Lucifer was not the highest ranked angel in heaven

There is also tradition that says Lucifer was an archangel himself. And yes, he would be the highest ranking among the evil angels as he is their leader. That's pretty obvious. If the cherubim and seraphim are of equal rank then what exactly distinguishes them in your view?

Lucifer was not the highest ranked angel in heaven

But if he wasn't the most powerful, then how did he become so influential?

Lucifer was not the highest ranked angel in heaven

We are told in scripture that he was a cherubim. I believe the seraphim order of angels were higher than he was. I think the angels that surround the throne of God proclaiming "Holy Holy Holy" in Revelation were seraphim and were higher in rank than he was. Do you believe he was the highest...

I guess it shows that even in his agony He still had the presence of mind to think of others.

    sexual immorality within marriage?

I'm wondering if God sanctions all sexual acts in marriage no matter how deviant they might be, like BDSM and other such taboos. Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. it sounds like this...

Why Hell is not a place of eternal conscious torment.

If the fire is eternal then why would it still be burning after the evil dead are annihilated? What's the point in that?

    I don't understand Romans 9 anymore

I'm okay with people interpreting it as speaking about Israel, but I also think it can be interpreted as speaking about an individual basis. Israel is comprised of individuals after all. But thanks for your reply.

    I don't understand Romans 9 anymore

God owns humanity. God can maim and torture humanity in hell if He chooses, because He owns humanity. Therefore, if I own someone, wouldn't I have that same right? Why or why not?

    I don't understand Romans 9 anymore

Basically, by Paul's logic, I should be allowed to buy an animal and maim and torture it because it's my property and I own it. Romans 9:22-23 22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for...

    Help with John 1:12-13

Here's a C.S. Lewis quote I found on FB that I think is good. "God created things which had free will. That means creatures which can go wrong or right. Some people think they can imagine a creature which was free but had no possibility of going wrong, but I can't. If a thing is free to be good...

    Help with John 1:12-13

Sorry Cady I just can't jive with that now. What you've just described is really not free will, it's pure determinism. I'm siding with Ernest ITT.
