The one who is still to come

That is true enough according to the times and terms of men, but then according to those same terms, at that time they were One, "us" again. But is that the point of the thread?

The one who is still to come

To be clear..."is still to come" was stated as true in the timeframe of 2,000 years ago.

What, where and what is the Holy Spirit like?

Fair enough. But do keep your ears on--the next wave of revelations is upon us.

How does your life experience inform your theology and doctrines?

Indeed, life experiences play a part in what we will and will not believe. They are foundational....for which Jesus gave the parable of the sower: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some fell on stony...

What, where and what is the Holy Spirit like?

You have added much--apparently your own rationale for how life and this world operates--but what is missing in your explanation is ultimately more important. Which is: Time, and therefore the universe and this form of life, all has an end.

    After effects

"Belief" is just a matter of accepting that there is more to life and this world than meets the eye. In other words, in order to not believe in anything, one would have to be in denial, or know everything there is to know. Which is it for you? There are no other options.

    OSAS from the Gnostics

Thanks for explaining your cherry picking my post and the scriptures. But the name calling, you really need to work on that too.

The Bible is not “Gods Word.” It's simply "The Bible."

God calls His word His word, and that it is (Isaiah 55:11), for: "All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made" (John 1:3). The thing is, this is all His creation. But as one caught up in the spirit and in His presence, it is my witness that the Bible is a...

    Help with John 12:32

"For many are called, but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14).

    OSAS from the Gnostics

Of course you did not quote or address all of my post--which is the same problem of not factoring in all of scripture, and thus, your doctrine. Then name calling.
  11. ScottA

    OSAS from the Gnostics

Yes, because many are called (or follow in name only) but few are chosen.

    OSAS from the Gnostics

This too is religious nonsense....the result of an equally false doctrine of believing that when one is saved they have not passed from death to life (as if one could pass back and forth)...an equally non-biblical reality. I say "equally" false, because, yes, many believe they are saved and do...

    Vision Of The Shopping Mall

An answer to many prayers. The church has been asleep, but with the morning comes the Light.

Do you believe that in the USA, people suffer from Biblical illiteracy?

Certainly there are many who suffer from biblical illiteracy. But at this time in history, that is not the greater problem. In fact, the many who are not illiterate, but know the scriptures well, have made their understanding of the scriptures, like the law, taking away the real key of...

A Warning to All Who Pretend to Follow Christ

Indeed, there is no condoning what Judas did. At least by us. However, as sin goes--we all are every bit as guilty and responsible for Jesus going to the cross. In which case, your warning was/is quite appropriate.

    POST-DESTINATION

Most are familiar with the idea of "pre"-destination. Which is of course our natural way of perceiving everything--if we believe that things were first ordained by God. Which perspective we naturally adopt from experiencing life as one day follows the next, and so on. That is where the biblical...

A Warning to All Who Pretend to Follow Christ

One answer (or context), would be: Yes, Jesus would have fulfilled the mission, as another would have been chosen. Perhaps not a follower, but a Sanhedrin spy. But Judas fulfilled the role for both followers and non-follower. He was a Jew, and also a would-be Christian, perhaps appealing to both...

SDAs, USA and the End times.

Yes, but it is not only God's written word that we should be in tune with. What is written on parchment or paper, is only the record of His actual word--which is spirit. That limited "God's written word" perspective is a big part of the problem...because as such, it is open to interpretation...

SDAs, USA and the End times.

That is just more of the same. Repeating the open discussion (the limited understanding of men) caused the denominational claims and differences, at the now individual opinion level--is the same problem, only made worse and personal. That is not God's established method of understanding...

SDAs, USA and the End times.

The problem is, "we" are not suppose to interpret. Just as there is only One true God, there is also only One true interpretation of God's word. Meaning, most of what we now see and consider as interpretations of God's truth, are actually only guesses and opinion; and yet those guesses and...
