All Things Are Lawful Unto Me

I could debate all of that, but it wasn't my intention to go in that direction, as I clearly pointed out. Thus, I won't be responding to such.

Can you sum this up in a couple of sentences?

I think I got through just the first three sentences... The I gave up. I won't bother asking if one of the early "Church Father's" wrote this, nor which one. The first 3 sentences I read and figured out are brilliant. But, what good are they? The first sentence says that it doesn't...

All Things Are Lawful Unto Me

The Biblical text: 1 Corinthians 6:12 KJV All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 1 Corinthians 10:23 KJV All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are...

Benny Hinn Renounces Prosperity Gospel !!!! I Hope TBN follows SUIT!!

Couple thoughts on the subject: 1. The problem with the prosperity gospel is that there are real and true verses to support it. But prosperity in the form of health or wealth shouldn't be the reason for serving God or turning to him. Nor should they be the reason for giving. You will be...

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

Well, it certainly interesting. It seems to me that there are always "hot topics" which will always get many posts. "Faith vs. works", the Trinity, Christmas, 3 days and 3 nights... Just to name a few. Not saying they aren't worth talking about, but the board is flooded with them and has been...

Why do so many Christians vehemently disagree?

I absolutely agree on all accounts. One thing I would add is that some of the controversies or problems were overall part of God's plan, as was the solutions. Keeping in mind that all things work together for good for them that love God, had the Corinthians not misbehaved like they did, 2...

Why do so many Christians vehemently disagree?

I get the feeling that some people think everything was fine and dandy between the Apostles and other Christian leaders, as well in the individual Churches themselves, but that is not the case. Two Epistles were written because there was dissention in the Churches (1 Corinthians and Galatians)...

Is water baptism necessary for salvation?

How poetic of you! But I didn't seperate his doctrine from him.

They don't just want acceptance...they want to rule the world.

It's ever so curious how some people qiluote the Bible to support their stance, but always Cut off one verse short. What does 1 Cor 6:12 say? And you miss what Titus 3:5 says. It's a verse that speaks more of Grace and mercy.

Is water baptism necessary for salvation?

Like I said, it isn't wrong. It was done, but not always. My point is that it is more important to be emmersed in Christ than in water.

They don't just want acceptance...they want to rule the world.

And this hasn't already happened? My stance on homosexuality is that it is a sin, but covered by gràce. I have many Christian Brothers, sisters and whatever's that I love and accept despite their sin. As they do me. But yea, there is a problem. It's destroying women's athletics because men...

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

Yea .. probably true. Sometimes fur needs to be stroked wrong even if it's wrong to do so. Correction cannot occur unless there is error. I have been in error, and if I never talked about it, I would not have been corrected.

Is water baptism necessary for salvation?

I believe it is a trivial difference, and with this I agree with charistmiclady. 1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

What are you suggesting? Have I done violence to anyone? Have I falsely accused or shown to be discontent with my wages? I am content. No bitterness at all if a thread of mine bombs.

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

Well I am not upset at it... If my posts aren't interesting, so be it. It sounds like Episkopos has an interesting strategy. He's a good man, even though we don't always agree. But if he knows how to drum up interest, that's good.

Is water baptism necessary for salvation?

With 225 messages to date at this time, I am not going to even try reading them all. But here's my take: Bottom line:. No, water Babistim isn't necessary.it isn't wrong to do, and itit butis an admirable thing, but is not necessary. 1. Most of the verses which speak of baptism don't mention...

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

I only started 6 threads, but a recent one I started wasn't noted. Boo! Hiss! I am not good at starting threads... Folks just don't respond. Guess it's just not my talent.

Why do so many Christians vehemently disagree?

Yea... That's what it comes down to. Although everyone claims they are defending and preaching Christ.

Why do so many Christians vehemently disagree?

Give me the details... Which thread and which posts. I will have a look at them. I think he's wrong about Halloween, an I did say something. He responded. It was an exchange and it's over with. Well, ok. I will have a look. Care to post it?

Gosh, I wonder who started these threads?

Did I count right? 27 threads started? Some folks have only posted 36 times (not started 36 threads).
