The thief on the cross misconceptions

You are wrong. First of all, the passage you're referring to, 1 Cor 12:13, that was noted in my previous post copied from the kjv which I typically read, says "by one spirit", is a poor translation. See the interlinear wherein it states "in one spirit". Also, the one baptism is water baptism...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Water baptism into Christ is required under the NT. My point was not that water baptism isn't required but just not under the OT as a requirement for salvation. It's a moot point and shouldn't enter the discussion as pertains to the thief on the cross which is the point I was making and...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

If you believe then you'll follow through with your belief and obey the commandments. If you don't believe then you'll do nothing. It doesn't have to specifically say but it doesn't have to either, it's simply logical and makes common sense. Also the scripture says "baptism doth now save us", 1...

How to teach : Salvation #2

You're straight out wrong and do not understand the plain language of the scriptures. Goodbye

Was the Thief on the Cross Baptized or Not?

You're missing the point. It's not that the thief was saved ir forgiven by following old covenant ritual criteria, but rather that Jesus forgave him as he did others during his earthly ministry such as the adulterous woman. The NT did not take effect until Jesus died so baptism is totally...

Was the Thief on the Cross Baptized or Not?

Baptism is an irrelevant question as relates to the thief. Jesus was still alive so he was saved and forgiven during the old covenant. Baptism did not become a requirement until the NT. And baptism is not a public declaration of anything. The bible doesn't say or infer that. Who was the...

How to teach : Salvation #2

You, I think, are missing the point. Salvation is s free gift but that doesn't mean everyone will receive the gift. In order to receive the free gift of salvation you must do something in order to get it. If you do nothing and ignor the commands necessary to receive it, you'll not get it.

How to teach : Salvation #2

A gift to who? Those that believe and obey. And obedience requires that you do something which us what the scriptures say and teach and is what I outlined for you. It is a process.

How to teach : Salvation #2

Salvation is being saved and to be saved is a process. You must 1st believe and have faith. You must confess your belief as did the Ethiopian eunuch as recorded in Acts 8 and consistent with Romans 10:9. You must repent as were ge jews told to do on the day of Pentecost as per Acts 2:38. And...

Was the Thief on the Cross Baptized or Not?

And even if the thief was baptized, it would have been unto John's baptism. He couldn't have possibly been baptized into Christ because Christ was still alive. It would have been no different than the Ephesians who were properly baptized into Christ once they were made aware.

How can you tell if Biden is lying?

It's easy! When he opens his mouth.

Why did Jesus tell the thief he would be with Him in paradise that same day?

The thief was saved when Jesus forgave him not when or just because he confessed his belief. A person then or now is not saved by belief and confession of their belief. Then it required Jesus forgiveness. Now we have more that's required of us according to NT scriptures including repentance and...

Was the Thief on the Cross Baptized or Not?

I've posted thus clarification previously which should address this. The thief on the cross misconceptions I continually encounter people trying to justify that baptism is not an absolute necessity for one's salvation by use (erroneously) of the thief on the cross as justification, as he was...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

God for sure removes them IF we are obedient and follow his commands. Like I said, you are out to lunch. Believe whatever nonsense you like. Goodbye

The thief on the cross misconceptions

You guys are out to lunch. What are we saved from? Our past sins; and you aren't saved until they're removed. And how is that done according to the scriptures? It's not by belief or faith only, nor by repentance or confession only.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

If you read a little further in 1 Cor you'll see what Paul meant by stating he was not sent to baptize but to preach. Read 1 Cor 3:6-9. There it says Paul preached and Apollos watered.

    Infant baptism biblical?

No, what's stupid is the unscriptural idea of original sin that man has dreamt up which further propagated other equally stupid ideas such as pouring water on infants as a supposed form of baptism followed by the unscriptural idea of after-the-fact confirmation of belief which is backwards as...

    Infant baptism biblical?

Jesus was a new born infant too at some point; did he have or was he guilty of so-called "original sin" simply because he was born? Original sin is nonsense. Sin must be committed. It's a transgression.
