse 8 speaks of ‘living waters shall go out
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; ...in summer and in winter shall it be.

Living water. John 4:11-14 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? [12] Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? [13] Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: [14] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

also how many times He spoke of being the Living water, the fountain of Living water: Jeremiah 17:13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.

verse 9 speaks of “in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name One.”
... “and Jehovah shall be King over all the earth: in that day shall Jehovah be one, And His Name One.”
And His Name One: John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

1 John 5:7-8 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one. [8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

John 17:21-23 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Ephesians 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us ;

Verse 12 And this shall be the plague wherewith Jehovah will smite all the peoples that have warred against Jerusalem: their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their sockets, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
...Though the outward man perishes. Seek the Kingdom (Reign) of the Lord where thief does not approach nor moth consume.
Galatians 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
Lamentations 3:22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

verse 17 speaks of ‘those who goes not up unto Jerusalem to worship the King ...upon them shall be no rain.
17 And it shall be, that whoso of [all] the families of the earth goeth not up unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, upon them there shall be no rain.

which goes with Verse 8 And it shall come to pass ...living waters shall go out from Jerusalem. And His word to the woman by the well that He IS the Living water
John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
...And it shall be, that whoso of [all] the families of the earth goeth not up unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, upon them there shall be no rain.
(John 3:5-7) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

just an opinion but not sure how He isn’t the Living water spoken of...
@VictoryinJesus When you quoted about 'living waters' in Zechariah I thought of John 4 and then I saw you had quoted it also...

Crossroads in a city are great marketing locations. Still are today.

Simon of Cyrene was selling in a "T" junction Abortifacient.

The donkey colt was for sale...but also usable for the Messiah. Kinda like a car lot.

I don't know if Simon was selling anything. He was from out of town and happened to be coming to Jerusalem for Passover.
I did find it interesting though that Ptolemy I had given the Cyrenes citizenship.

Ptolemy I Soter was a companion and historian of Alexander the Great of the Kingdom of Macedon in northern Greece who became ruler of Egypt, part of Alexander's former empire. Ptolemy was pharaoh of Ptolemaic Egypt from 305/304 BC to his death.

Oh look it's Pharaoh.. lol.. of Egypt even. And Ptolemy I gave the Cyrenes citizenship to what?

Cyrene was located in northern Africa in eastern Libya. A Greek city in the province of Cyrenaica, it had a Jewish community where 100,000 Judean Jews had been forced to settle during the reign of Ptolemy Soter (323–285 BC) and was an early center of Christianity.

The Cyrenian Jews had a synagogue in Jerusalem, where many went for annual feasts.

Then are the children free...

Mat 17:24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
Mat 17:25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
Mat 17:26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
Mat 17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

I'm not sure if all roads lead to Rome or Egypt. I think they are Mother and Daughter so to speak.
Either way this guy Simon had to go through the purification process to be partaker of the Passover.
The Roman soldiers saw him, grabbed him, and put the burden of the cross on him.

And then you have this prophetess:
According to the supposed visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich, Simon was a pagan. The Romans recognized he was not a Jew by his clothes and then chose him to oblige him to help Jesus carry the cross.

Well this man Simon even with his "citizenship" wasn't really free after all, was he.
He was tied, bound to his citizenship to Egypt, Jesus said loose him, and he wound up being a beast of burden.

I wonder who the fish was...
Leviathan

Jon 1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Jon 2:10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

JONAH!

The piece of money for tribute.. for who? This is the foundational question.. who is it for?
Is this the answer?

Jon 4:10 Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:
Jon 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

Mat 17:24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
Mat 17:25 He saith, Yes. .....

Jon 4:6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, H7021 and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. H7021

What is this gourd.. this plant that gave a shadow over Peter's head when he had to answer if they paid tribute?
If he had said no.. then what?
They would have had to prove citizenship to Rome.
And the Lord is Lord of all... so Peter accepted the kings of the earth over the Lord of creation.. again.
To save their butts.

