"Have you ever had a spiritual paranormal encounter?"

Thank you all for the variety of responses (in line with what I hoped). Being the other side of the pond the majority came in whilst I was asleep and that makes it very difficulty for me to find points at which i would otherwise have joined in. Bless you all for responding.....I guess that, on...

"Have you ever had a spiritual paranormal encounter?"

I accept the point that you make. One purpose of my OP was to clarify (to myself) whether or not my particular long, long, 'Walk of Faith' has been efficacious to salvation. I am grateful to those have posted in support, and accept the views of those, such as yourself, that seem to intimate...

Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

How do I go about the business of trying to ensure that I belong to the "true Church of God"? By accepting that all other believers are as likely to be as partly wrong and partly right as myself. That way I know that I belong to the only small 'c' catholic (all embracing) Church.

"Have you ever had a spiritual paranormal encounter?"

Now that's where I go wrong... big time. I'm always so anti those who experience what I just cannot understand.:(

"Have you ever had a spiritual paranormal encounter?"

I'm asking this to further test out my own 'odd ball' situation. I personally have never enjoyed anything remotely resembling a 'Road to Damascus' conversion, and maybe that is because, right back to my earliest childhood memories, I have always firmly believed in God and his interaction in my...

My 'brush' with Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Reaction hasn't been as largely negative as I expected and thanks to those who have dealt kindly with me. (maybe that's because I am now on the 'ignore' lists of many of my detractors) So I'll try another thread, which I'll entitle "Have you ever had a spiritual paranormal encounter?", to...

My 'brush' with Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Almost 5 years have passed since I made an OP in another forum under the following link (Click into it if you wish) livingwater.createaforum.com/general-discussion/is-it-possible/. During that time I've trolled around other forums and experienced quite vicious condemnation re my convictions ...

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

I guess you will quote that it is only "Many (as distinct from all) who are called. And that of that reduced number it is only a "few who are chosen" Does that not leave the vast majority of mankind without so mush as a 'hope'? If that really were the case then I would, of all men, be most...

What is meant by "rightly dividing the word of truth?"

"There are more questions than answers. The more I find out, the less I know" 1) What really is the 'Word of Truth'...@Enoch111 is it really "obviously the written Word of God"? Maybe it is ... but written where? On parchment or in the "fleshy tables of a believers heart"? (Jeremiah...

What is meant by "rightly dividing the word of truth?"

King James Version ?? (it's only a 'version', based as follows) Henry VIII broke with Rome and formed the new Church of England in order to divorce Catherine of Aragon and marry the then pregnant Anne Boleyn. Archbishop Cranmer was consequently instructed to set up a constitution for the new...

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

God grant that we may post whatever the Lord places within our hearts; the word of Christ dwelling in us richly in all wisdom; whilst we teach (and even lovingly admonish) one another, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing always with grace in our hearts to the Lord.

No Probs. IMO there is as much likelihood of your views being misplaced to the same degree that they have occasionally constituted constructively produced misrepresentations. It's the method commonly used by those intent more on 'winning' by finding the most effective 'hits' than on looking to...

    Christ is 'All in All'

He is the “Light of the World” He is “The Word” (Logos). The Word was God. He was in the Beginning. “All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being” (NASB). He is “The everlasting Father”. He is also the Holy Spirit (John 16:7)...we...

Sin and Atonement; each in two stages?

Thanks for that ....but. for the moment, I am wearied of bantering theology. "Convert a person against his will. and he remains unconverted still" So the bantering serves no good purpose. Yes, it's a discussion forum, but every member wants to 'convert' to his own understanding, which leaves no...

    The Provocation.

I find myself in Hebrews Chapter 3 (Hebrews is a great favourite of mine) Here's a Paraphrase: "Consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. But this man was counted worthy of more...
