    Help with John 1:12-13

I've thought about what you said and I've come to the conclusion that no, Frodo would not have free will in your example. All of Frodo's actions were predetermined in a higher dimension, let's call it, the "author dimension". Frodo can do nothing at all without the author (God) directing all of...

The Revelation Prophesized Rule of 41 Years

I don't have anything worthwhile to add, other then I sure hope we don't have to endure the antichrist and his minions for a whopping 41.6 years. What do you make of the 7 year Tribulation theory? Also, welcome to CB. Your name is funny.

Are demons/fallen angels capable of loving themselves?

Okay so you believe that there are spirits that tempt us to evil right? Where do you think such spirits come from if not from the active enemies of God?

Are demons/fallen angels capable of loving themselves?

Not everyone is in Christ though. So not everyone is protected by his victory. Only the believers.

Are demons/fallen angels capable of loving themselves?

At one point before their rebellion they must have known what Love is. Did they lose that knowledge in the fall? Did got extricate it from their being? If they are full of pride and envy, that seems to suggest a will to self preservation, does it not?

Are demons/fallen angels capable of loving themselves?

Since God is the truest essence of what Love actually is and since He has abdicated Himself from that race of rebellious angels and their cohorts the demons (if there's a difference between them at all) how then is it possible for these evil ones to love anything or anyone at all, including...

    Help with John 1:12-13

Yeah this is pretty much exactly why I have come to the conclusion that I cannot be a Calvinist recently. Free will is a vital doctrine and people don't seem to realize just how vital it is. Romans 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

    Help with John 1:12-13

I feel like the more I've been reading scripture lately, the more I've been finding contradictions. John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— Now, correct me if I'm wrong. To recieve something or someone implies...

What was the thorn in Paul’s side?

I don't know Brakelite. Romans 7:24 sounds pretty "present tense" to me.

Will we be sexless in heaven?

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. It says we will not be Male or female. Does that mean we will be transgender or sexless or something? And if that's the case, then what about the verse...

Why do we even have free will?

And that's why God created free will.

Why do we even have free will?

If only God's will exists then there is no "rebellious" will.

Why do we even have free will?

God gave us free will, but expects us to obey Him in everything and deny ourselves and never follow our hearts because they are evil? Why give us free will at all?

When do you "expect" Jesus to return?

Shouldn't He have returned by now?

What was the thorn in Paul’s side?

If it wasn't an affliction, then why did Paul ask the Lord to remove it?

What was the thorn in Paul’s side?

I agree it did. My question is: if the thorn kept Paul from pride, why would Satan continue to aggravate Paul with the thorn, since doing so would benefit Paul by keeping him from pride? Why would Satan aid Paul like that?

What was the thorn in Paul’s side?

If Paul's thorn was an affliction that God allowed Satan to give him to keep him humble, then why would Satan continue to smart him with it when doing so would be to the benefit of Paul's soul?

    How to deny the Cross

Are you suggesting that all trinitarians are antichrist?
