Daniel's Final "one week" of Daniel 9:27 Made Simple

Personally, I take the viewpoint that Hippolytus taught in the 2nd/3rd centuries. Hippolytus was the student of Irenaeus, and Irenaeus was the student of Polycarp, who in turn was the student of the Apostle John... It is from Hippolytus where we see the first teaching of Daniel's 70th week...

You say I'm preaching sinless perfection. You say, "Well, do you think you can get to a place where you can't sin?" I know nothing of the kind. It is not impossible (for a Christian) to sin, but it's possible not to commit sin. ~ Leonard Ravenhill

    question about this forum

I'm glad this form really has nothing to do with that forum... I'm trying my very best to not talk about christianforms.com, because of the sour, sour taste in my mouth from that place... but I'm glad that I left, and I'm glad that this place exists.

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

I agree with you, that on, on the basis, we are saved by grace through faith, and not thee faith, as in a denominational faith, or the faith as it is described by A Roman Catholic or Presbyterian Church. But I also agree with Johann, in the sense that "the faith" is that faith in Jesus Christ...

Why Hell is not a place of eternal conscious torment.

The term "forever and ever" is an incorrect translation. The most literal translation would read "to the ages of the ages"... The reason behind the differences forever and ever and to the ages of the ages is because when it concerned the viewpoint of the Jews and the viewpoint of the Greeks...

The difference between essential doctrine and non-essential doctrine

Just just wanted to make a loving and friendly and reminder, as Christians we must understand that there are essential doctrine and there are nonessential doctrine. What do I mean by that? essential doctrine is doctrine and theology that are central, or foundational to the core of...

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

The only reason I did not mention the OP in my comment is because we've had nine pages and over 170 comments, and I was hoping someone other than the OP could answer that... but unfortunately, if I'm reading you correctly, that particular subject has not even been made clear to everyone... so on...

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

I'm a little bit confused by what the OP is saying... is it asking a question about a faith created by a government, or is this more along the lines of denominational thinking?

Did Jesus die the Second Death?

No, Jesus did not suffer the second death. the Second death is reserved for those who have rejected Christ and/or have taken the mark of the beast. There will be no resurrection for those who have suffered the second death, and this event occurs right after the white throne judgment that we find...

Why Hell is not a place of eternal conscious torment.

I don't think Matthew 7:13 is necessarily talking about needing the Holy Spirit to get through the narrow gate... in Matthew 7:13, the word narrow comes from the root word "histemi", which means to "stand fast, stand firm"... so I think what Matthew 713 is actually saying is that it is through...

I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her

It doesn't matter what you or I say... the only thing that matters is what God says... and God just gave you 95 reasons from His Word to let you know that you're believing in a lie...but I doubt you're going to read those reasons, because you probably don't want to make the effort of actually...

I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her

the key thing is to test everything, including what Bullinger taught... and I don't hold to his teaching.if you want to get down to it, then read what the other side has to sayhttp://www.againstdispensationalism.com/95theses.shtml

I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her

I'm sorry, Christina, but I don't hold to ultra/hyper/dispensationalism, because I see that fallacies and inerrancy in that theology.

I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her

you can find most of it herehttp://www.jesus-is-lord.com/dispensa.htmanother reason why I don't hold to dispensationalism is because it opens up the idea of actually supporting a pre-tribulational rapture, and the possibility of multiple raptures... which are false.

I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her

(Christina;62765) Right but God is always correct thats why we follow him and his Word I completely agree with you on this, Christina, in all aspects... God is always right... but we must always be on the look for false prophets and false doctrines/teachings and the like... they're extremely...

I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her

(Christina;62761) I dont know how you gather that sense God starts telling us that is going to happen in Genesis and it follows through the entire Bible until his return. It might be your interpretation but its wrong. Its the very basis of Gods plan to open salvation to gentile (all) and...

I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her

I agree with that, tom... but Romans 11 even talks of in-grafted branches onto that olive tree... even Paul was both a Benjamite and a Jew, and he still spoke that there was no difference in Jews or Gentiles when it came to Christthat's fine and all, tom... I can understand that, and I can agree...
