WHAT IS "SPEAKING IN TONGUES" and the SIGNIFICANCE OF IT?

Tge question should be, what WAS speaking in tongues, because such miraculous gifts have ceased. The bible says it was a sign to unbelievers and it was in earthly languages as evidenced on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) when those unbelievers of various languages present, heard what was said in...

What are the main doctrinal differences between Jehovah's Witnesses and mainstream Christianity?

The below few verses contradict JW false doctrine that Christ is less than or not equal to God Phil 2:6 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: John 10:30 30 I and my Father are one. Hebrews 1:8 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for...

How Many Christians Believe When We DIE, Our Human Spirit Goes Instantly To HEAVEN?

I didn't address that. I simply made the distinction regarding the spirit, the body, and soul. Also, don't trust NDE's because the positive ones infer that non Christians are in heaven and have nothing to fear.of death. That's contrary to the word of God.

How Many Christians Believe When We DIE, Our Human Spirit Goes Instantly To HEAVEN?

The Spirit returns to God and the body back to the earth as the scriptures teach. The soul is not the Spirit if that's what your insinuation was by your wording.

What do you mean by "mainstream Christianity"? Is that the false one where the blind are leading the blind off the cliff?

    Hebrew 6 and Blasphemy

Your very last short paragraph about not to fret because we all sin is confusing as relates to Hebrews 6, as the aforementioned isn't discussing simply sinning. The essence of Hebrews 6 is found in verses 4-6. Keep in mind this letter was written to newly converted (saved) Hebrews and relates to...

can someone give me a biblical view of marriage . what is acceptable and how god sees it.

Here's a repost of mine on this subject. Marriage: What is marriage and when do you really become married? Is it after some formal or elaborate ceremony or process, such as when a justice of the peace, ordained minister or “priest” of some church mumbles some words in front of you both while...

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

You can disagree all you like, but God does not contradict himself. And your answer to your original question is in the verses you cited. Verse 24 provides the answer. 24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and...

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

That's a different issue. And yes, there are some errors relative to translations and where they may have been derived from, but the actual scriptures don't contradict one another.

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

Scripture doesn’t contradict or conflict with scripture. If it appears to do so, it's man's understanding or lack thereof, and not scripture.

Is the story of Noah literal?

If you're a believer, then you must accept it. Christ's lineage is traced back to Noah

Spiritual gifts: Unconfusing them part 4-understanding Acts 9:10-19

Many times, people erroneously cite Acts 9, and specifically the words of Ananias to Saul in verse 17, as justification that Ananias, who was not an apostle, also possessed the ability to bring about the manifestation of the Holy Spirit/Ghost, the falling of or being filled with the...

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

You've again said a bunch of nothing and didn't address the issue nor my response which questioned your logic and understanding or lack therof, of 1 Cor. And I'm certainly NOT catholic. I'm Christian.

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

You conveniently forgot to list the translations that say 'in' that do agree with the Greek. And you're not understanding the 1 Cor passage you quoted or maybe you didn't read 1 Cor beyond that part. Read a bit further to 1 Cor 3:6. Paul planted and Apollos watered. Paul was the orator.

Do you believe Spirit baptism replaces water baptism?

Yes, I'm sure that IN TIME, they, all his disciples, were eventually baptized in his name but not until his death. Makes no sense and contrary to scripture to say or suggest otherwise. Edit: One other very important thing you're overlooking is, at that very early point in the scriptures, Jesus...
