Was Jesus Heretical? - Why did they crucify Him?

Do you mean, in Judaism? Not sure of the context of your statement. Please explain. (or point to a post # the explains) Thanks. [

Was Jesus Heretical? - Why did they crucify Him?

Everyone seems to be thrown by my use of the word orthodox. I mean it in the broadest sense. An unorthodox (heretical) action, or belief, is anything outside the accepted norm. [

    Was Jesus Orthodox? (or Baptist?)

I hope that means that you don't believe that wrath and revenge are God's character traits. https://www.christianityboard.com/threads/is-revenge-a-sin.54187/ [

Is God Magnanimous? - (as opposed to tyrannical)

Stumbled upon a word I rarely see used. Magnanimous. I sought a complete definition. (see below) When I found it, I realized that it fit my personal view of God. God is magnanimous. Defined as: Highly moral, especially in showing kindness or forgiveness, as in overlooking insults or not...

Australian Muslim nurses admit to killing and not treating Jewish patients!!!

They both confessed to murder. I hope they investigate that. Must be evidence, if true. [

Is the "eternal fire" of Sodom still burning? - Nope

What's your take on the broad and narrow ways? [

Is the "eternal fire" of Sodom still burning? - Nope

Meeting Fine Linen was my point of entry. (sort of) It was one of his topics anyway. It was mostly a matter of timing because of a family situation I was going through. My sister-in-law informed my mother-in-law that she couldn't believe in a God that would put people in hell. Mom was pretty...

Is the "eternal fire" of Sodom still burning? - Nope

I think the head guy passed away. New leaders have emerged elsewhere. [

The Crippling Effects of Christian Dogma - Mindless Parroting of Apologetics

I see this problem all too frequently on the forum. Parroting mindless dogma. And claiming it was what God says, when the poster knows full well that it is a matter of their OWN personal opinion. (sigh) What is the cure to this crippling malady? Do we need to pray for spiritual healing for our...

    Was Jesus Orthodox? (or Baptist?)

St. SteVen said: Was he a heretic by their standards? My question was spurred by those who took issue with my stance calling me a heretic. Seems those in His day did the same thing to Jesus. [

Is the "eternal fire" of Sodom still burning? - Nope

That's a point we can agree on. Thanks. Yet that "Jesus knocking" idea is used regularly in evangelistic efforts. [

    Was Jesus Orthodox? (or Baptist?)

What is this thing with accusations of unorthodox, heretic, heterodox, pagan, etc. Seems like blatant tribalism to me. Us versus them. When will we ever learn? So, was Jesus orthodox? Or did he operate outside the realm of the orthodoxy of his day? Was he a heretic by their standards? Perhaps...

Easter Celebrations are Worship of the Sun

The intent of the calendar, as far as I can tell, was to use (document/codify) what God intended for measuring time. Extending that to pagan idolatry is just that, an extension. [

I'm exercising free thought and free speech. Did Jesus die to save you from God? [
