Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

I personally believe all the gospels and letters were written prior to 70Ad which is against common traditions.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Thinking on this, it reminds me of those who “may” enter into the Kingdom. Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. It’s a daily choice to put God first in one’s life. Thank you for chiming in.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Is it not amazing how quickly the word of God, can be used in terms of “This my belief and if you don’t believe my way; you’re cut off from God” It’s the gospel that one should believe in, and not what you say (scriptural quoting the Bible at someone); and seek for truth while seeking out God...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

People we also have to remember that this is an online forum with just the name “Christian” in it. I don’t even consider myself part of “Christian culture”, as a follower of Yeshua. There will be people who will lean into understanding and then there are people who will hold on to traditions...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

I got you on ignore @Eternally Grateful. Thank you for commenting on the thread and push it back to the top. I don’t believe in once saved always saved. I believe in a daily choice.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

People are worried about salvation, and losing it. Salvation is deliverance. From the bondage of sin within our flesh, though we have weakness and cannot by definition say “we are good.” There is no work one can trump concerning Jesus Christ. He has saved all from death, hell, sin, and Satan...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

I have not said anything of salvation is required on our part in fulfilling the law, if you see me say that you know I done lost my mind @mailmandan

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Your not paying attention, I’m saying faith produces works of love in people who are believers. They allow God to work in and through them. They put the flesh to death and allow the spirit to help them, asking the Father while I know I am evil and produce no good what so ever.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Citing passages doesn’t mean much without the whole of scripture to consider anyway. It’s just differing views that are at play. Here are my verses to justify my stance, here are other verses which refute the stance. The over all point is that, once saved always saved is not true. A person has...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Well the thing is I believe everyone has been saved from death, sin, hades and Satan @Eternally Grateful. The only thing is not everyone is saved to the Kingdom which is of course by faith.

Never heard read them in the Bible so can’t say.

Hey it happens ya know. And you can’t say it doesn’t.

Good @marks. Thank you. I don’t agree with you on everything but yeah, all the best! People can lose their faith though. Can’t tell me otherwise.

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Bro People who work for God and allow him to use them for his purposes are building up spiritual rewards in heaven… I don’t say people must work in order to be saved. But a dead faith, is a work that is not being shown to Gods glory, There is only one work there is “to believe in the Son of...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

Some say that you work in order to be saved. But you are really working towards spiritual rewards as one allows God to work in and through them through their life. Jesus said “store your treasures in heaven not on earth.”

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

My own answer would be I own myself. Without God in the picture and being a slave towards him. I’m a slave to my “self” by the flesh. Meaning my own soul, (mind/will/emotions) and life have been my own responsibility to take care of: whether it’s for myself or towards God if he is there in one’s...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

@marks, God gave people over to their own desires. ”Instead of honoring the divine greatness of God, who lives forever, they traded it for the worship of idols—things made to look like humans, who get sick and die, or like birds, animals, and snakes. People wanted only to do evil. So God left...

Once saved, always saved is a myth.

God let Adam and Eve choose. There are people out there that say God chose them and there is nothing they could do about it… while they may be humble in that state sometimes they can also come off as very cold. I’m not the judge of anyone’s heart. However a heart which you own, you by merit make...
