    The Alternative to a Rapture

Maybe I misunderstood you, but I seem to remember you postulating just that. Okay, I see you saying above "removal to a safe place on earth." Okay, well I disagree with that, too. :) Ah. Gotcha. :) Grace and peace to you.

    The Alternative to a Rapture

And ~ I'm being a bit facetious with this ~ where's He going after that? :) No, when He comes back, heaven and earth will finally be one. He won't be going anywhere, nor will He take anyone with Him, either at His return or any number of years after. :) Well, this is where we could get into...

    The Alternative to a Rapture

I agree wholeheartedly. But how can you see in that passage ~ because it is surely not there ~ that with or without anyone He then returns to heaven? Grace and peace to you, Keraz.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

There is no "contemporary" or otherwise with God's Word. Well, unless you consider it all contemporary, regardless of any time reference, which is true in the case of God, the great I AM, and His Word, which stands/endures forever. Grace and peace to you.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Ah. So you're including Paul among those you consider "racist anti-semitic satanists." Hm. Well... Grace and peace to you.

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

He probably was well aware that he would be perceived as such by some. :) But that's speculation on my part, of course. :) Grace and peace to you!

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Jesus was not "made." As John says, "(a)ll things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made" (John 1:3). With regard to Adam, his failure is what made necessary Jesus's coming. Jesus... succeeded, to put it mildly. :) And this was because in addition to...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Might as well accuse Paul of anti-semitism... "For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God" Romans...

    The Alternative to a Rapture

This is incorrect. The definition of the Koine Greek verb 'harpazō' used in the New Testament is "to seize upon, spoil, snatch away or take to oneself.” Nothing about removal or taken somewhere else is intimated in any way in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 or anywhere else. This seizing is what will...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Excellent question. Especially in view of the passages from Paul's letters about all those, Jew and Gentile alike, who are in Christ, and the Hebrews 1 passage in my signature: "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

I did? :) Okay, sure. Yeah, I kind of picture Jesus always out among His people... :) And He will forever be our King... :) Maybe He and I will have a round of golf together, at, say, Pebble Beach, since we have eternity to do that... :) And maybe I'll even beat Him... Hm...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Well, opinions are like noses... :) Well, sitting in the seat of David's kingship over Israel ~ again, in the Greater sense. And He is. The idea that Jesus is actually sitting on God's hand is ridiculous, of course. :) That's what people who are not really thinking are thinking...

Jews Are Just 1/3 of Israelites?

"For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God" (Paul, who ethnically was very, very, very Jewish, Romans...

Romans 11 and the real Replacement Theology

Hey, FOTG, hope you are well! You said this to @Peterlag, and I felt compelled to comment on this: I don't think he's purposely twisting Scripture or changing the wording, but rather just misunderstanding, as so many do, what it means to "sit on David's throne." Christ Jesus's "sitting on...

Worship is the Core Issue as we see in Revelation

Well, we incur physical death, the first death, as a result of the fall and the judgment handed down to Adam ~ and all his progeny, which is everyone, of course. It's not a major point of contention. Yes, I agree that Adam's sin was Adam's sin, and we are not immediately guilty of disobeying...

Worship is the Core Issue as we see in Revelation

Yes, any Christian who says they don't struggle daily with sin in pretty much everything they do, who doesn't struggle to put off the old man and put on the new, as Paul puts it in 2 Corinthians 5, is fooling himself. You're right, we inherit Adam's (and Eve's) sinful nature from birth, and...

Interesting. I would be interested to hear your thoughts regarding this. Grace and peace to you.

The 144,000 before God at the end.

Seems to me maybe we agree more than you think we do. At least on first glance... Fair enough. Agree. I didn't insinuate that. Well that's not accurate. Not to say that what you say is not true; there may be some who say strictly that "the first is to the first is to the first," and "the...

The 144,000 before God at the end.

Well, we don't completely disagree... :) Satan is "bound" and "sealed in a pit" and thus unable to deceive the nations, which is exactly what Revelation 20:1-3 says. Before Jesus, he was able to deceive the nations, which means to prevent the spread of the Gospel beyond the nation of Israel...
