See Romans 4:15 - "where there is no Law there is no SIN" Romans 5:13 See Romans 5:12 - there WAS SIN starting with Adam. 12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world See 1 Tim 2:14 - SIN starting with Eve See Genesis 4 - SIN even at the time of Cain see 1 John 3:4 - SIN IS...

Indeed he did -- God says that he "kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws.” So then - no taking God's name in vain - for Abraham No worship of false Gods' for Abraham No bowing down before images for Abraham No dishonor to parents for Abraham You know... the usual. God's...

Indeed -- the "Stranger" and I do not agree on much of anything when it comes to this topic, as we can all see.

He made mistakes at times - but God is speaking after Abraham had died -- in Genesis 26 talking to Isaac -- and God's summary of it all was that was obeying " My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws." this is irrefutable. What is more - Moses explains that phrase over and over. So...

In this quote I show that OSAS fails both in OT and NT A+ on complaining -- but not-so-good on replying to the "substance" in the discussion. BTW the fictional scenario that you are trying to "correct" where everyone sees you and I in agreement - does not exist in real life.

I think it is pretty clear to even the casual reader that we do not agree. But that does not mean there is not some tiny fraction of what you say -- that is not true. Indeed there are very small snips that are true. So I agree where at all possible If in addition to imagining that OSAS is true...

Indeed it was as God points out in Ezek 18 and Matthew 18. Ezek 18 and Matthew 18 teach "forgiveness revoked" when we have a case where Abraham does NOT keep the Commandments, Statutes and Laws - but rather turns from that life and instead adopts some form of rebellion

Genesis 26 So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines. 2 The Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all...

Isaac allowed himself to be offered as a human sacrifice to God -- that is "obedient" by any measure. In any case God does not say to either of them "you earned this covenant" - it is the Grace of God that offers -- but as God points out in Jeremiah 18 -- he revokes his promise of good things to...

I see some creative writing there. Here is what the New Covenant actually says - according to the Bible. "THIS IS the New Covenant that I will make WITH the house of Israel and the house of Judah.. I will write my LAW on their heart and mind" Jeremiah 31:31-33, Hebrews 8:6-12. Bible "details"

Genesis 26 4 I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws.”

On the other hand - the Bible says -- 1Cor 9 "I buffet my body and make it my slave - lest after preaching the Gospel to others I myself should be disqualified from it" 1 Cor 9:27 1 Cor 6 "7 Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not...

Yes Love fulfills the LAW because the LAW itself is the Law of Love - that is the foundation of all the Word of God according to Christ in Matthew 22. Love fulfills the LAW - it obeys the WORD of God. Rebellion against God is not "Love toward God" "Love me and KEEP My Commandments" Exodus 20:6...

"All the law AND the prophets" (so then ALL of SCRIPTURE) summed up in two of the commands of Moses - found in the Law of Moses. 1. Love God with all your heart -- Deut 6:5 2. Love your neighbor as yourself - Leviticus 19:18 This form the foundation of all of scripture "all the LAW AND the...

In a covenant two parties take an oath or make a promise. In the example above God swears "by His own name" by "himself" on his part. But it is still "between" two parties -- God and Abraham

This is a very good point. Romans 3:19-21 is a great example of how God's Old Covenant agreement "obey and live" applies to all mankind in both OT and NT - condemning all as sinners. It is not "just jews" that need the Gospel because they "are sinners" -- it is all mankind.
