The FIRST by WATER; The SECOND by FIRE: Global Thermonuclear War, -- NOT by Some Mythical CME

If this.. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of...

Salvation with works, not by works

If that's what he is asking, I think I had already answered him... Philippians 2:12-13 (KJV) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both...

Salvation with works, not by works

The question is very confusing and looks like a 'gotcha' trap. The Scripture doesn't lay out salvation in those terms. Salvation is found in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Salvation with works, not by works

Any works that accompany salvation are the result of God FIRST working in us... Philippians 2:12-13 (NASB) So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at...

The Gospel is actually good news and here is why.

You want me to name names, is that it?

The Gospel is actually good news and here is why.

I think I had already mentioned it was a problem Paul addressed in the Letter to the Galatians.

One of the Greek definitions, for the word 'know' means to have an intimate personal knowing. Another word simply means to 'know about' someone. The Jews who rejected Jesus never knew (intimately) God otherwise they would not have rejected His Son.

Anyone denying that Christ was punished for our sins is either a heretic or has a different definition for the word 'punished', seeing you decline giving your definition of punished, I'll go with heretic... But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him...

I guess being put to death is not punishment. Obviously, it hasn't happened to you yet, so how would you know? As far as a 'cop out' goes, I guess I'll follow Scripture ... Titus 3:10 (KJV) A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; and 'drop out'.

    1. God can compact eternity into one second. Your finite logic is inadequate to comprehend God. 2. What do you think the sacrifices of spotless lambs and oxen pointed to? 3. I’ll pray that you see. 4. Mercy is transferred to those who embrace God’s Mercy Seat (propitiation) by faith. 5. Define...

What you seemed to point to was those who had experienced the works of God but never personally knew Him. Like those in Heb. 6.

They never knew the Father if they rejected the Son. John 8:19 KJV [19] Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 1 John 2:23 KJV [23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not...

They had never received their Messiah, for the most part they rejected Him. John 10:29-29 is for His sheep. Are you one?

The Gospel is actually good news and here is why.

Yes, pray that they come to know their own Messiah.

Yes, and true doctrine is that much more important.

Let's just say 'a humbling pillow' for those who receive Him but a crushing Rock for those who reject Him. Luke 20:18 (KJV) Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Interesting concept in the light of... John 10:28-29 (NASB) and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Good one, but no worry, God has other plans for those who pervert His Song... Galatians 1:8-9 (NASB) But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is...
