    The gift of tongues

It would seem that all your background in the church has led you to a falsehood that you "blindly" trust. The TRUTH is found in Jesus Christ. Your faith into inanimate objects of the universe to give you enlightenment is unfortunate. Rocks, Physics, Time and Space cannot provide the answers to...

Good day Brent ! Just a simple question. Is it possible to upload images in a post that is not from a URL. In other words, if I had a Jpg on my HD that compliments my post, could I in some way upload it into my post?

    The gift of tongues

I can see by your post, which is complete psycho-babble, that you have no clue of what the Bible teaches on this subject. Your opinion, your assertion is what it is and certainly does not line up with what God's word teaches. Mind you, do you believe in God at all or is He just "God is an...

    The gift of tongues

Yes, we need to initiate the speaking. As you said open our mouth and speak forward. Acts 2:4 states that the upper room folks "began to speak" not just spoke in tongues. This demands faith and trust in God, and some people just do not want to go there. They would rather say that it's not for today.

    The gift of tongues

It saddens me to see all the confusion when I read the many posts that seek to unravel the Gifts of the Spirit and more specifically the gift of Tongues. And so, I will attempt to bring some clarity to the discussion, first through experiential means and then through exegetical means. I was...

Is there a recipe for discipleship?

Yes, I am well aware that our calling, our Great Commission is Mark 16:15-18. But how can one make disciples of all nations if he is not one himself. And a disciple will never be without the sanctification process that I listed through 2Peter 1:5-7. I agree with what you said about John 15:13...

Is there a recipe for discipleship?

Is there a recipe for discipleship? Let’s see if we can’t find a verse that is just that, a recipe. Now we all know that the scriptures are not filled with recipes of any kind. Mind you, could the 10 commandments be called a recipe for good, honest, respectful living? Perhaps it is. I once...

    Free Will

(Newsflash) Yes, we do choose God. This is the faculty of choice He deliberately gave us, so that when we do choose Him, it is truly genuine. Not forced, not contrived, not preset. God is in no need for toys. A bunch of GI Joes that He will have fun with in heaven and even a greater bunch that...

    Free Will

I see, so when you cannot answer why God creates both good and evil (in contradiction to James 3:11, Isaiah 5:20, Psalm 5:4), you deflect to the creature not allowed to question the Creator (in contradiction with Isaiah 1:18) we must trust in His justice. (Some justice that is, when you are...

    How fast are you going?

How fast are you going? In the epistle to the Hebrews (12:1), the author introduces us to the RACE. He tells us to RUN hard so as to win the prize. He also entreats us to lay aside the weight of sin that ensnares and would slow us down, like running with a ball and chain around our ankles...

    Why water into wine?

There is plenty of scripture in the OP to support the interpretation of the water, the wine and what Jesus can do with it in both ways. Read it again and ask the Spirit to enlighten you.

    Free Will

You misunderstand the will. The will is like anger. Anger is a catalyst. It will drive you to sin (ie: commit murder) or drive you to do better. (if someone hurts us it can drive to be forgiving and unconditionally loving) If the will is directly tied to sin, then it is not the will but a...

You are more than welcome. Stay tunedI'll be posting more of what the Lord has shown me.

    Why water into wine?

Because there are other meanings behind Scripture. It's like a love letter, there's the obvious and then there's reading between the lines. As long as everything stands firm against other scripture for support.

    Who was the Good samaritan?

Did you read the Oped? Did I not describe enough similarities in the story to support what I proposed? Or is it that you are argumentative? It seems to me that there is more than meets the eye in this parable or even the story I posted on "Why water into wine". Why water into wine? Believe it...

    Who was the Good samaritan?

I agree mercy has it's limits because at some point justice must prevail, hence Sodom and Gomorrah. The last stretch of mercy for these people was when Abraham persisted to ask mercy for 50 righteous down to 10. It's just speculation whether Jesus reached His limit with the Pharisees. After all...

    Who was the Good samaritan?

Who was that Good Samaritan? I think we have all heard the preaching of the Good Samaritan as a parable meant to stir us into the same kind of action. This is in no means wrong as all of us should be good Samaritans to our neighbours at any given time. However, in order be a good Samaritan, we...