I'm thinking Grace.. the hand of the Lord was covering Peter's head in the heat of the day.
7 times 77 .. even

There are so many layers.. when Paul talks about heights and breadth.. He isn't kidding..

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Rom 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

@VictoryinJesus What you wrote reminds me also of Psalm 1:

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."

(My emphasis.)

There is so much there in Jonah, yeah. My question is what came up in a night, and perished in a night?

I don't know if Simon was selling anything. He was from out of town and happened to be coming to Jerusalem for Passover.
I did find it interesting though that Ptolemy I had given the Cyrenes citizenship.

Cyrene was everything you said. But look it up in Wikipedia. Cilium was an herb that was it's chief export. So important was this Abortifacient that they even printed it on their money.

Now what you probably wouldn't know unless you walked the via De la Crusa (way of the cross) in old city jerusalem like I did...this very location is the start of the spice/herb market. The best of the best locations in the herb market.

Seeing how this was the spot that Jesus fell...and they needed someone to carry the crosspiece for him at this location there's more that can be said.
The most condemning thing about abortion possible. That the weight of the sin of abortion was too much for Jesus to carry to the cross...and He had to have help.
Sure, Jesus died for those sins too...but this sin was extremely heavy.

And so...when someone asks about the new testament being silent on abortion...you now have the answer that it was not silent whatsoever. It has one of the most condemning things to say about it.

Another thought on Jude is
1) spots in your feast of charity
Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

2)feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds;
Carried about of winds ...Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

3) trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; [13] Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
James 1:6-7 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Churning, foaming out shame, wandering, tossed to and fro Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ...For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. ...carried about by every wind of doctrine and sleight of men waiting to deceive...feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds of every doctrine ...without water 1 John 2:27-28 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you:

I was reminded of the Hebrews that came out of Egypt complaining the Lord had brought them into the wilderness to die.

Num 11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
Num 11:2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.
Num 11:3 And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.
Num 11:4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
Num 11:5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
Num 11:6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

So here we have Jesus feeding 5000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread.

the mixt multitude are all the people from the surrounding cities which came out to follow Jesus, even those of cities outside Judea.
It was a mixed bunch. Not just poor but even those who had their own fishing business. Tiberias.
But in the days of Moses it was Hebrews and Egyptians that had escaped of Pharoah and followed Moses.
As there were peoples from egyptian and roman citizenship that were mingled in the crowds.
Same scenerio.

Taberah, Tiberias.. curious..

Taberah = "burning"
a place in the wilderness of Paran

Luk 24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
Luk 24:14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
Luk 24:15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
Luk 24:16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
Luk 24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
Luk 24:18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

Luk 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luk 24:28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
Luk 24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
Luk 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
Luk 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

The burning..

So you have these in the wilderness crying they want flesh to eat. They are not satisfied with the manna set before them.
This is the men who jept asking Jesus for a "sign" and how to do the works even after having witnessed miracles, they still did not believe.
They had no faith. And Jesus gave them meat indeed. He told them they would have to eat his flesh.
This set fire in them all right, but not one of faith. It was the sickle come to seperate the wheat from the tares.

Big difference between the two walking and talking, and the ones coming against him and questioning, tempting.

Luk 24:15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

by the door without in a place where two ways met;

just an opinion but “by the door without in a place where two ways met” makes me think of Hebrews 13:11-13 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. [12] Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. [13] Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

John 10:7-11 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. [8] All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. [9] I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. [11] I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

2 Corinthians 11:23-29 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. [24] Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. [25] Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; [26] In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; [27] In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. [28] Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. [29] Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?

@VictoryinJesus The gourd, contextually, I guess, while metaphorically the idea of things which do not last and are not worth concentrating on...
I see it as God's mercy.
Jonah was angry and rather than God chastising Jonah for his anger, God placed a covering over his head to cool him.
The cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.

Psa 27:9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

But Jonah was angry when the worm ate the gourd too.

