    Calvinism is NOT a Cult!

Church of England?!.... This originated in Scotland! How much about this confession do you actually know? Well, I'm glad you like it! In that case; Chapter 9 – Of Free Will I. God hath endued the will of man with that natural liberty, that is neither forced, nor by any absolute necessity of...

    Calvinism is NOT a Cult!

.... Do you know what the Westminster Confession even IS? This is the prominent Presbyterian confession It is about as Reformed [Calvinistic] as it gets Seems to me you don't know Calvinism as well as you thought you did...

    Calvinism is a Cult

See posts #144 and #149. And trust me, that's just the warm up. Then why resort to petty name calling and emotional response backed by 0% fact? And many times, others such as Anthony, Waiting on Him, Naomi, myself and Dave have refuted these claims from Scripture. It's not that we can't...

    Calvinism is a Cult

So what your saying is "facts don't change a thing. My feelings are much more valid than any amount of Scripture you could use in defense of your belief." Usually I am not this blunt with people, but you are calling my belief a cult, and I really don't appreciate that, especially when you don't...

    Calvinism is NOT a Cult!

Westminster Confession of Faith Chapter II Of God, and of the Holy Trinity I. There is but one only, living, and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts,or passions; immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, most...

    Agnostic at heart

God does not condone polygamy.... it was not His plan for marriage. God did not condone slavery... he freed his people which were slaves, and slavery back then was completely different than the slavery you are equating it with You already asked me the final 2, and I answered you.

But again; should we get rid of jails and law, since all they're really doing is stopping people from truly following their moral compasses?
  12. Mjh29

    Agnostic at heart

But my morality is based on what I think is right, not on what society thinks is right... what gives society the right to over rule my moral beliefs? So do you believe that we should we get rid of jails and not punish anything as a crime?

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

So, God's grace really doesn't save us... what does save us is our choosing of His grace, which means we are saved by our choice not by His grace.... So you think the Scriptures teach works righteousness?
  14. Mjh29

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Exactly. Which is why even our belief is given to us by God.
  15. Mjh29

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

I couldn't agree more. God gives us faith, by His grace, and through this grace-given faith we are enabled to believe. All God's work from start to finish, which brings God 100% of the glory..... that is the real reason I am against having a part to play in our Salvation. Not that it doesn't...

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph. 2:8-9

This still doesn't answer the question; should he be in jail if his morals say he did nothing wrong?

    Agnostic at heart

Here's the problem. I would say I squished the bug because God gave man dominion over the Earth do subdue it, but you wouldn't believe that. Let the record show I did indeed answer your question However, seeing as though the life of a bug is much less important than the life of a human, could...

    Agnostic at heart

Yes, but the bug does not have moral capacity, where as humans do. If I want to go stab someone, and I think it is completely moral, should I be arrested for it? If morality is subjective, why have prisons?

Then is it wrong to kill? Or steal?
