The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

I fear that your comedy club reference makes light of the serious failure of Calvinist soteriology.

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

So, so very, very true. Anyone even considering such a concept should take it as a reason to reject Calvinism or any pseudo-Calvinism outright.

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

I didn't say "Thank you God." I said, "Thank you god". He speaks as if he is a god, another god, as if he can perceive another's thoughts. I find that to be particularly obnoxious.

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

You are correct; you have no control over God's grace. Unfortunately, when you declare that someone else cannot received this or that, you speak as though you do have control over God's grace. You said, "Whatever I received is of grace." That is clearly not true. Your judgmental character is...

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

What an absolutely ugly self-righteous statement. But what the heck -- Thank you god.

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

Oh, I am able to receive what you think is truth, but by the Scriptures in is not. What and for whom? "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn...

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

For what sect could that not be said? Calvinism essentially rejects any human responsibility. Total Depravity of Calvinism originates with God and there is no such thing as free will against which any responsibility could be charged. Calvinism treats "all persons everywhere" to be only Jews...

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

The soteriology of Calvinism is wrapped up in the acronym TULIP. It is wrong to the point of being heresy.

US intelligence officials warn Hezbollah may target mainland US

That is basically Post-Millennialism. That was a common view prior to WWI.

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

That is all pretty much just plain old hogwash. There can be no union/bond or secret union between Christ and non-existent persons. There was indeed a preexisting plan that God put in place. But it is carried out for those persons not yet in existence according to God's foreknowledge.

US intelligence officials warn Hezbollah may target mainland US

At the rate things are going, it is all going to collapse from within. There will be no need for another 9/11. China, who is the king pin in all of this knows this and is leading the charge for the collapse. There is little difference between the motivations of the democrat leaders and Chinese...

Why do we need born again

Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever-- therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. (Gen 3:22-230. the soul who sins shall die (Ezek 18:4). The righteousness of the righteous shall...

US intelligence officials warn Hezbollah may target mainland US

I didn't say that. You act as if they care about that. That may have a big impact on our lives here and usually does; however, that does not affect our standing before God.

US intelligence officials warn Hezbollah may target mainland US

Yes, but not necessarily in this life. In fact, it is seldom in this life. I personally do not believe that God is dealing with the world in terms of nations as He was with the chosen nation of ethnic Israel under the Old Covenant. Under the New Covenant, God is dealing primarily with the...

US intelligence officials warn Hezbollah may target mainland US

The Lord doesn't need to punish us. We are doing that well enough all by ourselves. It is the natural chain of events anytime we let government take control instead of the citizens.

US intelligence officials warn Hezbollah may target mainland US

If that happens, maybe this woosy administration would actually do something to stop Iran from funding all this terrorism. But I doubt it. One more reason to get rid of the democrats in DC.

Why do we need born again

If it was their fallen state which caused their deaths, then why was the Tree of Life in the garden? If they were physically immortal, there would have been no need for the Tree of Life. There would have been no reason for it to be there in the first place.

Trump is dangerous - a Messianic Complex

I agree mostly with that also. However, Trump is not a conservative in the sense of being for a small government. And that is a critical piece of what is needed in the government today. He is, or seems thus far to be, a big government president. I feel certain that he is going to be the...

Why do we need born again

That is not true. Physical death was an integral part of the creation. One of the trees in the garden was the Tree of Life. The fruit from that tree prevented Adam and Eve from dying. That is the reason that Adam and Ever were ejected from the Garden and a guard was placed there to keep...

Why do we need born again

Same old nonsense about Original Sin. No, we don't die physically or spiritually because of Adam. We die physically because that is the way we were created. We die spiritually because we sin.