Jon 4:6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.
Jon 4:7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.
Jon 4:8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.
Jon 4:9 And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

Jesus is the Gourd. The worm is the devil that smote him and had him crucified. The east wind is the tribulation against those who believe in Jesus.
And many will seek death and shall not find it.
Pity is what spared Jonah. And God's mercy spared Nineveh.

As for the Gourd which came up in a night and perished in a night:
Rom 9:28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

Gourd: such a little word.. can make a whole buffet..
Like a mustard seed even.. :)

love the perspective and insight you share. Before your post what it reminded me of is the parables of the seed sown and when persecution comes they are offended...and fall away. What withers? Like the withered hand Jesus commanded to be stretched forth and the withered hand was restored to new? when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon...James 1:11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

Isaiah 40:6-8 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: [7] The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. [8] The grass withereth, the flower(the glory of man) fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

Falleth away
A great falling away
the glory of man? Which receives the word with joy for a time but when persecution arise for sake of the word he is offended and falls away. What kept Jonah from going...whose glory was he seeking that had him bruiting and offended? Do see your point but maybe the glory of men came up in a night and perished in a night ...for a time and season to deliver them out of their grief. Matthew 13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

Jonah fainted ...Hebrews And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

Jon 4:7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.
Psalm 22:1-8 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? [2] O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. [3] But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. [4] Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. [5] They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. [6] But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. [7] All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, [8] He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

James 5:10-11 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. [11] Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

just an opinion but “by the door without in a place where two ways met” makes me think of Hebrews 13:11-13 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

I'm thinking of the two thieves on the cross beside him. One repented the other not. Again, two roads, the broad way or the narrow way.
One of faith and one of disbelief.

There is another place "without" , and another..

Mat 12:46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

This could be taken in a thousand different ways.. but what ACTUALLY happened??

Mar 15:37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
Mar 15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
Mar 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
Mar 15:40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
Mar 15:41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.

Mat 12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
Mat 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
Mat 12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Mat 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Luk 13:22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
Luk 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
Luk 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luk 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

Now Paul puts it this way:

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Rom 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Mary had to be without in order for God's mercy to land on all, inside and outside the door.
It was not a dishonour, but rather a great honour that she stood without so that mercy would begin at home (mother) .

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Rom 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

I often wondered what this meant:

Luk 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
Luk 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
Luk 2:35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Can you imagine the gossip that went around town about Mary?
Is not this the carpenter's son?
We are not children of fornication..
They basically called Jesus a bastard.

And Mary she had to live with this all the days of her life. She was "without" in their eyes, but not God's eyes.
She stood without as the testimony of Jesus said she would need to do, for God to have mercy on all.
The Mother of all living.. Eve..

Amen?

I don't know if I'm under some kind of spiritual attack, but everything I try to post is negative. "

Thank You,
I don't know who or how many thoughts were sent to the Lord on my behalf.. but I feel a darkness has been lifted, and the light is burning bright once again.

“Can you imagine the gossip that went around town about Mary?
Is not this the carpenter's son?
We are not children of fornication..
They basically called Jesus a bastard.

And Mary she had to live with this all the days of her life. She was "without" in their eyes, but not God's eyes.” Couldn’t have said it any better. “And Mary she had to live with this all the days of her life. She was "without" in their eyes, but not God's eyes.” Luke 1:48-52 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. [49] For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. [50] And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. [51] He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. [52] He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

Consider the above with:
Luk 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
Luk 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
Luk 2:35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

this child is set for “the fall and rising again”
this child is set for the death and resurrection

“for a sign which shall be spoken against
1 Peter 4:12-14 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: [13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. [14] If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye ; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

a sword shall pierce: Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

...and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,)...piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, that the thoughts of many hearts may be (opened) revealed.

Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places(hearts), that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

1 Corinthians 14:24-25 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: [25] And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Did Mary see it? “he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. [52] He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.”

this child is set for “the fall and rising again”
this child is set for the death and resurrection.
