There is only one true church

You haven't understood me. I say again: Where Scripture is silent on a topic, oral tradition may be followed. In such a case, tradition cannot possibly set aside the truth in the Scriptures.

There is only one true church

When I see gospel authors disagreeing -- for example, disagreement on whether the Last Supper was a Passover meal as the Synoptics say (Mark 14:12, Mark 14:16-17, Matthew 26:17, Matthew 26:19-20, Luke 22:7–9, Luke 22:13-14), or was eaten the day before Passover as John says (John 13:1, John...

Are Mormons Christians? (Latter Day Saints)

Christians can sin. And when they do, they don't cease being Christians. Christians can misunderstand or misinterpret Scripture. And when they do, they don't cease being Christians. Christians can define murder differently. And when they define it not to include terminating a...

Are Mormons Christians? (Latter Day Saints)

Good question. Let's tease it apart: 1. If a "Christian" denomination supports abortion and gay marriage, are they "Christian"? My answer to that would be, it depends on what else their members believe. The fundamental beliefs and practices that qualify one as a Christian do not include...

Are Mormons Christians? (Latter Day Saints)

I've only seen the phrase "a license to sin" in the context of OSAS, where it is used as a reductio ad absurdam against those who claim that they are still saved regardless of how much they may sin.

There is only one true church

No. It shouldn't be included as proof text because it doesn't support the position that you and I both share. Don't you bother to read what I post?

There is only one true church

Did the Holy Spirit write both Matt. 8:5-13 and Luke 7:2-10? Did the Holy Spirit write both Mark 6:8-9 and Matt. 10:10? Did the Holy Spirit write both Mark 2:26 and 1 Samuel 21:1-6? Did the Holy Spirit write both Matt. 8:5-13 and Luke 7:2-10? Did the Holy Spirit write both Matt. 8:28 and...

Elect or Not Elect: Why ALL Should Be Alarmed

What is the "it" you are referring to? And how did "it" organize into the papacy?

Elect or Not Elect: Why ALL Should Be Alarmed

Viewing the Antichrist as an institution rather than an individual is possible. The problem I have with the papacy as that institution is that 1 John 4:3 says "it is already in the world." When John wrote this, Rome had nothing remotely resembling "the papacy."

Eat my flesh, drink my blood, discerning the body and blood of Christ.

The simpler way to do it would have been to just address those to whom it is given to know!

Eat my flesh, drink my blood, discerning the body and blood of Christ.

What was the point of Jesus addressing his audience in parables that some are intended to understand and some not? Why be cryptic?

    Did Moses Write Deuteronomy?

Yes. Mt. Nebo, where Moses breathed his last, is north of the Dead Sea.

    Evangelicals for Harris??!!!

Have you asked Walz whether he recites that creed, or agrees with it? Worshipers can choose to worship in a given denomination without subscribing to all of its pronouncements. For example, I know many pro-abortion Catholics (a la Joe Biden).

    Evangelicals for Harris??!!!

Simple logic. Respect for opposing views is not a redefining of one's own views. Toleration of what one deems wrong is not acceptance of it as being right.

    Evangelicals for Harris??!!!

    I did.

    Evangelicals for Harris??!!!

I doubt Walz saw this video, much less swallowed its message -- like you swallowed Pastor Michael Grant's. You'll regurgitate anything that is anti-Biden/Harris/Walz, regardless of its truth or falsity. Fact checking is unimportant to you. Slamming the Dems is far more important to you. As...

    Did Moses Write Deuteronomy?

Traditionally Moses is viewed as having written all five books of the Torah, including Deuteronomy (except for the last part that records his death). But Deut 1:1 says "These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan—in the wilderness, on the plain opposite Suph, between...

Eat my flesh, drink my blood, discerning the body and blood of Christ.

Translation: "Amen, amen, I say to you, if you shall not have eaten the flesh of the Son of the Man and shall [not] have drunk his blood, you have not life in...

    Evangelicals for Harris??!!!

Isn't free speech wonderful? Any jerk can post on YouTube and find other jerks who swallow their tripe! You say "This pastor explains what is happening." I say "This pastor got his head out of his ass long enough to explain what he thinks is happening." And he's wrong. Harris's "deep...
